What: The 2009 Christmas Card Challenge

How: All you have to do is complete 10 Christmas/Hanukkah cards each month (January through November) and you’ll have plenty of cards to send out for the holidays!! (If you don’t need 110 cards, that’s fine, you can set your monthly goal for however many you’ll need, or, if you’d like, you can make Christmas thank you cards once you’ve finished with your greeting cards, however, please make sure they are Christmas/Hanukkah-themed. Just post a reply to this thread saying that you want to join and then start stamping!

You can join anytime during the year. The idea is NOT to stress. If you need to skip a month or two, that is perfectly fine. Remember, the whole idea behind this challenge is to make your life easier. We all know how busy December can be, so why not try to get one project, your holiday cards, all done by the end of November!?!

Make your cards any way you like - make them all the same or mix them up. You decide- after all, these are YOUR cards.

Checking in: Each month, once your 10 cards are complete, upload your photos to your gallery (please use CCC09 in the title so that others can search) and post a message to the thread that will be set up for each month. In the past there was some confusion because several of the months had more than one thread started. Therefore, please use only the thread that I start for each month or you might be missed.

As an incentive, there will be a small monthly prize. At the end of each month, anyone who has completed their cards for that particular month will have their name put into a drawing for a small incentive prize. At the end of November, if you have completed each month, your name will be put in a drawing for the "year-end prize basket”.

If you'd like to donate small items for incentive prizes (SU! or non-SU, even nice hand stamped items would be fine), it would be greatly appreciated! With the cost of postage on the rise, postage stamps would also be a great help. If you would like to help with incentive prizes and/or postage, please PM me.

well it's not like I won't have anything to do all year with DH being gone... so what the hey, count me in.....

Can you tell I was unable to finish my goal for 2008 - and now here I am December and only 20 made... augh!!!!

The guidelines say we can set our number for what we need....could I set mine at 6....you don't have to put my name in drawings for people who do 10....I understand....but put me on the list....I'd like to start in january...thanks

I did this last year and it was the best thing I ever did. Got all my cards done---now just to get them mailed. lol Count me in again this year. Can't wait to start.

What a great idea! I was not aware of this challenge. I'm glad that I stumbled into this. I'm struggling to get my 100 cards done right now. What a grand idea to have no stress next year! Count me in.

I did it the first year and was so glad not to have to rush at the end of the year. I don't know what happened this year but I just couldn't seem to get in gear and...yup! I've been scrambling to finish enough cards.

P.S. I just open the page to the card I want to link, click on the URL at the top of the page and click COPY, then, just paste it into your message on the thread.

I.m so sorry, I will have to pull out, 10 is too many per month, I can only do about 5.

You don't HAVE to do 10- you can do as many per month as you think you'll need. One person is only doing 4 a month...I'm only doing 5 per month...let me know if you decide to stay on. :)

I didn't do as well as I had hoped this year, but this challenge kept it in my mind, and I did waaaay better than in the past! I am very glad that I joined.
