Is it ok to post just one card for now. I am so HAPPY that I got one done!!! What with dizziness and then today Crafter's block....I just so excited to have one done!!!! Going to keep working at this technique with 4 more cards and hope to improve on it but here is
Nativity
Here is my card for February. I've had them done for about a week....but, just never got a picture done. As it was, the sky was a little overcast...so, you can't see the sparkle from the Stickles.
Here's my February design. I've made 11 so far but will keep making more as I'm having so much with this one. Using Copics without being concerned about shading which makes it fast and easy.
Left love, Lily. Gave you credit. Congrats on completing your Feb.
Here are my 5 cards for February. It's been very hectic around here with my daughter's wedding, but I hope in the next couple of weeks I can get around to seeing all the lovely creations everyone has made and leave comments.
Great cards, Karen! Left Love and gave credit. Congrats on completing your February Challenge!
Yay!!! I have my 5 completed!!!! I had another bout with the dizzies so it delayed completion. When I picked up the project again, I started off moving swiftly making 4 at a time...but then I kept making mistakes!!!!!!!! I think the end result is ok...if no one takes the magnifying glass to them!!! I had hoped to make a few more changes to this project but I am just not happy with my ability to make a good distress look yet. I see wonderful cards with torn and curling edges but mine don't turn out so the only change I made to the next 4 was to add more text so that the font was smaller on the BG.
Your cards are lovely, Angie! I'm sure the girls here can give you tons of tips on the distressing.
Tearing... depending on the look you want determines whether you tear towards or away from your. To curl the torn edge a bit, lightly mist it with a spritz bottle and roll it into a curled edge with the pad of your finger tip. That part takes some practice til you determine your personal pressure.
Everyone has been doing so well with this challenge! I started late this month...the frenzy for 2011 holidays followed by January burst left me tired of Christmas and ready to do other stuff, and I threw myself into Valentines cards. I still kind of had to make myself think about a Christmas card but I'm glad I did because I am pretty pleased with what I came up with:
I started to make 8 of this to finish for the month but only had the steam for four, so I will tackle another card sometime this week! Glad there is an extra day in February this year!

Thank you all!
I did decide to change designs after these (I did these for March too - already). Enough of the glitter snowflakes. I love that I have 48 Christmas cards now for next year. Usually I shoot for 70 just for "official family and friends" around the country. That doesn't include my stamping buddies, though. So I'd like an extra 20 or so. I'm so happy for this challenge, that I'll actually have enough cards this coming Christmas!

Ok. I feel so behind right now. February started out so busy for me. I also decorate cakes and I had 2 to do at the beginning of the month. My daughter's 12th birthday was this past weekend so that was a busy weekend. Now I have free time on my calendar, I am going to sit down and get my 10 cards done for this month. Will post them as soon as I am done.
