Hi, 2011 was so fun (my first) to have enough cards by Thanksgiving to complete the list early. (I just mailed them all today.) Please sign me up for 4 cards per month for 2012. Thanks so much.
Adding you to my list, Badger! Welcome back and congrats on posting your January 2012 cards!
I want to get my Christmas projects finished so I can start on my cards!!! I have all my 2011 cards done and can't wait to start on next year's.
That's great, Angie! It did feel good to have them done this year, even with falling off the wagon part way through, I still had enough. Still trying to figure out why I thought I needed 110 cards! LOL I guess because I do everything in sets of 10 or 12.
This year I"m doing them differently. My goal will be 10-12. Each month I'll focus on a different 'demographic' of recipients. If I know they'll be 'tossed', those cards won't have as much detail or embellishments. But for my art/ card friends who appreciate that, those I'll play with more. So one month it might be FAMILY cards, the next month MISSOURI STAMP GROUP cards.

I like your idea! Sound like a plan to me!

I'll see if I can find my post over in the 2011 thread where I posted a pic of my card box. That's how I have the categories broken down in the box, rather than by month.
I don't think I've signed up for the CCC challenge for next year, but I do want to do it. My girlfriend (who doesn't post on SCS) does it with me and I get one of her cards and she gets one of mine. She was excellent this year and able to complete all the months.
I would like to sign up to make 8 Christmas cards each month in 2012.
Thank you, Vikkijo, for all you do to make us stay on task. You're the best!

I've added you to the list, Susie. Welcome back! Is your girlfriend joining us again this year, too?
HERE is the post over in the 2011 CCC thread where I described my technique last year, along with a thumbnail of my card box.
I didn't quite get to just 'pick up the box and go' but it was far better than the previous year.
I like the idea of the box....
So let's see.....I'm off from work from the 21st through to the 2nd....I already have a box that will work....so I just need to make some dividers...(my address book is in a database so I can do the listing rather quickly)...I'll want to 'alter' the box....so WHEN (notice I'm being positive) the box is done...I'm going to 'pay' myself $20 for it on the Stamp to Spend 2012 Challenge!!!!!

Oooh, I like these ideas. So much classier than my shoebox, lol!
I'll try to get better pics of the box next week. Right now my blog is all about decorating Grandma's House (mine) for Christmas. I posted pics of my bathroom this morning (Wed.) Thursday I'll be posting pics of my kitchen. Yep, I'm one of THOSE people, as I'll explain in Thursday's post. hehe
I love your pretty card box ScrappinCEO very flash.
I have all my card details on an access database with names and addresses but I also have kids, pets, birthdays, what card I sent, gift that I gave and received etc.
I go through it each January or February and strike out anyone who has not send me a card so they go on the 'stand by list' anyone who has not send me a card for two years is removed.
It's handy when I start my Christmas shopping to see what I've given in the past so I don't double up.
I was just wondering do we have any 'rules' on the types of cards we can submit? I just thought I'd ask before I started uploading cards as I don't want to be disqualified.
I've run out of time this year, but if anyone would like to exchange Christmas cards for next year I'm happy to swap (might have to up the 4 a month goal though!)
Brain is not working today, we had our work Christmas party last night and besides the amount of wine/cockails I drank, I do not function well on 4 hours of sleep
Soooo, I have been scrambling the last couple of days to get all my cards made for this year. And I don't like it. So I think I need to join this challenge. My goal is to make 5 cards per month. So please sign me up for this. Hopefully this will keep me on track!

Great organization!
I have a hard copy similar, though it's not used as much since it's just the two of us as it used to be when keeping track of daughter, daycare families, etc.

Ah Deb... 'bet it was fun while it lasted though huh?
No rules. You can make any type of card you want. Fancy, plain, postcard, gift card, gift tags, etc. Whatever you need to make your Christmas 2012 less hectic when it comes to those kind of things.

Hey Shelley, welcome to the group! I've added you to my list.
The key thing to being successful at this challenge is to regularly check in with the thread. Seeing other artists' cards is true motivation to get that cutter sliding through the CS.
Thanks. I've been perusing this years cards and you ladies make gorgeous cards. I'm probably going to copy a lot of them as I am not very creative! I look forward to learning how to upload some cards and getting and giving encouragement!
I'm having a blast over at VSN. The first 2 cards I did, I used as prototypes and cut the CS and image mats for an additional 9 of each. By the end of this weekend I should have a good chunk of my 2012 cards done.
I would like to join again for 2012. I didn't get all my cards done for 2011 but I had many left over to use for my cards. But I get so motivated to do some stamping. I need to find a challenge to get my Birthday cards done also. Is there one?? I would like to make 6 cards. Kathy

I need a birthday card challenge, too. I ended up with more Christmas cards than I needed. I like having those extras around just in case.
We had someone on the list earlier, looking at having a All Occasion kind of challenge. I'll see if I can find out who it was. If she isn't planning to do it, than I will
Keep in mind: It won't be as intensive as the CCC or S2S Loop. I can only do so much and still get my books written LOL

Welcome back, Kathy! I've added you to the list. We are almost to 100 people! Keep your eye on this loop for news of the All Occasion challenge thread.
My goal for the New Year is to set aside so 'ME' time so I can stamp and scrap again. I am going to try for 10
Great goal! "ME" time is uber important to be a happy person. You can't be everything to everyone unless you take care of you first. Just my thinking, anyway.
Okay, ladies. I've added the new names to my list. I'm putting up a Christmas tree today and working on more of the VSN challenges from yesterday. I will check back in at lunch time and research the possibility of having an All Occasion thread.

Kelly, don't over-extend yourself just for us. But, that challenge would be great.

Thanks for thinking of me, Debbie.
I figure it will help keep me on track as well. I used to send cards/ letters out every month. I've really laxed over the last couple of years and feel bad I've not kept up when someone sends me a card. So that is one of my Goals for the new year.
All I ask is ya'll keep the list chatty so we don't get lost Show off your cards, let us know when you've done your cards, etc.
I'm doing some checking. Hope to have either a link to someone's thread or our own by end of the week.

CASing is perfectly acceptable. Another great source for inspiration is if you have any of the stamp/ scrap/ card magazines to pull ideas from. Or the various stamp company catalog/ idea books. Maybe you'll change the stamp used, or the placement of a mat... but the inspiration is there.
I have a post on my blog called Magazine Monday. In 2011 I pledged not to buy any more magazines until I'd actually started making some of the items I bought existing magazines for. So I find one for inspiration and it is my Monday blog post (most of the time)
Another great place for inspiration are the daily challenges here on SCS. You'll find a list of challenges (on specific days of the week) on the right hand margin of the home page.
So start cruising the gallery, marking your favorites and can't wait to see what you do!

Kelly, I will be glad to help out any way I can. I won't be around much the first 3 months of next year, or I would offer to host or co-host. BUT I can definitely pop in and help with the chatty part!
