I am so far behind in my cards. I have been fighting shingles & Bell's Palsy since Valentine's Day & have not felt very well. Hopefully I will be able to make progress in April.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that! I've had Bells Palsy before but not Shingles - but hear they are very painful. I will pray that you heal soon ... Bless your heart. Once you feel better, I look forward to seeing your cards. Precious Kitty (Jan).

Not a good way to start the year. Hope you're feeling much better.

Happy Easter, everyone!

Just posted my March cards. Have a plan for April. Staying with mostly CAS, since we don't know where postage prices will end up by Christmas.

Hi Imogene;

Not to sound stupid or anything, but I am new here and was wondering what CAS stood for. Thanks in advance -- Precious Kitty (Jan)

CAS stands for clean and simple. It's a style of card and there is a weekly challenge where you can see many great cards made in this style.

You can check it out here.

Hi all! Sorry I'm not keeping up with this thread but life is busy. Over the weekend I went through my huge binders of sample cards that I've made over time and those that I've received and want to keep. I made 2 piles of the cards that I made - ones that I'm keeping for my stash and those that I'm going to find a home for. So happens that I had a bunch of Christmas cards in there that I've made in the past. Decided to keep those. I'm going to put them in my stash for this Christmas which brings me up to July. I'll have to check my gallery and see if I've posted any of them before. If not, I'll get them uploaded to my gallery and put in the proper month.

Welcome Barbara! Just let Vikki Jo know (you can do that right here) how many cards per month you want to commit for and start creating. You don't have to go all the way back to January, just start with this month. Come November, you will be so happy to have enough cards so that you don't have to hustle at the last minute.

I am so sorry to be so neglectful lately! Please do not take this post as complaining.. its just an explanation of my absence

I have been trying to deal with this pain, thinking I need to just get over it! Well I had a second MRI and a talk with work comp. I find out the doc that cut me open in January decided not to repair the tear, it was small enough it should heal itself!

So I am cranky over pain and now that. trying hard to be a cheerleader!

I am doing electro therapy now but about mid day I am right back to miserable.

No worries, I am keeping up.. just not very motivational! LOL

The doctor didn't tell you he didn't repair the tear? It seems to me since he was already in there he should have repaired it. I'm no doctor, but something isn't right there. I'd be more than a little cranky in your situation. Take care.

So sorry for all your pain VikkiJo! Not to defend the surgeon or anthing, but usually a small tear will heal itself, with less after effects than a fix would have. However, since he did go in (was it a laparoscopy?) there may now be some adhesions, which will cause a fair amount of pain. On a positive note, the electro therapy should do the trick, but it takes time.

Nope he cut me open, stapled it shut.

He told Clint after the surgery he repaired the tear and removed a spur.
He told me a couple weeks later that he had repaired the tear so healing would take a bit

I had told him at each visit about the pain and he never mentioned that it could be that the tear wasn't repaired, his answer was always "well i did cut you open, it will hurt"

Yes I do know that it common for a tear to be left to heal on its own, but he lad me open already so i can't understand why he didn't.

I told him back in March that the pain was the same place as before the surgery and I asked if there could be something that was missed.
I told him I didn't think he made a mistake, but maybe missed something. He told me I may need to learn to live with the pain.

The electro therapy does give me abit of relief it's just so short lived! LOL

Spent today outside in the sunshine, it's so nice to not have clouds!

Arrow MARCH Winner

I still need an address for the March winner.

This is why VikkiJo and I asked in the beginning for your addresses. It's middle of April and I still have the March envelope on file.

December's winner never got shipped for the same reason. You guys work hard to complete your goal... we just want to reward you!

Sure hope all you midwesters are doing ok after Sat storms....It was a wild and rocky ride here. Am safe and sound, will just have lots of free firewood....heehee...after I cut down all of the neighbors trees that are now laying on my back fence. The tornado touched down about 1 mile from me and those folks are picking up their whole lives so I'm certainly not complaining. am very grateful. Hope you are all the same.

Sheri, I'm glad you're ok. My heart goes out to all those people who lost everything including loved ones. I sure don't miss those sirens. I'll take cold winters over tornado season any day. My DD still lives in Lincoln, NE, and they were lucky. A tornado touched down about 7 miles northeast of the city.

When I upload my Christmas card it should have CCC12 in keyword correct? Are there any rules like what has to be on each card. or can they be anything that relates to Christmas? ---- I also noticed that your info says you are a member of RAK -- can you tell me what that is? I am looking for a place to donate my extra cards that I do not use. And I am also seeing TFL a lot, what does that mean? Sorry to bombard you with so many questions - I am new and trying to figure everything out. Thanks so much! Jan
Hey Jan!
Welcome to CCC12. I'm Kelly - cohost. I've been MIA a bit spending time with my granddaughter.

I'll see if everyone else answered your questions before I respond. Just wanted to say hi and that I know where Bentonville is. Was just down there for supper about a month ago. Yeah.. I know... long drive from southcentral MO to NW arkansas for supper LOL. Sis works down there.

Susie Nelson was the March prize winner. If I've not heard from her by the end of the month, her envelope will go into the BIG prize drawing for all completed card folks at the end of the year. Merry Christmas!

Are you freakin' serious??? OMG...it sounds like it's time for a second opinion. Clearly that .... um, person.... hasn't ever had to "live" with pain, or he would be a lot more helpful.

I have a 3-day weekend coming up. I'm hoping to make lots of cards.

Hey girls! I'm in here to catch up tonight while I'm tweeting the voice. Nothing like some multi-tasking to make the house in the day stretch

If I had time, it would be a great day to make Christmas cards.....two inches of snow on the ground and it's still coming down! Very pretty, but my tulips don't care for it too much!

I've got the time but sitting here in shorts and teeshirts, temperature in the 70's doesn't inspire me to make Christmas cards.
