That folder is 12"?
Would it work on a Tri Shutter card?

My children are grown but we always go to my parents on Christmas Eve for a huge pot luck and the kids (ages 12 - 22) Still listen to our local radio station find out what part of the world Santa is in delivering presents. My husband usually finds one of our neighbors who still has young children and he takes a 2x4 and makes sleigh marks in the snow so that the parents can show the kids where santa landed when he delivered presents to their house

BTW... got your PM Vicki... How on earth could anyone replace you????

Our Christmas tradition has always been to go to Grandma's house on Christmas Eve. We would then go to church with her and open presents back at her house. My Mother always hoped the late night would have us sleep in a bit the next morning but it never worked!

Now my Granny is 91 years old and is in a nursing home but we still get together on Christmas Eve and go to church (she loves to show off the family!). Each holiday becomes more precious than the last and I hope we are making lots of wonderful memories for my son.

It's hard to have traditions anymore with grown children who are 1500 miles apart. I know that they are making their own traditions now, so that's always nice to see. These days I alternate years spending time with each of them. Last Christmas we were blessed to all be able to be together for maybe the last time with the DGC growing up and the first off to college. When I was growing up our tradition was to put the tree up on Christmas Eve. We did not start at Thanksgiving like so many do now (including me). It was decorated that night and stayed up till Twelfth Night. Back then they were all real trees so we didn't want them up too long.

Yes, Quikutz has several 12" folders. I have one or two. I looked at that one but didn't think I would make enough pages with it to make it worth buying. scootsv made beautiful cards with it. I hadn't thought to make cards with it when I was looking at it.

I did 9 of the first one and 1 of the last one.. for my monthly goal of 10.. yeah!!

Merry Christmas Ya'll! ~ Patriotic Texas Christmas card by airbornewife - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

SC348 Merry Christmas Ya'll! Texas themed Christmas card by airbornewife - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

the week I made all these cards was the week my oldest son was in the hospital.. I just noticed that I had left the CCC11 off in the keywords search.. I edited them both. My head was somewhere else that week.

Aaargh just realised my stash has run out! Haven't made Christmas cards for a LONG time. Apart from these:

DTGD Challenge #4 by LancasterLurker - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

of which I made 3. I think that brings me up to 5 for September, so I either need to do 3 in October or call it an extra for the end of this month!

All my stamping RL friends are talking about making their Christmas cards and what a nightmare it is. When I smugly tell them I've already made 37/44 it makes me feel super-organised! Will definitely do this challenge again next year, it's awesome! Thanks a lot for your great motivational messages too Vikki.

WOW Granny is 91! That's awesome, that she is still a part of the holidays
Funny about the sleeping in... I remember that too! My mother would always say, can't you kids stay in your room a bit longer!

We had a real tree for awhile, when I was about 8 my mother got a fake one the was white (or silver) and she had this really bizarre light that rotated behind it whit different colors (oh so 70's!)
I know what you mean about the miles apart!

Clint and I started out in a 24' Winnebago. We were hired hands for a woman whose farm burnt down.
We ended up buying this 15 acres from her.
But we weren't really a couple back than, but he let me get a 12" tree and it set on the little table. We still have it!
DD was in Montana and DS1 lived in Duluth with his father and DS2 stayed in town at that ladies house to go to school
No traditions at all really!

That's so cool about the sled tracks!

Ahhh shucks!

The house was decorated the day after Thanksgiving and all cleaned up New years Eve.
It was like clock work for my mother.
For Christmas I remember either going up North to Grama's for the day or she would go to the cities and stay with us for a week or so.
My mom's twin brother was never in MN during the Winter. Since they NEVER got along it was probably for the best! LOL
Every holiday was with Grama though.
After she passed in 2001 that all changed. My 4 siblings do nothing together!
It's funny how estranged family can become

Vikki I had to laugh about your 70's silver tree. My BIL grew up having one. When he and my sis got maried he asked his mom for it and they used it for the first 10 years they were married.
