I actually posted my first card ever too (maybe I should pay myself for posts). I did a OSW for the Christmas card challenge and OSW challenge, so it is my first challenges too. (SORRY! didn't know I was not supposed to upload on Sunday...)

There is a PDF at the very end of my very first post. It should help
I have my cards done (and even a few Valentine's Day cards)! I just have to figure out where I case'd them from, because case them I did! My goodness, looking at all the cards that have been posted, reading the forum...where do you all find the time to create these cards! LOL After I figure out where I got the inspiration from, I'll try to post pictures! It's a first for me!
I have completed my cards for January - now just need to get a picture and get it posted! This already has been a tough month for us - MIL was sick and in the hospital for a week, I think I'm arthritic, especially in the hands and feet (isn't that where RA hits?) and now another snow storm is supposed to hit later today! Aghhhhhh! All good reasons to get some creative work done! LOL
Waiting for the snow to hit sometime later this afternoon (most likely around rush hour)....hoping, hoping for a snow day tomorrow...would love to get the February birthday and Christmas cards done tomorrow!!!!

Have a great day!!!
The snow you're slated for today is scheduled to make its way up to Nova Scotia for tomorrow afternoon. It could be a big one with blizzard conditions if the winds are blowing the right way ... the forecasters here are calling for anywhere from 5-25 centimetres (2-10 inches I think is the conversion). Hopefully it comes late Wednesday and into Thursday morning in hopes of a snow day for us on that day. I'd love to stay home and make cards

We are getting snow right now and my son is thrilled; they called school off!

I make cards for Operation Write Home (OWH)
Snow is scheduled to arrive here around mid afternoon. Don't get me wrong, I love snow, but my son from Texas is driving up from Buffalo airport around that time and the lake effect snow there will be a greater amount than what we are getting. He hasn't driven in snow for many years, and he will be driving his father's old van, and I don't think it has snow tires.
Ina - hope your son makes it okay - let us know how he makes out....
I just mentioned to a co-worker that the older I get the more I hate snow! I do have to say though that it has really only been last winter and this winter that we have gotten a lot of snow. Usually we get around 2 inches of snow then it changes to rain/sleet and we're zipping around on ice for a few days. So this is a little different! Just a mess to get around in.....we know how to drive on the ice....we just can't drive in the snow!
I do hope you son makes it ok, we had such a worry with our son when the snow hit the uk as he was due to fly to spain for christmas and had lost(or had it stolen) his mobilephone so couldnt let us know where he was when the airport closed, he finally arrived five days late, our other son who was flying from san francisco to spain never arrived as BA cancelled their flights.
You never stop worrying about them do you?
will be thinking of you all
I put myself down for 6 to 10 cards a month. I've already posted 3 for January (post 126). Here are 3 more so I'm up to my minimum. Who knows - if it stays this cold out, I may just get 4 more done by the end of the month.
Vikki, I hope you don't mind if I post them in a couple of batches as I've done this month. Let me know if you'd rather I posted them all together at the same time.

Thanks ladies! My son is still on his way, but should arrive within the next 45 minutes. He had a 'comedy' of errors today. He landed before 2 p.m., but first of all, he had a hard time finding his dad's van, and secondly, it wouldn't start....the battery was totally dead. He finally got to a Walmart and bought a battery, and after spending a long time trying to install it, he was finally on his way at 7:30. He just called me at 10, to say he was getting on the 403 at Burlington, which is an hour away in good weather, so he should be a little after 11. It hasn't really snowed too much here.
Jan, so sorry your boys had all that trouble at Christmas time. It was a nightmare for travelers, wasn't it? I'm hoping my son will be able to get back at the end of the week, as New York is forecast to get another foot of snow tomorrow. My son will be flying back to New York and from there back to Austin.
I'm going to comment on everyone's cards tomorrow when I have the WiFi... Everything will move so much faster than on the dial-up hehe Keep them coming and I'll leave Love tomorrow.
