It's not super human speed.. more like preparing for the procrastination to set in! LOL
Just marking a spot so I can find my way back later to post a pic for March.
I plan to use OSW for this whole project... I bought paper from Archiver's and I already sat and cut all the pretty stuff up! Hopefully I remember whose design I am using when I get to each baggie! LOL
It's not super human speed - just have to make them all before the summer work starts. Then outside work comes first!
When it is below zero, it is a lot more fun making cards! I hope you like this months. They were very simple but the metallic look, REALLY SHINES!
Most of the cards I am making for the Christmas card challenge are to send to deployed military men and women to send home to their familes/loved ones. I like to make children's cards and figured that a Santa suit would fit the bill. Thanks for a wonderful challenge!
For March I changed my mind from doing a OSW.
I also only made 5, even though I started out to make only 4. I'll still have way more cards then I need come December!
I got the idea for the trees from Cindy (motherway). Oh wait, or is it Mothermark? Great now I am confused! Forgive me Cindy! I am a dork ya know!!

Those are adorable! I really like the addition of the embossing on the white layer of your card!
I have to get busy now because in the summertime I have to do all the harvesting of the fruits and veggies that my dh plants So far, my DD has been too little to really help. She's almost 4 and hasn't quite graduated from being the "bowl holder", if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I digress...here are my 10 cards for March!

Your cards are adorable and any child would love receiving one. I love your idea of making the Christmas cards each month for OWH.

It's a beautiful day here in Ohio - sunshine and no snow falling!!! YEAH!!
I completed my March cards - and this is way early for me, considering I just posted my Feb cards late last week!! I decided to make gift card holders and found a template in the tech. lover's challenge. These were easy and quick to make. I'll be doing some more of these, I think. Here's the link:
subbing so I can see what everyone has created while I work on mine. I made a Christmas card for VSN and I think I'm going to duplicate it for this month. My dh liked it and asked if I could make 400 of them for his business. yea, sure, for a fee!
I wanted to do another card for IC221 (inspiration challenge - to be inspired by a figure skater's costume) so did this Christmas card which is earmarked for a little girl who loves sparkle and fairies:
Location: Hoping to be hiding out in my crafting room!!!

You can use the extras that you made as gifts or send them to the Red Cross for their Holidays for Heros program. They send the Christmas cards to military members and their families. The info for 2010 will be posted in the fall. Just some ideas!

Don't forget everyone...Operation Write Home http://operationwritehome.org takes Christmas Cards all year long to make sure they have enough for our deployed soldiers. There are rules...the most important being the glitter rule...can't use this as it is far to dangerous to the soldiers...it lights up like a beacon on night scans. Check it out!

Last week the Crafty Secrets challenge was to use the blocking technique. I had such fun with that one that I decided to do my March Christmas Challenge cards with the same blocking. Now that the first one has it's layout, hopefully the other 4 shouldn't take 4 hours each!
