Ok, this is exactly what I need - every year I say I am going to start early in the year, and it usually falls to September and then I am in a mad rush to finish them all. I just made a list the other night of all the cards we received this past holiday so I could better ballpark what I would need for this year! I will be stamping like mad the next couple of weeks and I suppose it is never too early for Christmas! I am in!!!
Now, because I have never posted any photos on the site, a newbie and all to this, can someone tell me what exactly I need to do??????
Thanks!!
Dani- welcome to the challenge!!! It's easy. All you need to do is take a picture or scan your card. Open SCS and on the home page you'll see to the left Upload a Card (or it's also at the top of any gallery page). Click on that and it'll take you to a screen where you'll fill in all your card info. Chose a stamp set (or just select Member Gallery if it's not SU). Then on the next line you will browse to find the card you want to upload. Make sure to give it a file name that is unique using CCC09 and the month in it (duplicate file names will be deleted by SCS!) and click on the picture. Then fill in all the details of your card and click Upload Now (or whatever it says a the bottom of the screen). It's pretty simple and SCS is very user friendly!) After you've uploaded your card to your gallery, post a message in the appropriate month thread that you've complete that month's cards and I'll check you off. Clear as mud??
I thought I had posted earlier today but apparently not. I took inventory and decided I only need to do 5 cards per month to have enough for Christmas. I'm going to try to make a few extras each month to have some to send to the Red Cross for their Cards for Heroes program.

I hope I did it right - my first try and all - I have completed 12 Christmas cards for January! This is awesome and I am so excited to start on February's quota!

I am really frustrated. I finished my cards last night and am trying to post to my gallery and they are all showing up sideways. I've tried to edit them and the wording edits but not the card rotation. I been at it two hours and I give up. This is hurting my perfectionistic brain... Can anyone tell me what I've been doing wrong?

Hmm- usually when you rotate the image and click SAVE it's fine. Not sure what's happening....anyone else??

Are you trying to rotate the pictures in your photo program or on SCS? I'd try it on the photo program and then re-upload them to SCS.
Well, I just finished 9 Christmas Cards for January. I ran out of the dp I was using or I would have done 10 - LOL! I have never done a link before so I hope I did this right! Now I am off to look for ideas for Feb.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my efforts. Any and all comments or helpful tips are MOST welcome!!
Woo hoo! I decided to be a good little user-upper and used some of my leftovers from my 2008 Christmas card making to start off the 2009 Christmas cards - easy enough since everything was still sitting out in my craft room. Anyways, you can see my January cards in my gallery here Kanatanewf's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. They are all titled CCC09 - January.

Nice job! Congrats on getting your January cards finished already!
There are still a lot of participants who haven't posted their January cards, yet...me, being one! (Stamping is on my to-do list today since I'm off from work!) You have 13 days to get your cards finished and posted if you want to be included in the drawing for the January incentive prize!
This is my first upload and I have no idea what I am doing! I uploaded the card to the members gallery. I only made four of them since I actually only need about 25 Christmas cards for the year. I have been inspired by all the great cards already uploaded.

Here's my take on the Christmas card for this month. This was so much fun---especially knowing that I won't be stressed out at Christmas time. I did 10 of these.
I was starting to get a little worried that I wouldn't get these done and then whoosh there goes new year's resolution number 3!
Here's my Gold, Frankinsence and Myrrh card:
I hope I did it OK. This is my first time posting a picture. If I did anything wrong please let me know. I will be finished with Feb. card very soon. My daughter is giving me some great ideas.
Thanks
