Does anybody know if A*Muse has a clause like the "other" company that discourages (translated: forbids) demos to post information and/or links to OTHER companies on their blogs? I believe it is called an IDA?

Thanks in advance.

From what I can tell the only restriction is not using products from other direct sales craft companies. I'm brand new so I could be wrong. Maybe you should contact the company for clarification? This probably doesn't help much....

GOOD DECISION! I Love being a part of the new A Muse Studio!!!

it is not that you cannot use products from other companies..you cannot sell for any other direct sales papercraft company.

i did not see anything in the agreement about the IDA.

I signed up first thing yesterday..could not wait!

There is a clause in the agreement that prohibits a consultant from being a consultant for another HOME BASED paper crafting company.

I further inquired and an A Muse Studio consultant may not be a consultant for Stampin Up or TAC or CTMH.

However, we may use any products we want. We may not promote products from another home based consultant paper crafting company.

We may be on Design Teams for other companies, other than above. We may link to other products, link to other blogs that promote other products, etc.

I wanted to make sure that I could continue to use, talk about, and link to all the other companies that i love, and remain part of the internet stamping community. And the answer was yes.

Joan (or anyone with the knowledge!), is this also for the starter kit? I was all set to order, but I hate to give my credit card number without knowing what the total cost is!

Thank you all for your answers and responses.

So, if I make card on my blog and say, "I used Turning a New Leaf from <this company> and Close to Cocoa paper from <that company>" then I'd be okay?

Or is that considered "representing"?

Has anyone's kit shipped yet? I'm so anxious to get my hands on those new colors and to see what stamps are in the sampler sets.

you could use cosmo cricket or PTI paper but not SU, TAC, or CTMH as a consultant. HTH Ted.

Is the xxx quarterly retail or consultant price? Anyone know? I'm teetering on the edge of signing up BUT I'd like to know. I'm also curious as to what the initial shipping charge would be.

I just want to clarify, you can use whatever you want and post it on your blog. You can list ALL of the supplies you used, even if they're from another home-party seller. You can be on design teams. You can link to stores that don't sell through home parties. You can link to your friends blogs who are SU! demos. You just can't link to other home party webstores or be a demo for other home party stamp companies.

I just spoke to headquarters yesterday about all of these specifics.

Thanks so much for posting this information. I'm sure there will be lots of interest in this. One thing I might add...you can not be on a design team for another homebased craft company.

I'm more than a little disappointed that they went with Copic Originals instead of Copic Sketch. I prefer the brush tip as it makes my amateur colouring look so much better than it really is. Love my Tombows and was happy to see those in the catalog. The stamps are adorable, the cardstock gorgeous, and then there's all that beautiful ribbon...
Guess I'm one of those with tons of questions too - about minimums, about the full cost of the deluxe kit with shipping, about the consultant discount, about how the whole thing works.....

Tracey - I had a combination of Copics when I decided to change to all Originals. The tips are easy peasy to change out to the brush tip or super fine tip. With the originals the barrels are larger, hold more ink that the ciao's. I'll be happy to help you understand any questions you may have with regard to the Consultant information.

Joan B and krystie lee, thanks for the info about design teams. When SU came out with the IDA, I lost a couple of my design team members. I'm glad to hear A Muse Studio doesn't have the same restrictions.

Do any new consultants have a paper catalog in hand? I'm wondering how true the colors are compared to the website.

Also, isn't the site and lounge amazing! So well organized and beautiful and informative. Can you tell I'm excited!

I passed thru Seattle this weekend after a dr appt in Portland and picked up my catty's so they wouldn't have to ship them. I've sent a few out to A Muse friends who were hyperventilating!

I signed up as a demo but can't get into the gallery. Do I have to wait for a special sign in? I have my Amuse # but I'm dying to get in and see samples.

Trying to place my order .

PM me if you can help. Thanks. Sherri
