I'm not actually congested. I can breath fine. But it burns when I do. So then I breath thru my mouth and then my throat gets scratchy. then I sneeze (and pee a little) and the process repeats

Ha ha - honestly I've been rooting against them because she gets on FB and posts all through the games, and you'd think every ref in the country is biased against them, etc. etc. LOL

It's tiresome!
DH and I saw the Oregon band during the Rose Parade and after we discussed their uniforms (what's with the baseball caps?) they started playing that pop song "Dynamite". And I looked at DH and laughed and said a bit sarcastically, "Wow, our marching band can play that, too!" ha ha ha

(I have to concede that Oregon sounded better - then again, they're a much larger band.)

Their football team has had some pretty interesting uniforms this year, too.

We have friends who are very pro-UVa and anti-VA Tech and they come up with some doozy FB remarks, too. I just read them, chuckle and move on...

Yeah I'm a wuss too.

Apparently they can fix most everything these days even if there is a problem. I think there were more risks with the old radial keratotomy (sp?). Also for some people, they'll recommend the wavefront, which I suppose reduces risks even further. DD was told it wasn't necessary for her. (And it costs another $1,000.)

I also figured that I'd still need reading glasses or something, they haven't yet figured out how to fix everything. So ... at my age, why bother. DD will get at least 20 years of no glasses before she needs reading glasses and he said hopefully by then they'll have figured out how to fix that, too.

I'm in the same boat. I always used to buy from my friends whose kids had school fundraisers--the paper was always really lovely, heavy-weight paper. And they almost always had Haunkkah paper! Of course, I had more friends with kids than presents to wrap... I'm pretty sure I now have wrapping paper for the next 20 years or so.

(although oddly enough I'm almost out of Hanukkah paper... go figure).

Not a bad thing but I would love to use up the extra long rolls. I have a box of gift bags separated because they don't fit in the under-bed container with those stupid extra-long rolls.
I have this vision of your getting someone in the family a giraffe or something for Christmas next year, just so you can use it up. And then your having to talk the giraffe into standing still while you get the paper out from under the bed...

Not sure if that varies by state, but yup, we got a vintage tag for the 81 Fiat.

Sadly I surrendered custody of the Fiat, although I think the house probably works much better...

it KILLED me to turn in my original "birth of US child born abroad" birth certificate when I was adopted...

I now have one from Alabama that says born in Japan....

Book club was pretty good tonight. Only 4 of us; 2 ladies were missing. One of which I didn't mind that she was missing

I gave them their bookmarks with the Chinese zodiac charms. See my blog
