Interesting!

I don't post what I'm doing today on FB most of the time. I post it here.

Except in the case of motor vehicles... then (I believe) 25 years is considered antique.

Well ladies, I'm going to go to bed now. I know, not even midnight. Have to get up by 8 to get DD to her Lasik. I'm taking my book and mug - Starbucks is 2/10 of a mile from the office so I'll just walk down there after I get her settled in.

I'd love to take my Kindle but already had a book from the library. And I don't have my cover yet. So I'll be patient.

I really need to get rid of a lot of stuff. I have a huge bag of XL t-shirts to take to Goodwill. Today I recycled a bunch of boxes. I have a lot of plastic containers I've saved just in case, but am going to recycle them too. They're just lying about in piles.

I just have this urge to get rid of a lot of stuff.

Hey PH, I didn't see any of the game, DD had friends over watching Star Wars, but DH was watching upstairs. He said VT got robbed, he thought it was a touchdown, the commentators thought it was a touchdown, but after review, they took it away.

Sorry your guys lost in OT.

Had to go to the county courthouse complex this morning to get a certified copy of my divorce decree. Has to be submitted with the pension paperwork to prove no right of survivorship for my ex.

My gosh, tighter security than the airlines.

I was denied access (after standing 10 minutes in the X-ray queue) because:
I had my cell phone, and said phone has a camera. Not that I even know how to use the friggin' camera, but it is verboten because I guess you could record proceedings.

And my 3 inch mini flashlight that I keep in my coat pocket to find Shadows poop in the dark, was deemed a weapon.

So I had to take the offending items back to the car. Which was level 4 of the parking garage, a block away. Grrrrrrrrrr. And cold. Double Grrrrrrr.

Then I had to get back into the queue and start all over again.

Once I finally made it in and found the civil clerk's office, I was assigned number D119. Waited about 15 minutes to be called to counter 28.

The actual deed of getting a certified copy of the divorce decree only took 2-3 minutes once called. And an $18.50 fee.

Next they want a certified copy of my birth certificate. I only have 1 original copy, :"Birth of US Child Born Abroad" on 'onionskin' typing paper. And they won't return anything you send. It's not like I can get a copy of that from the county or the hospital.

So my option is copies of US Passport & Drivers License and have them notarized as true copies. I'll go that route. Need to do that today.

I felt they were robbed, too. The initial ruling on the field was a touchdown.

There were a few other calls during the game that penalized VT that DH and I both felt were wrong.

The Hokies didn't play superbly throughout the night, though. Their first scoring drive had one quite bass-ackward play that left us shaking our heads in disbelief.

And in a thumbs-down to ESPN, DH and I both would have preferred to see coverage of the marching bands at halftime rather than hear the commentators' predictions on the rest of the bowl games coming up.

Uh Oh

Well, better to be sick in January than December, I guess. You probably need some decent rest.

Yeah I could do with some rest LOL. I called in for work tonight. Oddly enough it was to a manager that I've never even met yet! He said he appreciated me not bringing it to work and calling in early enough to get some coverage. I worked at 6 tonight. he had had 3 people call in saying they were supposed to have already been at work and weren't coming. oops LOL

I'm hoping that since it came on so fast, I felt not horrible when I got up but wanted to crawl into bed by 9, that it will leave just as quickly.

Going to focus my energy on cleaning up the house today I suppose.

Sorry you're feeling yucky, V.

YDS stayed home from school today. His temperature was over 101 early this morning. It's come down to around 100 since then.

I think I finished filling out all the pension paperwork, Yippee!

Debating whether to run it to the post office now, or tomorrow.

I'm thinking tomorrow - that way it can sit overnight in case I forgot anything; and I can combine trips when I go to the indoor track to walk.

Yeah get used to that. One of my friends whose son is at Oregon, and in marching band, was really upset that they didn't show the band. Um, they never do any more. That wasn't even bowl season, just a normal Saturday but they wanted to cover all the other games.

I realize it's pretty much the norm, but I don't have to like it.

No offense to your friend's son, but we were not impressed with Oregon's uniforms...

I know, I don't particularly like it either.

Ha ha - honestly I've been rooting against them because she gets on FB and posts all through the games, and you'd think every ref in the country is biased against them, etc. etc. LOL

It's tiresome!

She's napping but fine. She could see across the little room we were in, right after the surgery! Blurry cos of watery eyes, but she was thrilled.

She can "get on her computer and watch movies on TV or whatever, tonight! She's to put the drops in every two hours today then four times a day tomorrow. Has a follow-up in the morning and can drive herself.

Oh good for you! I thought they had a 3-hour rule or something... DD has actually set her alarm early several times when she didn't feel good but wasn't sure.
