Actually, most of my daffodils have white blooms. When they bloom, that is.

So, the 1:30 pm weather update is that it's 40 now, the snow has melted itself off of our driveway, and the road in front of our house is looking pretty clear. Either there are a few small flakes falling, or the wind is blowing them off the roof.

Gotta love snow like this... enough to completely cover the ground and make everything look pretty, and then take care of removing itself.

Rainsong, did you get any?

I mean snow, of course. What Rainsong and her husband choose do to privately isn't my business.

I looked at a map. It is clear now. Like a long skinny triangle with SF at the top.

You got it. Didn't feel it at all, too small, too far away, and wasn't it at 5:30 a.m. here? Would have to be a big one to wake me up. lol

It keeps going from blue sky to dark storm clouds to gray and snowing to gray and sleeting to gray and slushing and back to blue sky here. Such a weird weather day!

The sun is out now, and the sky is mostly blue, with some big puffy clouds.

Our driveway is dry, and the road in front of our house looks mostly dry. The ground is still white, except for right by the front of the house along the edge of the flower and shrubbery borders. The snow has completely melted off the railing of the deck, but the deck floor is still completely covered since the house is shading it.

I ♥ it.

So V, what's to see up on 101 way north? Anything special I should look for? I'll go through the AAA book too.

Fort Bragg is a nice view. I'd say swing along the coast for a bit north of Santa Cruz and see Pigeon Point lighthouse. You could stop in Crescent city and see where the 1964 (?) tsunami hit land and see Paul and Babe the big blue ox. There's Avenue of the Giants.

You're thinking 1, not 101. We aren't going to drive up the coast, that would be way too slow. If we do 101, though, I've heard there are some interesting towns, and it does get to the coast way up north. Eureka, Humboldt Bay, and yes, Crescent City, etc.

I have seen Pigeon Point lighthouse, nice. I'll have to see if there are any more lighthouses further up.

Hey everybody. Went back to the doctor...my cornea is clear but the infection is everywhere else. I got numbing medication then they held my eye open and poured dye in it and checked it with a weird light. Then they put some really thick medication in it which was uncomfortable for a couple of hours. BUT it's finally starting to go down...still really blurry but it's not as swollen! I have vitamin E gel for the skin underneath so hopefully that will heal up. Geez!!

Morning!

Well, I still don't understand the passive activity loss limitation. I mean, I understand the concept, but not why the tax software chose to apply it to the estate return....

I have a phone interview at 4pm today!!!

With OfficeMax corporate, for an eCommerce Business Analyst. I had applied back in January and given up. They are within a 10 minute commute.

Wish me luck that I get invited for a real interview after the phone interview.

The kids are back at school today; they had a two-hour delay this morning. We're up to 43 right now but most of the ground is still white with yesterday's snow.

morning. Feeling all energized to clean house. OK not really but that's what I'm telling myself. I am tired of looking at all the little things that don't get done so I'm busting arse this mrning getting things filed, put away, laundry, dishes. I want flat areas cleared off and some sanity back into my life.

An admirable goal
