Hey!! My van is back!! It looks brand new. I had to pay $138 for something in the front that was damaged because it was old and rusty and they said it was probably going bad but the accident finished it off. They washed it and put that clear coat stuff on it and cleaned the inside and it looks brand new! I swear I might have kissed it I was so happy to see it. I am so relieved.
How is everybody in here? I never caught the vicious thing that was hanging out at home and Sister is finally starting to feel better. Took her to ER on Sunday and they gave her different meds. She can finally see and her eyeballs are white instead of fire engine red now...Hopefully we are done with sickness in the house!

Got up earlier than I have been (before 11, lol), caught up on Words with Friends, since I hadn't been on in two days. Trying to finish the third Reacher book so I can take it back Friday. Last time I couldn't renew it as it was on reserve, so I don't want to risk it. But I'm in the last 50 pages so I have a feeling it'll get done tonight. Once you get into the end game, it's hard to put down.

Gas is incredible. The cheapest place around is Costco and DD got gas there today. It was 4.17.9. ACK!!!
I'm seeing 4.35ish as the cheapest outside Costco. We don't have 85 octane here in CA like some states still do - or do they? So our cheapest is 87 octane.
So the GOP are probably happy gas is high but not happy the DOW is up.

Fingers are double-crossed for weigh-in tomorrow.
We're having fish for dinner, some brown rice, and broccoli for me. And probably some salad. And I picked up some fruit too, sliced apples and chunks of pineapple (not together!).

Did I tell you that I'm hosting a potluck dinner for my dog-park friends tonight? It'll be 6 of us. I'm making apricot glazed chicken over rice, and everyone else is bringing sides, salad, dessert, etc
So was cleaning like a banshee last night. This morning I need to prep the chicken. I hate that part.

Wrose, I just read an article citing his doctor--I think--who said Davy didn't have an ounce of fat on him, was a vegetarian and ran miles every morning. Doctor thought Davy was the last person to have a heart attack.

DH and I went for Chinese food tonight.
I was sleepy and dozed off between 4 and 5, slept through half of an old NCIS! I was reclining on the couch (it's a recliner couch) and all warm under a big ole San Jose Sharks blankie, and dozed off. Mmmm, it was nice.

Yes he said his doctor told him - I think about six months ago? - that he had the heart of a 25 year old.
A friend dragged me to a Davey Jones concert about 2 to 3 years ago.
He looked old and had a pretty big stomach. He was prancing around on stage but in between songs he told corny jokes, and I'm convinced that it was so he could catch his breath.
I was pretty depressed by the concert and wouldn't go to any other 70's stars concerts with her, till last fall she dragged me to a Neil Sedaka concert. It was good!!
Morning all
lots to do around here and no energy or desire to do it. I woke up today and had no idea what day it was LOL. I'm so tired lately I'm turning in to quite the moron.

Yeah my sister - the one that liked Davy best - went to a concert but it was maybe ten years ago? Said he looked old but she still loved him. I have no desire.
I saw Neil Diamond in Atlanta around 1980 and he was hitting most of the notes, if not holding them, and he's still touring. He was already old then but I still had tears in my eyes on occasion, he was so good.

What's up with everyone today?
I'm working on finishing up my St. Pat's cards. Almost there. I decided to use a certain ribbon I've had for a few years, so the card went from there. Ha ha
