So my New York sister is coming to visit over Christmas.

She snores really loud. I can hear her throughout the ENTIRE townhouse.

Well HA I don't feel like I've been too busy. I didn't start anything until 10

I really needed the bathroom clean tho since the kids had both been sick and I think we're through with that now. And I Lysoled all the door knobs in the house. I'm not one for anti bacterial stuff but I need to kill whatever got my kids so sick.

ok this was a fast break from the few dishes that needed hand cleaning before the baking starts. Wonder if I can read my book while I bake. Probably not a good idea huh?

LoL!

The day after my birthday was the day our youngest told us she was getting married and the wedding date was two months--TWO MONTHS--from that day.

I'm just recovering from exhaustion.

I had soft bananas here. So we have banana bread and we also have angel foodl cake because Mom thought it sounded good.

I also made a blender of smoothies with rotten banana, some oranges, a grapefruit, fat free plain yogurt, skim milk, and a tablespoon of sugar.

It was good. Is that healthy??

it's scary how much we all agree...

we're worried about you - and we love you. and it's so much easier being an outsider looking in. we know that.

but because we are outside looking in - we see a bigger picture....

hugs girl - i hope things work out soon.

i hate to say it - but don't hold your breath....

it'd be better to split things and let her prove you wrong.... than keep them the way you have them and have her prove you right and wipe you out

She just doesn't join in any kinds of discussions at all. We've talked about making a grocery list and just letting ME go and get everything at once instead of stopping every day but she still does it. Last week I was going to Walmart and she stopped too. She called me from there and I was like I'M at Walmart, why are you there. There were things she HAD to get. She got a package of socks for Girl even though I'd put those on her Christmas list, Hershey kisses, cereal bars (an exact duplicate of what I'd bought) some meds, etc etc.

I swear...yeah coal would be good but she doesn't have a stocking this year!

Sounds like a welcomed side effect.

Hugs, Carol. I think everyone has already given you some solid input. If you guys are sharing an account, I'd just make sure that she isn't spending *more* than her $600 per month. Its one thing for her to blow her money on junk, but its another for her to move into the territory of your hard earned money.

ETA: And my kids want to go see Tangled and I told them it wasn't in our budget right now and we'd have to wait until Christmas break. She can do the same thing, too. She could get the kids movie passes for Christmas and go then. I realize that it totally blows to not be able to do the things you want and at some point you just say "Meh, I'm so broke...what's one more thing" but there has to be a turning point. KWIM?

I'm thinking Carol has 14 guilt-free trips to the $1 drinks bar in her future. At two drinks per night!

(To make up for Tangled.)

DD saw Tangled and loved it. We didn't know that Chuck did the male lead voice. I watched a couple of trailers before I got it. LOL

My opinion, though you didn't ask for it and you can feel free to ignore...

You and mom go back to your acct as it used to be. Sister get her own acct and have her child support put into HER own acct. She writes you a check monthly for whatever amount you and mom decide. I'd vote for $300, which is still incredibly generous of you and Momma. She also needs to start herself an emergency fund, so she needs to put at least $25 per check into a savings acct. The rest of the money, she can spend how she sees fit. I bet she stops buying vitamins and candy REAL quick!

Today I put plastic over the broken front door and I was standing in a snow bank and underneath a boatload of icicles. Snow was melting off the roof and dripping on my. By the time I was done, my hair and face was as wet as if I'd just gotten out of the shower. I was fr-fr-fr-freeeeeezing!!
