Wendy, thanks for doing the legwork on the ovens, we may have to invest in one soon for the condo, it's really old and about on it's last leg. Although it is a drop in, so there are only a couple of those, the homeowners that have replaced them said you can do a standard oven, I just don't have a clue how to get someone there to do it. Everything is so expensive, because there aren't any appliance stores there. You have to go through a builder maybe? I don't know...anyway, the oven will be great for you!

Laurie, good deal getting the yuck done first, hope you have a great day at work!

Lori, praying for Kathy's last chemo visit to go really well!

Karen, great on the swim, how is work going for you lately?

Joyce, congrats on your win!

Laurie, I am right with you giggling about Wendy's DD.

Traci, I remember last year when you got MM (Cindy) the Wild West stamp set. It's hard to believe a year has gone by since that.

Oh, I finished my green sweater for DS1 during lunch today! I just need to weave in the ends, tack the collar together at the V and seam 6 stitches on each armpit.

Karen, that Wild Wild West stamp set...a whole bunch of stampers contributed to...and then Pat Smethers made an amazing western chest to put all the cards with the stamp set on the bottom...it was Pretty Exciting Stuff! I can't believe it's been that long either!!

OK, I got a new cutter for cardstock, I hope it helps...so off to try to stamp today!! Wendy, thanks for the blog comment! It means a lot coming from you! =)

I do like and use the rotisserie Tracy, althought he grill not so much. I prefer just to grill on the outdoor grill as much as possible. The George grill is very hard to clean because it doesn't come apart.

Thanks Joyce! Yep, I've never had a GF grill, but the girls had it and used it all the time. It's good for some things, I guess. We grill out too. Even me!

Hope everyone is having a good evening...

Good morning, Dorkies!

Joyce, I have a GF and it does come a part. It just depends on which one you get. I find that the meat is usually a lot drier in the GF since all the juices and fat drains off. I stopped using it.

I finished DS1's green sweater! Woo hoo!

The older boys each invited a friend for pizza and a movie for Friday night. They are very excited about that. Me too! that means they will leave me alone and I might be able to stamp!

Morning dorks.

Karen, yeah for the movie night. I hope the little one is good with you stamping. I'm sure he will want to be with the big boys.

You are right Karen, there were things we just didn't like in the George. I should just get rid of it already. No use keeping something you don't use.

Today is girls day in our house (OK, if you ask my hubs everyday is girls day!) but tomorrow is Ashlyn's birthday so today is our spa day. I'm so excited. 1:00 can't come soon enough! I have my book ready to go, just need to jump in the shower and shave, so they don't think I'm a total cave person.

Have a fabulous day, sending love and prayers your way. (ok, so I'm feeling emotional, by baby is 19)

Karen, have a great night, that should help to have friends over, too!
Joyce, I always get super sentimental at birthdays. The spa day sounds wonderful!! I've never done that...need to find a place here that is reasonable. Over the weekend we tried to find something at Steamboat, and the prices, even for a 1/2 hour massage, were crazy!! Happy birthday to Ashlyn!!

Lori must be sewing up a storm, or oganizing...hope it goes well Lori!

Have a good day, I'll check in later on.

Traci- You're welcome for the blog comments! You will probably have to pay for delivery and set-up for an oven unless your husband can set up for you. We went with the LG b/c it was a bit cheaper than the Kenmore. We also got a new fridge, which is a Kenmore. We got free delivery and it was stove was cheaper than Home Depot. ANd they should be delivered sometime on Monday. Yeah! I feel like a big girl! I am hoping DH can fix the washer this weekend. It sounds like a Mac truck at times.

Joyce- congrats on the win!

Laurie- Yes, DD always makes me laught! That is for sure!

PS- Thanks for the happy mail! It really made my day especially knowing all the stuff you have going on.

DS has his second drum lesson tonight with my BIL. Hope he does well again.

We have a roast in the crock pot for dinner and some fresh bread. I finally got the paddle yesterday so I had it going during the night. I had forgotten how loud it got so it woke DD up. Maybe tonight she'll feel better and have no loud noises to wake her up...

Hugs for all!

Just popping in. No GF grill, but all I eat is GF. LOL!

Happy Birthday Ashlynn.

Sorry, gals, that I am just skimming. I'm not ignoring anyone, I promise! Just so busy.

Just a tiny frustration here. Girls & I stayed up WAY late last night trying to get things done. I'd forgotten my parents were coming by to pick up something "between 10:30 & 11". So, I set my alarm for 10 knowing Dad would be livid if I slept late (as if it's his choice). Guess what? They came by at 9:30. Thankfully Natalie was up. I also knew they'd fuss about the house so planned to tell them this is craft fair stuff. I got an e-mail about how Natalie was up early & it's a good thing somebody got up on time. That the yard looked good thanks to Natalie, but the house was the worst ever. My priorities are messed up, he had to clean when he was in the Navy, they never taught me anything about cleaning, yada, yada. Yes, that's what I wanted to wake up to. I replied that I was up late getting ready for the craft fair, was up by the time they were supposed to come by, and the house is full of craft fair stuff. Sheesh! Anyway, I went back to bed after I realized they had been here. Now gotta catch up on life.

Hugs ladies!

I have slave labor at work. Not really. I'm paying them all in fried chicken, donuts & sweet rolls and serving soda to drink. Plus, they are mostly all under 5' tall and not old enough to fill out a W4 or anything.

y'all know I can't keep up right now, but I"m trying to get glimpses where I can. Laurie, it sounds like you are super busy. Hope you can relax on the weekends.

Karen, that sneak peek looks sweet! I'm still so tickled (ha, I typed ticked like you did that time! LOL!) that you are on a dt now!

Wendy, LOVE your blog post. Yes, I AM that mom. The moms I used to look at with indignation I now look at with the heart of one who understands. Then I wish I could slip them a prozac & cup of tea. : )

Busy household with these girls. I have to be organized to assign them tasks. For the record, I vacuumed the worst parts of the living room & folded the clothes. In case anyone is checking. (insert rolly eyes here).

Lori, I am relieved to hear that, I was checking!!
You made me laugh with the prozac and tea...I can't relate to that, never could, as our girls were pretty easy, well until high school hit! Then that wouldn't have touched it!!

Making meals to take to parents next week, my Dad will be going in for surgery on his knee and going on Monday to help out.

Hi gals!

Pretty exhausted, we drove to Michigan yesterday and then back again today, its over seven hours because of traffic around Chicago. Have two good choices at least, that's very encouraging.

Will pop back in maybe tomorrow night to see what's going on with all you Have to take my mom on her errands tomorrow so I'll be gone again most of the day.

Hi girls.

Quick boof here. Been busy with Church classes this week, tonight was teacher's meeting. Been under some spiritual attacks in the last few days and it is making things a bit rough for me right now. UGH. Hope tomorrow is quiet and productive. Have some last minute end of month crunch stuff to get done (really delayed this month due to some other problems that took priority at work) so it is not hanging over my head on Monday. Bank rec is driving me bonkers this time...grrrr.

Good morning, Dorkies!

Laurie and Lori, thanks for the compliment on the sneak peak. I like that card. It will be revealed tonight at PWCO.

I still read "tickled" as "ticked". It usually makes the sentence seem really mean!

PS, yay! on hopefully finding a house.

Grace, sorry to hear about the ickies in your life.

Thanks for all the heart warming compliments on my family pic and blog post! You ladies are the best!

PS- HOpe these new housing options pan out for you! Have fun running erronds with your mom. IT's raining here so I'm trying to consolidate my chores.

Grace- I hope these spiritual attacks stop soon for you! It's these times that we need to cling even tighter to Christ!

Karen- Your sneak peak card looks so cute- I bet the card is just fab!

We have small group at our house tonight. I'm making some roasted poblano corn chowder and some apple crisp.

Have a great day everyone!

HI!!! TGIF!!! Tomorrow is Boss's Day and Sunday is Brian's birthday, so I baked him cookies and gave him the golfing coaster Beth made for me. He was so surprised and happy! He didn't even know there was a Boss's Day!

Beth, HE LOVES THE COASTER! He thinks it's so cool that you can just stamp on a tile from the hardware store! How cool is that! He just doesn't get stamping, but he likes how it turns out.

We are hoping the day goes really well and really fast so we can go home at a reasonable hour and get back to life as usual. YEAH!

Morning girls!!

So glad you had a couple of really good possibilities with homes, Peggysue, that's an answer to prayer!

Wendy, your soup sounds wonderful! Are you making a big batch, how big is your group? Yay on stamping!

Holly, have a great day!

Karen, I imagine the blog thing was temporary, but I'll try to leave one and see what it does...thanks for the heads up!

Laurie, nice of you to do something so kind for your boss!

Made a fun Christmas order with Flourishes last night, I love their Christmas release! And pretty ribbon too!

Have the exterminator here today to exterminate bugs, who knew???!!!

And this afternoon, am going to one of my mentor mom girl's to babysit so she can make an appointment...a newborn!! It's been a long time for that...wish me well!

Hi ladies.

Thanks for the prayers, they certainly helped. I'm pretty sure it happened because I have been saying additional prayers for the youth group and RCIA class this year so an attack was made to try to get me to stop. I'm not gonna and this has made me more determined than before! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We have family coming over for a cookout to celebrate all the October family birthdays so will be busy.

Hugs to all!

Oh, Boy, has it been a busy week.

Doggie seems to be better. We did teh cottage cheese thing for a few days and I boiled up the hamburger and rice for today/tomorrow. I'm hoping that will be it. She seems to eat it all fine and is acting fine. Poops were a lot better today...so I think we are almost ack to normal.

We are heading to mom and dad's for tomorrow/Sunday. there is a fun thing for kids at the zoo up there so we are going up to do that..should be a nice weekend to be out and about.

Sam had a music concert at school on Wed, then I had my stamp club on Th and now it's Fri already.

PS, YeS! Y ou are amazing to send us all cards when things are so crazy for you right now. THANKS! I'm glad there arre a few possibilities in Mich!

Laurie, I'm so glad your boss liked the tile. HOw fun!!!

Speaking of bosses day...my principal is so fun. OUr school met these state standards and she dressed up like a hip-hop dude..bit shoes, boxers showing out the back of her britches that were yanked down a bit. She had on lots of bling and her hat turned sideways. She called a short staff meeting and came in and she had written up this rap song telling us of the news and all the passes, etc. Was hilarious. We were all cracking up. The kids who were already at school were peeking in the library windows wondering what in the heck was going on and watchign their principal act a fool! It was a riot. She had sundae's for everyone in the conference room...but we surprised her with flowers and $ and tons of food in the conference room for her and our school administrator. Was a really fun day in that respect.

Well, I'm falling asleep sitting here......

Up early so we'll be in and out.

That sounds like fun, Beth!!

Grace, so glad your day went better, too.

I am really tired tonight. Getting ready to leave on Sunday to Grand Junction, Colorado (where I lived as a teen-high school)...to help with my Dad's knee replacement surgery. Basically I will be checking him into the hospital first thing on Tuesday morning, (like 6:30, crazy!!) and then will be staying at their house alone. That is making me really sad right now...but I have to think of it as temporary. It is because Mom doesn't want me trying to lift her and do her caretaking, so she is opting for the care center (nursing home.) So I won't have any time with her before she checks in, unless I leave on Sunday, which am strongly considering. Life is just hard for them, that is all there is to it. But she has a great attitude, even though it was a tough transition the last time she was there for Dad's other knee...and I told her tonight what a great attitude she had! So I need to buck up and have a good one too...just sad.

Ah well, the drive will be pretty...
I will check in tomorrow.
