Laurie, that stinks. Something you can fix yourself or will you need to take it someplace. It's always worse if you have to be without your computer for a while. And I agree, those people need to spend half their time on good causes and the world would be a much better place.
Wendy, you need to start a blog a day with the funny stuff that happens in your house, you would have a cute book in the end.
Have a great day dorks, not much planned here Ash is going Kiaking today and it's stressing me a bit. And I woke up dreaming of Edward Cullen or Rob Pattinson, not sure which but we were having a heart to heart about someone being preggers and him not sure if it was his. I guess I was being a counselor But if he really needs someone to talk to I'm available!
If I can't figure something out with felt can I pay you to make one by the end of August?
Absolutely not. I will make it for free and I can probably do it this weekend.

Whoa, what a deal, Karen!! Those are super cute, love 'em!! I couldn't find Martha Stewart's felt ones last night on the internet.
DH woke up early to leave, so woke me up as well. Which wouldn't be a big deal, but I go to bed quite a bit later than he does. So enjoying the first cup of coffee for the day!!
Laurie, I wouldn't have a clue what to do with a virus, sure hope that it can be fixed and you can come and visit. I would be lost without you girls!
Peggysue, how are the assignments coming along? Was the talk with the realtor productive? You've been very quiet this week...
Joyce, I would be nervous about kayaking too. Erin (the youngest) took lessons with her Dad one year and that helps. Is she working over the summer?
DD started her new job in Denver yesterday, was almost afraid to say anything after what happened with her last one...but she said she loves it and put her office view of the mountains on FB. So, happy about that!!
Good Morning! Have to jump in the shower in a few minutes to get ready for my doctor appt. Someone asked if I was feeling better and I can't remember who...but I'm feeling fairly well. The vitamin-D therapy is helping I think, but my rotator cuff tear in my left upper arm is acting up...oh well. At this age, it's always going to be something, I think!
Laurie, hugs about the virus. Hope you have someone who can fix it FREE for you! Hugs again!
Gotta run...catch ya'll later!

Good ,morning! I've been quiet because its a case of too much to do and too little time. Today I really need to get hte older kids to take the younger one somewhere so I have some quiet to finish up an assignment. Then tomorow is take my mom shopping day and her othe rerrands, so I absolutely have to get the assignment done today.
We did our usual hours of cleaning and a half hour before the appointment the realty ofice called and said the folks had changed their mind because our yard is too small. It IS small, so I don't blame them, but that was a lot of cleaning . . . so far we have none scheduled or the weekend, so if we have no appointments, we're going to drop the price again. I believe the market has ****ed downward again. We'll see.
Will come back later to comment on more stuff after I get my writing done.
Traci, she does work all summer at an icecream shop. She keeps saying they will be fine and I kept saying keep the life jackets on and hooked stay close together in case anyone needs help. The good thing is they are goin gon a calm lake that usually has quite a few fishermen around. Glad you dd is enjoying the new job with a view. Yeah!
I was up early but that's oK, I have things to do today anyway.
Linda, glad you are feeling well.
PS, I just don't think there has been any recovery. Not to be a downer. But good luck on the adjusted price. I am really praying is sells soon for you. And good luck on the writing.

Laurie best of luck getting rid of the virus. I know that a lot of folks seem to have had trouble with their yahoo accounts lately and I had a spam bot attack my comcast address book so i changed my password.
Finished the first draft of the assignment, spent another hour working with oldest DD on her loan application. Youngest is bored out of her mind and wants me to take her to the Y, I haven't even made the bed yet and our suits are still in the dryer.
There is no one for her to play with, I have art projects and workbooks for school, etc., but that take very little time and the rest of the time she is bored, bored, bored. What a fine idea year round school would be.
Sorry for whining I'm just really crabby today. She has a new puzzle, a new coloring book, a new art project from Michael's and some finger puppets that Allison's fiance brought her and all she does is follow me around the house.
Laurie- stinky and double stinky stinks on the virus! hope you were able to get it fixed.
PS- hope you were able to get some progress made on your assignment and with family
Joyce- hope life settles down for you soon. I like your suggestions on the blog. I'll have to be more faithful about writing these things down.
Traci- is this the same DD? Did I miss that she has another job in Denver?
The locksmith was able to fix the lock after about 25 minutes. $60. At least it wasn't a hundred. The vanity is in the bathroom. The plumber needs to come and Dh is going to put the beadboard up tonight hopefully. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Tonight is book club. Tomorrow, I think we may hit the sprinkler part or toys r us. THe kids have some spending money. Then we have a b-day party for the youth pastor at the bowling alley tomorrow night. Should be fun.
Karen- Your drawer cards and set are fabulous! You did an awesome job. I'm on DH's computer so it would've signed him in instead of me. Yeah for you
DOes anybody have any suggestions on storing Lego's? They are attacking DH's room. I was thinking of storing them by color and keeping the directions in a separate box as well.

Bwahaha! Good luck with that! We just have bins that they all go in. As wonderful as legos go they are horrible to keep together and cleaned up.

Wendy, I'm sorry but that made me LOL too . . . you're very ambitious. We toss them in a red bin and call it good and when I get really annoyed after stepping on them a zillion times they go in a different bin that gets picked up by a really noisy truck every Monday.
Okay, we're off to the Y for a bit. Dinner will be a little late tonight, but we need to cool off after walking to the bank. The guy who put the check in the mail two weeks ago? It finally came. Color me happier.

I would be looking for summer day camps or VBS at local churches to take her to.

My net connection stinks too with this humidity! I just get the page loaded and lose connection so I just walk away! It is so frustrating.

Actually I think Max ate him for breakfast on Wednesday morning. He caught one while I was getting ready for work and took it in to show Clint in bed... I just left quickly! LOL
HA! HA! No, I'm getting ready for my parents & Phil's mom & her boyfriend to come over on Sunday. Maybe other family, too.
I can tell my niece I'm nesting for her! LOL! Funny, when we had Bethany we lived with my parents b/c we had come home from Africa & were planning to go back after raising funds, etc., but Phil didn't pass the flight evaluation. Anyway, we had just our bedroom that we could call our own & even there I actually did "nest" a couple of days before she came. I moved her cradle & some other things around. Isn't that weird how it happens? With Natalie, I was packing for us to move to San Antonio & she wasn't due til Dec. but came early, so I guess I was already "nesting" by packing & didn't have that same sensation.

Not sure if they still do this, but when I was subbing in classrooms about 15 years ago or more they had year round schools here. THey'd have something like 3 week breaks. I think in summer it might have been 6 weeks.

Well, hi, I didn't get too much done today and we are on the countdown before leaving...I used to be fanatical about the house being cleaned also, but this time it won't be. DH has left too early and I am sleep deprived.
PS, I liked the idea of year-round school, unless there are nearby playmates, it is kind of tough. Hope you got your stuff done...and don't worry, you don't whine as much as me anyways.
Wendy, yes, you must've missed it. DD was let go from her first job that she moved to Denver for, they said they didn't have the resources to train her...she was pretty upset...but the next day went to an interview and got the job the following week. Whew!! She is the Web Content Coordinator for the CPA organization in Denver.

Lori, I can tell you are giddy with excitement over this baby and all the activity surrounding it...what are all the family coming over for? Another celebration?
Wanted to share my dork moment today. DD told me she had just noticed around 4:30 pm that something was different about me. I totally, completely forgot to put make-up on before I left for work this morning!
Should be in our new place in about a week or so. Counting the days.

Oh, Traci I missed that she got a new job! Woo-hoo!
My niece has not a shy bone in her body. She went to a "Gaudy with grace" event at church for the ladies last night & won the contest. You just have to see her.

Sunday is Bethany's birthday. She'll be 14. So, my folks will be in SA for Emery's party on Saturday & again to our party on Sunday. THey only live about 30 min. away & Nils & Katie live fairly close to us, so not a bad drive either day for them.

Grace that is exciting! I missed any info about if your house sold or not.
Too funny on the make-up. I seldom wear it, but when I worked outside of this box, I mean home, I did.
She looks pretty good, and goofy, and a bit gaudy, but really pretty!!
She is pretty and goofy! Generally not so gaudy, but she can pull it off. She & her mom have similar personalities in many ways & not being shy is a trait they share. Though, her mom has never, in the 32 years or so I've known her, been a fashionista. Becky has ALWAYS (since she could choose her clothes to put on) been concerned about looks. This "get-up" is too funny, but so typical of her. She said on her blog when she got called up on stage she got stuck between the different tables trying to get there! LOL! She is HUGE right now. We Smiths tend to be short waisted. Her tummy is exactly what mine looked like at that point in pregnancy. However, she's better "endowed" than I am & mine never looked like hers do now (or when she's not preggers!). My SIL told me when B. started dating the rule was no guy could date her unless he could look her in the eye.
She posted several months ago that she thought baby toys looked tacky in the house. I think I told y'all about that. Well, Chris' aunt replied that she must be a Tacky Aunt. I got to meet her & we've been corresponding since. If she stamped, she'd fit right in here with us. We're going to be the Tacky Aunts together!
Now I need to get to bed. I need a shower but am too tired. Night!

Lori, we didn't sell our current place, haven't decided what we are going to do with it yet. Gonna wait til after the wedding to figure that one out, I think. Gotta get moved in and then having the bridal shower there about a week later.

Ended up with another furball last night. He's a really sweet little guy, he's the one that BIL adopted a while back that bit MIL, most likely because she didn't see him and stepped on him. My critters are NOT happy about it right now, but will adjust. Normal behavior when a new cat is introduced as they are very possessive creatures and don't like the routine changed.

Guess the Legos will have to just be in a perpetual state of clutter....I've warned DS several times about leaving them out. They will either get lost or eaten by his sister. sigh.
Traci- good news about your DD. Glad she was able to find something so quickly.
Grace congrats on the new place! I know this will give you great peace of mind getting out of your old neighborhood And yay for a new furball! You're right, it is an adjustment, but the cats will get used to it.
Traci, that is true that with DD paying her own bills for the first time it must have been an anxious time for her having to look for a new job. And to have that view out her window, wow, that's worth something too!
Okay, gotta scoot, my day to take my mom on her errands and shopping. Bye!
