Ann are you going to convention? There's no way it's in the plans for me, so I'm not even thinking about entering the contest!

Well, I managed to make one card. I am really tired tonight; I think it's because my neighbors kept me awake much of last night. They decided it would be fun to have a screaming fight at 2:30 a.m.! Ugh.
I did get half a dozen thank you cards and other RAKs signed and addressed and ready for the post office. Now I'm getting hungry! I might have to find some dinner soon.

So yes, I am very much looking forward to this new job and new venture in my life.

I should also tell you wonderful ladies I did ask my husband for a divorce and on November 13, 2007 we were formally divorced. Everything went very well, I was very surprised, and we actually get along better now than when were married and living together!!! Go figure!!!

Wow, Ann....good luck to you! MY Mom is a Nursing Supervisor in a Nursing home too, it is a hard job! Sometimes she misses dealing with her patients directly. I bring my kids over every once in a while, just to visit. The residents love to see babies and kids, even ones they don't know! Good luck with the new job and....hmmmm, what do you say to someone who just got divorced? Congratulations? Sorry? I don't know but I am glad you are happy!

I did an 8.5 x 11 as I do not scrapbook very much and this was a little easier. I will be uploading them onto my blog and gallery either tonight or tomorrow, but here is a peek at three of them.

What do think about my 8.5 x 11 page??
I LOVE them! I especially like the "rope" on the cowboy page (gonna have to case that idea!) and the "donuts" on the boat! Great job!

Sometimes I wish it wasn't our thing, hehe. Just kidding. I love the Super Bowl, I am just going crazy right now getting everything ready. We have been having a SB party for the past 10 plus years, it's fun. Right now I am supposed to be getting our SB Quiz done, but I decided to check in on you all first. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Morning ladies!
I managed to make three cards last night! Though I still have three Valentines to get done today. Fortunately, I have no plans! This is the first time in several years that I haven't had to work on SB Sunday. I don't really care about football, though I do enjoy watching the commercials. So my only plan for the day is stamping and later to make some a yummy Thai chicken recipe I've been craving. Have a great day everyone, and just for you, Denise, Go Giants!

OK, I haven't even started stamping yet. I spent the morning putting together a potential SU order. I'm trying to figure out my Swap card for StampMania in April. The supplies are going on this order. I really want to use Embrace Life and the Ginger Blossom DP, because those are my favorite things in the new catalog. But I'm not sure about having people try to color images when they're supposed to send only 10-15 minutes on each project.

I would avoid the coloring. I've seen people at swaps tuck the pieces into a baggie and move on to the next project, especially if they think they can color it at home. Also, at the last swap I attended, my versamark and pretty in pink pads were just ruined by new stampers who didn't quite know what they were doing . . . nothing against new stampers, just be prepared to have your materials in not quite the same shape when you leave as when you come . . .

I second this!!! I am part of a large stamping event a group of my sideline puts on every quarter, and newbies get excited, hurried and frustrated all at the same time!!!!

Hmmmm, I was going to throw my hat in the ring too, depending on the weekend they choose. Haven't been a hostess for a few VSN rounds and I miss it.

Thanks ladies! I know Denise and I would love to have you all as hostesses! We have a fun theme in mind, and if it's not giving too much away, I'd say we're looking at dates about two months out

And thanks for the swap advice, too. The last couple I've been to I've able to come up with some cute things that had minimal impact on my pads and markers, but I am stumped this time. I wanted to do a matchbook fold using the ginger blossom and Embrace Life, but you need 12x12 to do a full size matchbook, and SU isn't carrying any of the right colors in 12x12. So then I thought maybe I could do one using Berry Bliss and One of a Kind, and then I discover that One of a Kind is in some kind of back order because of a production issue. I just can't win! I guess I ought to look at what inks I have in ink spots and work from there ...

Two months out is much better than in March with Spring break and all . . . I like the month of April . . . May is dandy too!

My niece in SC is getting married in May . . . on a Tuesday night. DH told his mom already he doesn't see how either one of us could make it because either way he would have to take off of work and all the kids here have school. I would really like to go, but do not see how it can work.

I agree with April or May - March is kinda taken up with SAB workshops and our Michigan get together. Also I think that would be around the anniversary of the very first VSN that Emily and Kimberly did - I think.

Morning ladies! I have a headache this morning - I think because of three days of not very good sleep. I just want to stay home and watch paper crafting shows on QVC. That's not going to happen, though, so I guess I best get to work! Have a great day everyone!

Well I called the Drs. office today but they didn't have any openings even though I said I thought I had Bronchitis. So they recommended the Med stop and since I was feeling awful I asked ole grumpypants to drive me to it, knowing we would be there forever and it would be packed !
We were only there for 2 hours which wasn't bad considering I had a breathing treatment and a chest X-Ray. I have Pneumonia and will be off work for a few days and loaded up on meds. I am already coughing a little less so the breathing treatment helped some and I have an inhaler along with the Z-pack I started. The Dr said I should also take Musinex and I told her I already had been so she thought that was great considering how awful my lungs look in the X-ray. I think she said they are a mess !

Oh Joni, I'm glad you didn't wait for an opening at the doctor's office and went to a doc in the box. Sorry you have pneumonia. Feel better!

Oh, Joni ((((Hugs))))! I hope you feel better soon. That stinks. We need a Sweethearts Recovery ward for all the sickies around here, between Patty's surgery, Peggysue's procedure and now your pneumonia! Yikes!

{{{HUGS}}} Joni - now who's turn is it to get the "don't let anything happen to you" talk? Remember, we're supposed to be sleeping together in March, I need a bunk buddy

Wow, we had some major crazy weather here last night! Rain, thunder, lightening, power outages, the whole nine yards!!!

However, I did get my MI swaps done!!! Now I need to work on the shoebox swap, and demo parts!!!

Plus, I got FIVE, yes 5 calls yesterday for workshops or stamp camps between now and the end of March!!! I'm going to have to hire an assistant!

Joni <hugs>. I hope you are feeling better soon. Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. Chicken soup works wonders too. Too bad I live so far away, I would make you some.

Hi Ladies,

Things have been crazy around here too. Between the weather being so icky, I've been dealing with major sickies myself. June was over for the weekend and she was SO sick. Stephen (DH) caught it too, and he has been so sick for the past couple of days. Then, June's fever got high yesterday morning (we had a doctor appointment for her for around noon) and she started having seizures. She had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. They were worried about menningitis, but she seems to be OK. She tested positive for influenza (as has Stephen now), and she is starting to get a little bit better. They only kept her at the hospital for a couple of hours, so that is good. She is still really out of it, but she ate last night, which was a big step. Now if I could get Stephen to eat a little more. I am telling you, coming to work today was a blessing, just to not have to take care of anyone else right now. I feel bad, because I left DH home alone to take care of himself today, but I have to take off work tomorrow for court, and I just could not take today off too. My nerves are a little shot too.

Phew, thanks for letting me get all that off my chest.

(((((HUGS))))) Vicki! I hope you're carrying some lysol around with you, so you don't get it, too. And I'm glad June is going to be OK, that sounds so scary!

Morning ladies. Rough one here, too. My sister had to have her kitty put to sleep last night. He developed a kidney and liver infection and by the time it was caught, it was too late. That cat kept her going many times when she was struggling so I know this is going to be hard on her.
I am headed out soon to vote, then to work for the rest of a very long day, because of the election. I probably won't be home til 10:30 or so tonight.
Have a great day everyone, and please, try to get or stay well, all of you!
