LOL! Me too. I texted my DD in CA yesterday. She was looking for a "modest" dress for her youngest DD who is going to EFY (Especially For Youth) at BYU next week. It's so hard to find something that will at least go to her knees. There is a good website that sells really cute clothes and I texted her to tell her that if she found something that I would buy it and pay for the expedited shipping. Well, she called them and they said they couldn't get it to her by Friday even with the expedited shipping, so that didn't work, but it was good that we could text back and forth and try to take care of that.

Went out to lunch to Luby's with a GF here at work. Now I'm all full and would love a nap, but I guess that's not going to happen. LOL! Back to work.

Woo-Hoo! Got the boys' room done!!!!! and the hallway. I think I'm gonna do the bathrooms then head to Ali's room. A friend of hers invited her over for a sleepover, so it's a good night to get something accomplished in there.

Not real sure what we're doing for supper tonight. The boys are really pushing for a cereal night, and they really haven't had one in quite a while, so I may let them. I'm too worn out to cook anything, that's for sure. LOL

cereal sounds good to me, it's way too hot to eat anyway. WTG on all of the cleaning~ you're not putting your house up for sale are you no other reason to clean in this heat IMO, lol!!!

Oh good deal that Ali won't be around. I sure hope she's already got her valuables put away so she doesn't lose anything.

Nothing wrong with that. Let them have their cereal. Do they like fruit with it?

LOL! I'm with you Dody. I keep it swept, but hard cleaning I do right before company comes over. Although I really should dust this weekend.

Jaydin had a couple of pieces of smoked salmon, some yogurt, and chips. Nice, cool, somewhat healthy, and EZ! Way too hot to heat up the kitchen.

no...I can't get too excited to do much of anything with this heat! I am getting the other kitties taken care of. By the time I get them done....I'm pooped! So, I'm coming home....putting my clothes in the washer...and taking a cool shower. I'm clean now!!! Boy, working in this heat just wears me out! I checked to see what their AC was set on....it's 78*. It certainly doesn't feel like it!

:eeking in from around the corner:: Thanks Dody for the new link.

Sorry I've been MIA, just have had alot going on. Went on my scrappin retreat, was gone for 6 days, my dad's been pretty sick (helping out alot there),still volunteering in Joplin, passing out supplies to tornado victims and volunteers, then Bill came home and we went on a 4 day mini vacation down to Branson...then came home and then after Bill went back on the road, I left for a 1 1/2 wks up in Nebraska. Wheewwwww!!!! I'm exhaused. Just got home late Tuesday nite. AND before we went to Branson, we bought a new (2011) Truck!!! Boy, she's pretty and rides like a dream. We're pretty excited about the new truck.

Hope everyone is well and doing well. I can relate to the heat, it's was 105 here today. And it was REALLY hot up in Nebraska.

Lois, so good to hear from you. Wow! A new truck. What did you get? I can't believe that you're still having to help out the tornado victims, but I guess it takes a lot of time for some to get back on their feet. Hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel for them real soon. You sure have been doing some traveling around. Yeah for you. Who did you see in Branson? I'd love to go there some day.

Our weatherman said (night before last) that it was the 40th day in a row for TX to be over 100* Yuck! Feel for you guys. I'm soooo ready for fall.

Now... which corner of this place do I want before Dody gets her stuff all unpacked?

Come see me, Maggie. I'll take you down and wear you out hehe. Maybe that would be a good locale for our gathering.

Yes, help for the tornado victims is still needed. They are still cleaning debris away. For FEMA to pick up the biggest chunk of the cost, they're to have it all hauled away to one of 4 landfills by Aug. 6th (or right in there). The Governor is pushing for an extension til Aug. 30th because the work is slow going due to the heat. They've had record temps over 100* for the past 3 weeks. Making the relief effort that much more difficult. They did get one 'park' nearly completed to house 45 (?) FEMA trailers. Those will go to elderly and families with school age children. They're working on a second 'park'. Workers have worked literally round the clock to run water/ sewer/ power to the location in time for the trailers' arrival.

Getting the kits put together for my altered cd book class at the library in the morning. I'm having issues talking with 2 loose teeth. So this should be interesting.

Dinner for us was easy. Dinner at Apple Barrel because the kids were playing. We had a front table and they did some new stuff tonight so it was a really good evening.

I just might take you up on that some time Lois. That would be lots of fun and we could stamp in our "spare" time. LOL!

So much to be done for those people. It's so incredible to me to see all of the different natural disasters that continue to plague people around the world. I'm sure they'd like to get all the children settled before the start of the new school term so they know who's going to be in what school.

I got the rest of my August CC images colored tonight. Now to put them together. I printed off a couple of layouts last night and I'll figure out which one will work best with my image and paper. I haven't even picked the paper out yet.

Jack's project went well....well, the one that he was consulting on. So, they are on land again....celebrated tonight with a nice dinner. He'll have a meeting tomorrow...and then head home. He has had a full week!

Well....Sunny is bugging me that it is time to go to bed. I just turned the soaker hose off. There was a puddle in the driveway....saw a small frog playing in the water. Now, Sunny is chasing something under the table...guess I had better get off here..and found out what the excitement is.

Night...

Good morning Quackers. Off to work.

Glad that the office is cool anyway Karen. So sad that we're not going to get that rain this weekend from Don.

Morning!

Lois good to hear from you, I see you are keeping up with your name~ travelin...how about the scrapping?

Shell what closet are you cleaning out?

Krista, got all the cleaning out of your system yet? I may not clean again for months!!!! LOL!

Karen, what are you doing to keep cool? Sitting in the A/C is the only thing getting me thru this.

Maggie, I'm looking forward to seeing your Christmas cards! You have come a long way since we met.

Suzy, I hope you are still taking it easy. Backs are so tricky...just when you think it's better; nope! not so much!!!
