How'd your class go?
Class went well. I had adults from the library staff, a mother/daughter team and 3 other middle-grade girls. Which the last part surprised me. I figured it would be adults since it was part of adult summer reading month programs. Glad I had embellishments pre-made. Made things easier.

Hey, that would be fun! I'll let you know ahead of time. It just depends on what is happening during the week. When do you normally take lunch?

Hi there.

How is everyone here? I've spent the day cleaning my closet. Ugh. I can't believe how much stuff I had in there. Argh. I'm glad to have it cleaned out, but I'm still not sure what I'm doing with some of this stuff - I DO know that it's NOT going back in my closet, though!!

good for you, Shell.....that sort of thing is on my "to do" list. I guess it would have been a good project with the temps so hot outside. But, didn't sound like a fun thing I wanted to do.

I decided it would be more to play. I didn't get another card today after all. I wanted to get niece's card done. Okay...I guess I'll see about doing that later....like tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah, not exactly what I wanted to do, but I knew that I had some things in there that I needed for my new laptop. So, I had to find the stuff before the laptop gets here. That involved a full cleaning. It was SUCH a mess. Everything gets dumped in there. I have so much choir/church stuff .... along with keepsake items, school stuff, and .... well, crap. Yeah ... LOTS in that closet. I'm glad it's done, but I'm glad I don't have to do it again for a while, too!

Great job on the closet, Shell. Mine HAS to be done. But I'm going to hold off until first of Oct. when I start picking out my conference wardrobe. I'm hoping to pitch a lot.

I'll miss the ones on Friday night next month - well, will have to play catch up. Bob comes home the day before our anniversary. Blindcat is playing at a cafe in West Plains that friday night so we're going out to dinner and enjoy listening to him and Mamacat for a couple hours. Then I'll hopefully get to play all day Sat.

Popping on to say good night. I've been working on my cards. Picked a layout and some pp, but it needs something else - like ribbon only I don't really have the right color. I think I'll try coloring some white and see if that works. Off to bed now. Sweet dreams.

Good morning Quackers. Got a little more rain this morning. My sleep was rudely interrupted about 4:30 this morning by thunder and a little lightning along with some rain. Not complaining at all mind you. It keeps me from having to put the sprinklers on this morning.

Not much going on today. Need to do some cleaning/organizing here, hair cut and color at 10 and need to make a stop at H.L., the grocery store and Walmart after that. Then hopefully I can get those Christmas cards finished.

not much officially on the agenda today. I'll probably run into town and go to walmart and Hy-vee, and possibly meet up with Tammy to help her look at car seats. I think Keith and the boys are going to go the other direction to pick up a part for installing Mom's oven or dryer for her. He'd like to get those done while she's gone. Our old electric dryer is still hooked up and there is a built in wall oven there. But that isn't easy for her to use at her height with one arm. But hers haven't been done yet because they are gas. So that is his project.

Would you send some of that rain up here? We need it so badly. We are to be in the low 100's again today.

I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday.

Good morning, well almost afternoon. Hope ya'll have a great day.

Yesterday, I went and got my nails done along with a pedicure, then I stopped at HL for a couple of things. It's just too hot out to do anything.

The yard boy is suppose to be here sometime today to mow and weed. He was suppose to come yesterday, but didn't make it. A friend of ours is coming thru town and said he'd buy me lunch/dinner, so will wait for his call. I think he just wants to see the new truck...LOL

Off to get some cards ready to mail....first I have to make a few. TTYL stay cool!!

The house goes off of the market & i can relax. We'll still do improvements & such...I may even clean some...but I won't have to get the dogs out of the house & stage everything like a model home. For the next 7 months it will be MY home again

got a slow start to today. Bob and I went in for breakfast and I picked up some things I needed for organic garden spray. Apparently I have an over abundance of 'stink bugs'. They are a gray triangular shaped beetle that are eating EVERYTHING. They start with the leaves, work their way through the stems till they come to 'fruit' then eat it as they go buy. They've about destroyed part of my tomato plants, a cherry tree and 1 apple tree. Hoping I can convince these little munchers to move on to someone else's yard.

It was way too hot to work outside. So we're going to supper around 4 then I can come home and spray the bug stuff. I so wish it would cool down!

I wish I could. I'd be more than happy.

Too hot out here also. It's a chore just to walk from my car into a store for shopping.

Yes, and they do stink if you swat and kill them or step on them. Ewwwww. We have those down here, but not in such abundance. Sorry about your plants and trees.
