My mum was in that neck of the woods late last year (November-December). Loved it.
That market looks like a great place to set up some make and take classes, especially for mother's day gifts.
Thanks for popping by. The market wasn't great. I think I sold 4 cards all up, but did get about 10 different peoples names who where interested in holding SU parties... so fingers crossed one of those pans out then it pays for the stall fee.
Well Hi Karen (waves) I'm an SU person lol. It's nice to meet you I've been a long time customer (too long if you ask hubby ) but only signed up as a demo a few weeks ago. I no I wont retire on my earnings, but hope to keep supplying my hobby!!!
I haven't tried the SU clear stamps as yet, but do have a set that are calling out, so will let you know how they go. Just need to find some quiet time... having a 4 yr, a 2 yr and a 6mth will make it challenging lol.
Oh I admire you with three preschoolers...I would never have coped. Still don't to the most extent....I had four at one stage. You never get your brain back to fully functional. I have finally stopped making choochoo noises when I wheel a trolley through the supermarket - my eldest is 40 this year.
I will send you a PM as I would love to order a few things through you if you like - I am desperate for more blender pens...
I know what you mean about losing your mind after having children. I'm sure parts of it come out with each child lol. Thats one of the reasons why I joined SU, I get to have a little bit of "Chloe" time rather then being Mum all the time. Hubby and I moved to Australia 7 years ago from the UK and we have no family at all. so I never really get any time out. SU gives me a bit of a break... and pays for my craft fetish lol.
And OMG Karen about the blender pens. I had no idea what they were until they arrived in my starter kit. I googled them and watched a few videos and can't believe I have never seen them before. They are my new love. And of course if there is anything you want from SU just give me a shout, I would love to place an order for you. Did you know Sale-a-bration is on at the moment? Good time to get a few bits and pieces and hope to earn some freebies to.
Anyway, better go and get the oldest to preschool. Have my in-laws flying in today and have so much to get organised!!
the lady has videos of stuff from the recent CHA including a brilliant demo by Tim Holtz and his new markers. Its worth a look around the website as she has such good ideas. Loads and loads of videos....
Thank you for that Karen. It is always good to be directed to specific sites. At times it is a little overwhelming as there is so much information to look at.

Hello to the new non-lurkers! Nice to meet you, it's been ages since i posted last, got pages to catch up on.
Well my trip home to Toowoomba didn't happen, considering the weather up there, not a bad thing, so planning a trip up for the Easter school hols instead, which will mean over 2 wks instead of just one. So what did i do instead? Camped! We went down to Aire River on the Great Ocean Road and camped, it was wonderful! Got some great photos and need to plan some scrapbooking for the really good ones. We hiked and fished and explored, met some new friends and old workmates (from the late 90's!!) got pooed on by a koala while having breakfast, and generally had a good time.
I did a scrapbooking class and have nearly finished what i had to take home, only got 3 more pages to journal, it was a 20pg mini album, so i'm pleased with my effort, did my CCC12 Jan cards just yesterday (late, but done!!!!!!) and now trying to sort out what to do for my son's birthday party, need to do some invites then get the rest of it organised.
A question for anyone out there with a Scor-pal or similar tool, did you get the metric version or the imperial? I'm really thinking about this tool and wonder what your thoughts are.
Karen, if you keep posting those websites, i'm never going to get anything done!
Mrs-Chlo, good luck in the business venture
Maria, i love that Geelong outlet, got myself some vouchers to use there, and i'll be swinging by when i'm in town next week to kill my budget.
Hope everyone else is having a good month.
Theresa, did you get those cards made that you wanted to yet?
I have a set of Kaisercraft stamps called "Flourishes" and I really like them and have had no problem with them. I really do like SU stamps too because of the quality, but there isn't a lot of them that appeal to me. I love Upsy Daisy and Lovely as a Tree and I use a set that I think is called Sincere Salutations all the time. I borrowed a great stamp from a friend recently, it's a Stampendous stamp called Deco Lady, it was made of that grey rubber and stamped well. I'll put up a pic of it later.
Terri, I have a bookmarks bar full of them and I have about two dozen or so that I continuously check, and they are not even the ones in my RSS feed! Then I have all those Arabian horse feeds (if I was to do all breeds, I would never come up for air) and of course once you get started on Pinterest....
Well it was through Paperclipping.com that I found the video on Tim's new markers. Those left me totally breathless and I thought nothing would ever top that video in remarkable things; but alas when you follow some people on Twitter (what didn't I mention I was tweeting the apocalypse?) and Tim says Freaking awesome, you click into the link and well look at if for yourself:
Wow Great Ocean road sounds wonderful, it has to be one of my favorite spots - since last 2 visits that way with overseas visitors, have had a real proper good look around.
Hey is the koala poo suppose to be good luck.
The day I went to the Kaiser craft outlet - they had a class happening grrrrrrrrrr - if I had known earlier would have been worth going to its Wednesday and Saturday I think, they were making a marvelous card, way beyond anything I would make. So must remember if I'm ever down that way again.
Metric / Imperial I say i depends on what you were bought up on- i'm still a imperial girl, even though i sort of know how tall i am in metric. And a metre is little more than 3 feet something like that
cheers Maria

Hi y'all. I've had my mind focused on a lot of other things these past few days. Humidity has been extreme here and by the afternoon we've been having storms causing flash flooding. Thankfully I've avoided having to stand out in it when the rain hits, missing a drenching by mere minutes.
I've also been collecting all the reports I need for my specialist appt next Mon. And I secured a Mon afternoon appointment for a job interview.
I've also been putting more effort into my health and fitness. I found I wasn't able to wear over half my wardrobe comfortably, so I decided to take action. Can't say I've lost a lot of weight but I am feeling more energetic I've added cardio and half pushups into my exercise routine this week. By the end of the day though I'm ready for bed.
I did finish making a card but the heat must be getting to me 'cause it just don't look right to me. I made it for a LSS monthly competion. I'll still submit it since I don't have the inclination to remake a better version of it. My friend has issued me with a challenge to come up with a card design for a group of women of various skill levels to make.

great, hope it all goes well, keep us up to speed, please....
Got an early mark today, and since it is pay day I swung by the second hand shop to see if they still had the desk I was eyeing off. They did! We agreed on a price and I've got it into the craftroom by myself with out any hassles.
When I got home my parcel of vintage bobbins was waiting for me. I am going to wind some of my laces around them and display them in my sewing corner.
Karen, a little story for you. My job has it's very pleasant moments sometimes. Like yesterday, when I was high up on a steep mountain road in the back-of-nowhere. Not 300 m away from me, below where I was standing, a mob of about 8 mares and 4 foals where galloping and kicking and spinning, across the paddock and around the dam. Made me smile just to watch them.

Yeah it is good when you have a job with "moments". Horses always take my breath away - even my two oldies when the wind gets up their tails and they start teariing aaround.
Your vintage bobbins sound intriguing, and so glad you got your desk. Makes you feel special when you can nab something you really want like that. Happy for you...
So far this evening I've got a few things prepared, but nothing done. I feel like I've got a hundred things on my 'to do' list and I'm finding ways to avoid doing any of them.
I went to the Dr again this arvo to get the reports I need for Monday. While I was there we got results from another routine test. Nothing alarming, but a little red flag none-the-less. Just another thing added to the list that needs to get sorted.
On a positive note, I'm very happy to have finally found a GP doctor who seems to be good to work with. So far, so good.

It can be niggling, but keep on with it...you will be glad in the end. It is lovely when you find a good dr. Have not had much luck in that respect myself.
Be keeping you in my thoughts.
I have been doing scrapbooking lately, but nothing is really finished. One photo I went to scrap has totally disappeared. but I found 10 photos from one lovely summer my kids had about thirty years ago and I am having such fun scrapping that...
I ended up going to bed with nothing done. I was achieving very little so I just left it for this morning.
I dropped by the SU! demos home yesterday and checked out the card we'll be making tomorrow for my workshop. Very nice. I picked out a card from her blog and chose a stamp set I already had (so we could have two of everything), and she came up with a new version of the card. Very clever girl. I think the ladies will love it.

Are you going to refurbish your desk Theresa or is it OK as is? I am going to get a scrapbook layout finished today, it's a double layout of one of my little girls 3rd birthdays. When that is done I only have two more double layouts for one of my grandsons and then I am up to date on the five birthday books I do! Don't ask about the school scrapbooks I do for them, have done nothing for 2011 yet and have had another one start school this year! Yikes.
Still I have enjoyed leaving the cards for awhile and getting back to some scrapping.

I have about 30 years of my own families to scrap, I also have some historical photos and documents (over 200) my sister gave me after she decided she wasn't going to be a Mormon afterall....no good wasting them...
For now my desk will stay as is. I'm considering the possibility of painting it white. I love that I can put my ScorPal and and small paper trimmer side by side in the shallow drawer. Perfectly accessable, yet out of the way.

I loved the Donna Downey photos of her storage. I don't have as many drawers but I do like the way she categorized all her supplies. Kellie's whole room was too overhwelming for me even thought it was all put away in drawers. It was just the sheer volume of stuff in those drawers I couldn't cope with.
I took myself off to Bunnings this arvo and got a melamine (?) laminated board cut down to size so I can add more shelves to my book shelf. I got five extra shelves and lugs for under $20. This week I should just about one section of my room completely done.
Anyways my son just surprized me with a drop in visit so I'm off to hang out with him for a bit.

Hi guys, hope everyone had a great weekend... at least it was dry on the Mid north coast... for once anyway.
Those drawers look amazing. I wish I had a bit more room to scrap, but I don't think you ever have enough lol. And you had a great buy Theresa, all that for $20. You'll have to post photos when it's done.
Well I had my first SU party on Sunday. It went for ages lol but everyone had a great time and loved the card I came up with. Even though I was so nervous I loved every minute of it. And I have three more all booked in so can't wait!!
Right better go. The boys both have bad tummys... poo nappies everywhere!!! Hope everyone has a good day!!!

Ohh sorry, your boys are not well, nothing worse...
Glad your first demo went well and you got some bookings...exciting times....
well done with your first workshop. all the best for the up coming bookings.
I got home late last night. It was a big day in the city. Dr appt went well. I know exactly what we're all doing now with regards to getting some surgery done. The receptionist was SO helpful. I told her boss he should give her a bonus this week for being exceptional at her job
Job interview went well. Told them I was looking at changing over after Easter, so we did all the paper work and inductions while I was there.
I left my computer mouse at mums place, and after five mins using the laptop mouse pad I'm going carzy. I was going to use my Wacom and digital pen instead to scrol around, but I can't fid my pen. Can I still use the wacom tablet like a giant laptop mouse pad, using my fingertips instead of the pen?

I got used to using my fingers on my little phone screen, so when I use my grandson's laptop the large mouse pad seems fabulous. My daughter got a tiny little mouse with a USB plug in so that the mouse works remotely and it is great fun.
My other phone died, and the shop didn't have a replacement phone. So I got a refund and went to the Telstra shop as we are with them for internet/house and got a new phone. It has a stylus. It has been a bit of an ordeal learning to use it (every one else in the family have NintendoDS's and are edept at using stylii) but it doesn't like my fat fingers ...
It does take better photos, so that's a big plus...
I've had a horrible week, this week is very bad for me emotionally so the diet has gone right out the window. Anyhow enough of my whining.
I did get my Riley stamps this week so intend to have a wonderful play with them but I was wondering if anyone knows of any Copic classes around Sydney? I want to have a play with them but would like to learn properly.
Lincraft was selling some Christmas stuff last week and I scored 4 gorgeous timber reindeer, not too sure what I'm going to do with them yet, behind on my February Christmas cards but that will be 4 of the 8 I need to do this month if I can decide what to do with them.
Hi Deb, hope the coming week is better for you. Most of the Scrapbooking stores here in Adelaide run Copic classes, so maybe if you ring around over there to SB stores you might find a class for Copics. I am slowly building up my collection and find I am loving them not just for colouring stamped images but for doing little embellishment things, like colouring a clear rhinestone etc.
Deb don't give up on yourself bacause of a rough week. Exercise, which I'm assuming you are doing with your diet, is a great way to destress. I suggest going for a walk and use that time to focus on something other than your problems. If nothing else you've given your mind a rest for a short while which you'll need to do when things are tough. Problems won't go away of course but often you can get them into perspective during a walk.
Have fun with your Rileys.

Tomorrow is the 15th anniversary of me being stabbed 18 times so yes I do think I'm allowed to feel a bit emotional about it. Also yet another valenties day alone, as I said a crappy horrible week, one I'd rather just avoid every year.
I have a design in my head for Hockey Riley, navy blue, orange and white. I just hope he turns out like I want him too.
In the post. Now you will have to be curious until about Monday, I think.
While I think about it, PM, is Private Mesage. If you click on my name (above the coffee cup), you will get an option to send a Private Message. That way, no one else will see what you send which is much safer.
