I am SO tired today. There was a cricket outside that kept me up until 1. It sounded like our alarm going off. I had finally had enough and was going to sleep in another room, but I realized that it was outside of bathroom window. I shut the bathroom doors, and I was able to fall asleep until 4. It was such a rough night. I look and feel pretty rough!

Ohhh man... it was a rough morning. I got up at 230am to get ready for work. It felt so strange. I feel alright, just kind of off. Fuzzy. I hope I wake up soon. If this lasts all day I'll be needing a nap.

It's not LOST, but nothing will ever be LOST, only LOST wannabe's. I miss LOST! I own the series but it's just hard to believe that there won't be new ones even though it was a decent ending. I wanted to know if Sayid ever clipped his nails....
LOL!!

I missed the first 10 minutes of the event, but at least I was able to set the dvr for the remaining 50 minutes. I'll try to watch it sometime this week.

You're in and out all in 1 drive to a casual destination.

I want to stand in both states!!!

I remember the pics you shared from that area.

Did anyone watch Hawaii 5-0 with Jin? Wasn't too excited about that show, but I actually liked it and think I will watch that too.

Darren watched Hawaii 5-0, but I never asked him what he thought about it. I caught a brief glimpse of it and it was strange hearing "jin" talk in perfect English!

I'm still disappointed that Heroes isn't coming back.

Morning LOSTies. I ended up going home at 3:30 yesterday, taking a nap for an hour and a half and then working from home until about 10. I watched The Event as a reward when I was done with work. I liked it, will keep watching. Seems like a good *** kind of show.

Lots of work to do again today, so unfortunately I can't really catch up on the thread. Please email me if there's something I need to know!! I can't wait for work to die down a little, though that won't be for another few weeks at least. I think it's going to be insane right up until I leave for Orlando.

I'll try to pop in when I can, but know that even if I'm not here, I love and miss you all!

I hope you all have a GREAT day!

I need to leave for my bible study class. We are doing Beth Moore's updated "Breaking Free" study.

I don't know when I'll be back on today. After the bible class, I have an appointment to get my excess facial hair ripped off my face and a facial.

We're going to check out Hawaii 5-0 too. It should have recorded last night too.

Now that I think about it, I think The Event is being repeated on Saturday night. I set it up for that day.

If you want something funny to watch, Big Bang Theory and Modern Family are hilarious!

What a nice bonding time! I loved Eragon! The movie sucked, the book was very good! The second book wasn't so great, but I'm hoping the third one makes up for it. I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback. Need to check on that, actually. It might be out by now.

I did this a couple of times last spring and, while spending a day in the kitchen sucked, not having to come home and cook every night was awesome! I really need to do this again. It's not hard, just takes some planning. With it just being the two of us, I can spend a Saturday morning preparing meals and get at least two weeks of meals done and in the freezer. If I only used my time wisely....

Mind boggling to think about being able to stand in two states at one time. Being able to drive in and out of two states in a casual drive isn't, really. When we lived in Leavenworth, KS you couldn't go east without leaving the state (it's RIGHT on the KS/Missouri state line) but you had to cross the Missouri river to do so. We were always going into MO to go shopping in Kansas City or even to buy gas (there was a gas station on the other side of the river and gas was usually cheaper over there). But that was 22 years ago and now it takes forever to get anywhere outside of TX!

What does she take for her reflux? I hope you don't get to the point that your mom is at. Y'all sound like my mom and me. Cutting the wheat out of my diet has helped tremendously, even though I'm not truly allergic to it. Gluten sensitivities account for a surprising number of stomach ailments. It may not have anything to do with what's going on with you and your mom, but it might be worth a shot. It's not easy to do, but it's made my life better.

Hey Tracy! I bet you do feel fuzzy! So y'all have internet out there, or are you back in the office now?

I need to leave for my bible study class. We are doing Beth Moore's updated "Breaking Free" study.

I don't know when I'll be back on today. After the bible class, I have an appointment to get my excess facial hair ripped off my face and a facial.
Have fun with that hair ripping! I must do this before Friday! Never fun, but necessary.

I hope you enjoy your Bible Study, too. Beth Moore studies are always challenging, but rewarding, too!

they found coverage so I could go back to my regular duty assignment at 6am. I was just in there for a couple hours so the afternoon shift person could go home. She worked a 20 hour shift. Bleh!

No internet or computers in there unless you bring a laptop. There are 20 big screen TV's lining the room. I think they had each one on a different channel. If something good came on they switch the volume to that one. Otherwise you could watch and read subtitles.

We pretty much talked to each other and watched Food Network. LOL...not many calls at that hour. And no callouts. They paged everyone and set up a schedule yesterday. Now it's just sitting and monitoring.

Chicken Pot Pie
Cranberry Chicken
Chicken Cilantro Enchiladas
Colorado Style Beef Enchiladas (made these once, not sure I'd make them again)
Honey Pork Chops (super easy and really good)

I had planned to make Shredded Salsa Beef and Buttermilk Herb Chicken Breasts, but I haven't tried them yet. These are all from my "Don't Panic - Dinner's in the Freezer" cookbook. I love it!

20 hour shift? Wow. Poor woman! I bet she was glad to go home!

I'm glad you're back in the office and can chat now.

Sounds like a great book. Are these other recipes in the LOSTie cookbook?
Do you roll the enchiladas and freeze in the tortillas? Do they come out okay?

The Cranberry Chicken is in the LOSTie cookbook. I happened to notice it one day when I was looking for something else.

The beef enchiladas are not true enchiladas, but more of a casserole. I had trouble with the chicken enchiladas staying rolled, but they froze okay and tasted fine. They just weren't "pretty".

I love this cookbook! It has appetizers, breads and muffins, soup, poultry, pork, beef, pasta, brunch items, and desserts. And unlike so many of the "make ahead" cookbooks I have looked into over the years, it doesn't use "cream of" soups and processed food goop in every recipe. I don't mind an occasion meal like that, but I don't want it seven days a week. KWIM?

Why have I never heard of this show?
I found it on Saturday and I'm recording it since so many of you seem to be watching and saying good things about it.
