Gotta go!

Allyson and I've been reading together. She's finishing up Eragon, and I'm reading a book that I can't think of the title.

We get comfy in my bed and "read" together for about 30-45 minutes several times a week. It's nice mom/daughter bonding time.

See you girls tomorrow!

OK. I am intrigued by The Event. Seems "busy" but they have to try and set the stage I guess. I wonder if numbers are involved again.

What did you all think?

It's not LOST, but nothing will ever be LOST, only LOST wannabe's. I miss LOST! I own the series but it's just hard to believe that there won't be new ones even though it was a decent ending. I wanted to know if Sayid ever clipped his nails....

Good morning!
Up and at 'em early (well, for me, anyway)

Showered and a list of things to do is made. HOping i don't spend all day catching up on the DVR!

Tom has my car b/c HOPEFULLY this is the last day of investigative work on why his check engine light is on and still not passing inspection.

I'm happy to be home today.
Also happy that one of my jobs is done.
Bathroom drain wasn't working well so I Drain-O'd it over night. No improvment. THat meant getting gloves and a pokey tool to see what the FLIP was down there.
*shudder* I won't share. Let's just say it was uber gross and it's gone!!!!

They've got our Emergency Operations Center activated. I am going in early to let the person staying over from afternoons go home. It's no fun, but at least it's not 2 or 3am. Right?

I have no idea what I will be doing at that hour or if there will even been internet access in that area. You may or may not hear from me tomorrow. I better find a new book. I finished mine this weekend.

Does anyone else read the Harper Connelly series by Charlaine Harris? (Sookie Stackhouse author).
Oh my gosh...you poor thing. YOu're there NOW.
I hope you have Internet to make your day go by faster.

Years ago I had a co-worker that spent the better part of Sunday cooking and putting things away to freeze for the upcoming week.
She had twin girls and worked full time. By the time she got home it was just too late to whip something "good" up.

Worked for her but the idea of spending a weekend day cooking has never appealed to me.

I was so itchy when I got home from work I scratched my legs and feet to pieces. I am coughing again and I don't think it is from the pleuricy. It could be stress, but I am not stressed now. I was a little in the beginning of the year worried about working with a new teacher (who as it turns out is so wonderful and she calls me every day to see how I am), getting licensure, having my mil visit, etc., but that all has already come and gone. I guess it could be after-the-fact and letting it all out now, I am not sure. I have talked to 5-6 people who have had these hives come and go for MONTHS and their Drs never found out what it was, so unfortunatley I am not very hopeful that they will ever find out what is causing this. All I know is I cannot take this for months and months, I will go insane!

ooooh, I am gonna have to buy some icecream now to go with the ones I am making at home. I hope the ones I take to work come out good. I already peeled and sliced and wrapped them because I won't have time to do all that in the morning. Tomorrow I will add the butter, sugar, cinnamon and mountain dew and bake it. I leave at 7:40 so that gives me EXACTLY 40 minutes to get it all done. And I have a 45 minute-hour drive so I hope they are still hot and yummy when I get there. Can't heat them up in the oven at the synagogue because the crescent rolls and mountain dew are not Kosher and they only allow stuff that is Kosher and baked in their kitchen to go in the ovens.
That doesn't sound all that hopeful. I hope whatever you have isn't the same as what those other docs couldn't diagnose!

Hope the dumplings travel well!!!

that is what my mom thinks I have. she has it. I always thought reflux was when you ate something and it came back up and you tasted the bile. Guess not in all cases.

Aly - I am so sorry to hear that you broke out again and and are feeling it come on again. You poor thing. Did they mention anything about it being stress related? I used to (and occasionally it still happens) but not to the extreme that you seem to be having. But I would break out in a red rash/hives on my neck when I was nervous/stressing...and it would itch like all get out. I would itch it so much I would have this raw dry patch on my neck.

So maybe Edie is right? Some extra rest/downtime in your plans if possible?
the didn't mention that , but I know what stress can do to your body and I wouldn't be surprised. I am not stressed now though, but I guess it could have been building and is released now that I am pretty calm and stress free.

hmmm, that is an idea. I have a pretty big pan though. Not sure it will fit in my ice chest.

You can stand in both states.

So many borders around here. RI/MA borders are very blurry over near where Tom's parents live.
You're in and out all in 1 drive to a casual destination.

You are right, there will never be another LOST, but it may be a good replacement for 24, LOST and Heroes. So many good shows have ended and there is so much CARP on tv. Nice to know there is a decent new show out there.

Did anyone watch Hawaii 5-0 with Jin? Wasn't too excited about that show, but I actually liked it and think I will watch that too.

the float is due on October 1st. He can use pictures, facts, brochures, post cards, maps, etc. He needs to know the state bird, flower and tree, one natural resource found there, and one or more type of landforms found in that state. He needs to put it all on a shoe box and make a float out of it or a walking billboard type thing that he can wear and walk in around in the parade.

Thanks for offering to get the stuff for him. You rock!

That is what happened to my mom. She was coughing for months and they put her on an inhaler (which my allergist gave me and it isn't helping) and her Dr said the inhaler made the coughing worse and that she has reflux and a hernia and may need surgery for it I am hoping that is not the case with me. I just seem to be following in my mom's footsteps with all the ailments we share in common. She has or has had it all and is always sick with something. I don't want that to be me

Thanks for offering to get the stuff for him. You rock!

Do you have a CT state quarter? It has the Charter Oak on it.

Go online and check the side effects of your meds.

One side effect I had wasn't even listed but I found a forum where LOTS of people had the same side effect. PITA!

I have to make lunch and dry my hair.
It was a chilly 44 when I got up this morning! No wet hair at the bus stop today!

After thinking about The Event I thought it seemed like a mix of LOST and The 4400. I never watched 24 or Heroes or Flash Forward so I can't compare those.

Wow! 4 am!

That is so sad about the fire.

I finished Breaking Dawn on Sunday. It's time for me to start a new book too

Another busy day of cleaning and getting stuff ready for our church's Ladies Retreat this Saturday.

Guess who's doing the craft (decorating wooden crosses that Mike is cutting out) and name tags and getting together a card making service project?????????

Does this person have hardly any of this done yet????????????

EECK!

Have a great day everyone!
