Default Shape up together with the WII Join IN

Did any of you get the wii to help you get healthier, skinnier, whatever your goal? I did and now I still sit on my rear not doing any exercises. I thought it might be a great idea to do this all together as a team. It doesn't matter what exercise program you have for the wii. If it is exercise let's do it together. I personally love the Just Dance games and the Zumba fitness game and the Michael Jackson experience is a riot. How it works (hopefully will have enough folk play).... We will be in teams of 6. Each team will need a score keeper. Each week come back here and tell us how many minutes of the wii exercise you completed for that week Your team captain will keep track of the minutes for the whole team. At the end of the 3 month period all the minutes will be calculated and the team with the most minutes will get a little prize from me (craft related) Come here to encourage each other. let's be each other's cheer leader Anyone with me Game starts March 1

I love your plan. i kow i need to use my wii a lot more. i should get the zumba one people are raving about it but u know i have not have it i just have wii fit plus. its tons of fun but i need to more more. so count me in

YEAH Cristen. My goal is to loose at least 2 jean sizes. I am a snug size 14 right now and I would like to be a 10/12 I am at the point where my shirts are too snug for me at an XL and I don't want to do plus size. Also I am going to Colorado in August with hiking and such I want to be able to enjoy myself instead of huffing and puffing.

I seem to have lost my edit thread button it may be because I am in safari right now instead of internet explorer but glad to have you Hope we get a few more but if not we can do it together

Right now i am in a 16 pants i would lvoe to be a 12 i only fit a size 12 for a very short time in high school. i have favored the 18/20 for too long.

so far on the new ww program i have lossed 11 or so lbs. i did gain last week and i was so ok with that.
i was huffing and puffing in CO lol and i was not hikeing jsut climbing a flight of stairs lol. but i am so dertimed to loose this time for good and to be smaller when i get prego. i can say i am 30 lbs lighter right now then when i got prego with my first. that makes me happy. only 45 or so more lbs to go to goal

Great to have you Susanna... Does anyone on this thread have the edit option in this thread? I can't seem to edit my original post. We really have 3 teams now everyone for themselves I am starting today. This week has been so busy with a shoebox swap and a bunco group last night. I would really like to get up early and do 2 times per day one in the am and one in the pm but getting up before work in time has never been a good idea when I am in bed.

Ok - I'm in! I've been doing WW since January 3rd....and have lost 32 pounds! I bought a Wii thinking it would be good exercise....and like you, I haven't been using it. Time to dust it off and use it! Count me in!!!

since dec 3 or so i have lossed 12 lbs im pretty happy with my self

I thought about getting on my wii last night.

would riding my indoor bike also count for min?

I was surfing around tonight and just found this..... I am so happy that you posted this.... I have the wii fit.... and it is collecting dust~ I really need to do this. DH does the wii yoga every morning~ he does soo good with it... already a year for him.... me... I did it for 1 month and quit. SOOOOOO..... maybe if I have a team to keep me on track... I can drop some weight. I would love to drop a pants size... I am in a 12 and wanting to get back down to a 10/11. I will post a link to my friends who are also trying to loose weight in the Flab Gab thread. We might find some more "loosers"

Good Morning , I have the wii fit plus.... I will start out with my yoga routine that I have saved on there.... then going to add the games to pump up my time. I am going to get the dust off it today and get going! I needed this for some motivation. My neice has the dance games~ (is that only for the play station?) Does wii fit have a dance or other programs for moving? I love to dance and could see doing well with a dance program.

hey Tami just a thought i think we should do 2 groups of 3 rather then 3 groups of 2 the reason what if someone slacka out or had an emergency come up that would leave it up to one persone to do all the work kwim. i also thin we should move this whole thread over to the swap threads so u can eddit it better

Yep - started Weight Watchers Jan 2, 2011. I bought the "at home" version. I have A LOT to lose.....put it this way - I've lost 32 pounds (as of last week) but you can't even tell. UGH! I'd just be happy to have a "2" infront of my weight number. And thrilled if it were a "1"! So far I've been lucky health-wise....but I know it's only a matter of time before this weight catches up with me. So it's either do something now or face the fact that I will never enjoy any retirement age because I'd be dead before then.

Ok, so as far as the Wii..... I don't have Wii Fit (because I am over the weight limit of the board - UGH!). What I do have is Wii Active (the original one - not the new one). Oh, here's a funny - when we first got the Wii and found the fitness test in Wii Sports we did it....I had to laugh cause my hubby's age was 70+ (and he's 49). But my laughing came to an end....when mine was 80+!!!!! (I'll be 43 in April).

My friend has the Zumba thing with her Xbox. I didn't know they made one for the Wii too. I'm gonna have to go shopping this weekend and see what I can find! I'll start this Wii journey on March 1st (or over the weekend).

I think this group is a great idea! Looking forward to hearing about how we're all having wonderful RESULTS!

I am soooo happy this afternoon! Tami~ I have you to thank already just because I made the first step and got busy on the wii. I did my 16 min. yoga routine and then added 14 more minutes on the training. Just a start.... but I am happy that I finally got started. I needed that kick in the rear.

Zella, I am very impressed with your motivation to get yourself in better health. YOu have already taken that first step.... and with all of us here.... I know you can keep going and take it off.... baby.... yes.... take it off! you can do it.

About the teams... I think 2 teams is a good idea too... unless we get more to sign up soon.

Oh, I did some searching this morning and looked up the Zumba for the wii... I forgot to see how much it was... I watched the little video on what it was~ it looked like an arobic work out with little skinny people dancing. Last time I did a video dance was to Richard Simons... sweatin to the oldies... hahahah... any of you that old? I am 48. I need to loose about 20 pounds. It all sits in my belly... I hate that. So working on eating better and now getting more exercise.

I like the two group also. Zella WTG The just dance game does not use the wii fit board you might give it a look. I find it very fun and if you were kickin it in the 80's you will like the music and there are different levels of dance.

Just some inspiration...

It is OK if you can not do alot at one time. I just did 10 minutes of zumba and am now resting as I just could not go on. In a bit I will do more. Don't think you have to do an hour or even 30 minutes at one time. Do what YOU CAN DO. This is the reason I like doing this at home. The gym the classes are 1 hour I can not do an hour and it is embarrasing to have to live before the class ends. New slogan JUST DO What you CAN

today my step father in law was putting breaks on my car so insted of sitting around in the office i took my daughter and we walked for 30 min then we went to mc donalds where i had a house salad and a yogart parfet with water. and one bit of my daughters cheese burger then we walked back when our car was done. Im very proud of that. i know for me i have a little time in the am and a little time in the pm to do it . so my goal is to do 15-20 min a day and ride my bike for 25 min

YEAH CRISTEN!!!!! Just completed my 20 minute zumba My muscles feel like jello but I am awake with energy.

Do you guys want to start a RAK list to send inspiration and cards to fellow wii fitters?

Hey Cristen... I see you are from Northern California..... where abouts? That is where we are headed in 2 weeks~ my sister lives in Napa Valley and my parents are up in Clearlake. I hope the weather warms up before we get there.

Yes, the RAK sounds like a great idea. I love sending cards and receiving cards. That would be a fun idea. I will send you my address if you are going to start a list. Then can you pm us the list so we can send out?

Good Morning Ladies~ whos is up and movin this morning..... I know I am a little sore in my arms this morning.... lastnight I decided to do my weights while watching tv..... I can feel it this morning, but I feel good today. I'm glad I'm movin'. Tami~ how do you feel after your zumba workout that you did lastnight..... this morning? I wonder if I could keep up with it? I think I would like it... because it is dancing.

Anyone else getting moving this morning?

I walked 4 miles this morning, in our incredibly small mall as it was snowing heavily outside!

Note to everyone, you can edit your post by going up to the number in the upper right corner of your own post, I am assuming mine will be #39 in this thread and clicking on it to open it up to edit it, that is unless they have changed things recently! This is an old trick some of "old SCS timers" have had to use in the past when we have posted and run, then noticed later a mispelling or bad grammar, etc.

Not sore today. Zumba doesn't make me sore or the just dance.

Alyssa my 12 year old has strep. Hoping it bypasses me.
