Default Scrapbook Swappers-Chat here!

I am starting this thread as a place for scrapbook swappers. A few of us have stopped swapping but still want to chat, so here is the place!

I am back. The trip was great. It was pretty cold there. It rained or snowed the whole time we were there. We saw most of the sites. The Eifell tower was closed, the towers of Notre Dame were closed, you get the picture. We did go to DLParis and guess what many rides were closed.

They don't clear the sidewalks in Paris. And shovelling was not existant at Disney.

Here is a link to the fb pictures, I hope it works

Great pictures! I am surprised Disney was open. I thought it would be closed with those kinds of temps and with snow.

Your trip sounds like mine, short. We has tomstaynat the airport and take the train into Paris. Which would have been fine except once in Paris the stations are not handicap accessible! Try exiting a train station with no elevators and a wheelchair!

So we walked from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower. It was getting dark by the time we got to the Eiffel Tower that we just took some pictures and found the nearest train and went back.

We didn't get to go into the 'Louvre or anything. If we didn't have tomstaynat the airport and I didn't have a wheelchair to push around, we probably could have done more.

Thom and I were commenting on the lack of HP accessiblity. There is a huge step just to get on and off the train, forget about getting to the train! Next time you go, there is a bus from the airport to Disney, so could maybe get that. The Louvre does have an elevator so if you can get there, you could push around. It is so crowded though. I am not sure how all the people do it with wheelchairs and carriages, esp. in the snow because they don't really shovel the sidewalks! We trudged through slush. Disney probably should have closed, but they have lots of people staying there so have a few rides open to keep them busy. It was only open 10-6. Also they don't usually get that much snow! It was supposed to open 10-8 but they decided to close early, I was relieved. I wanted to see the Dreams show but wasn't sure how I would make it til 8!

I guess because we have all those ADA laws, they probably don't. The airport station had an elevator and I think one station in Paris did. The next day we got off at the next stop right in from of Notre Dame. No elevator. It was horrible trying to get out of there!

DH wants to know which airline you took.

We flew Air France/Delta. It was fine. We had no choice in the matter, the tour company booked everything. You know I never changed my name, well the whole trip was in my name, except the hotel was in Thom's name! Very old fashioned! I agree about the metro. It was tough watching people with their carriages. I am not sure how you get around with a wheelchair. Then add the snow and you are really stuck!

I agree about the swaps, I am done. I can't commit to host SBPS. I really need to get my head above water.

That's funny the booked the hotel in his name! I wonder if women in Europe keep their maiden name or if it is frowned upon?

DH works for an airline some was curious. He liked your pictures!

So at Disneyland the caste is Sleeping Beauty, WDW it is Snow White, so Disney Paris ???

Sleeping Beauty--in good weather you can climb the stairs to walk through it-so of course it was closed. It really was pretty!

Air France has a non stop out of Boston so it is convenient. They partnered with Delta. The flight was fine and included food and drink

That's like Disneyland. You can walk through it and it has stairs going up with the little windows with scenes from Sleeping Beauty in them.

I put a bug in DH's ear. I said so,etching like gee it would probably be expensive to go to Disney Paris. Then he said, you'd be able to say you've been. Maybe he'll want to take the kids there! LOLOLOLOLOL

Last month he suggested the DD1 and I go to Germany next summer. I was surprised he suggested just the two of us take a trip and he stays home with the other two.

They don't have that many cartridges on the rewards anymore. Every time I check there is never anything good.

I broke the stylus for the gypsy over a year ago. I keep hoping they will have them on the rewards but they don't!

Whoo hoo! That's pretty good!

I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't sure if Nintendo DS styluses were any cheaper. I figured they at least sold them in singles.. The Cricut ones were always sold in 3's for some outrageous price.

Hey you only had to pay shipping for three carts with points you already had. How's that enabling?

I haven't bought carts in a while. Have you grid the Cricut Craft Room software? It's free. You can but digital versions of the carts for less and I think they sell individual images. Not sure if that is for every image or just certain images can be bought as singles.

I haven't tried it either. Good point about MTC. You don't have to download the SW you can do it online. Do you think it would mess up MTC if you use the online version?

I can't remember what MTC said to do so you can continue to use with your Cricut. I have a Gypsy and it gets updated and automatically updates the Cricut. I hope I can still use MTC!

Great idea a out going to 5 Below for a stylus. I'll do that. There is one close by. I might even have $5 GC

I haven't used it in a while. I just updated the gypsy after not updating it for over a year and it automatically updated my Expression. If it doesn't work then I won't hook the gypsy up to the original Cricut so I will at least have that one to use MTC with.

Hopefully it isn't a problem.
