Me too.

Worked on the dreaded packing. I've got everything out and somethings are even in the suitcase. I'll finish that all up tonight except for some essentials that I'll need in the morning.

Oh, you poor thing. That is just the worst. Do you still have tonsils? Sore throat is bad enough, but add ear pain to it, and really bad news. I sure hope that it is much better today.

That would probably be a good idea. I do that myself when it gets too bad. So far this year, I've been good.

I keep my house about like that also.

My boss headed your way last night (Atlanta). He has a mediation there this morning. Yippee! He'll be gone all day.

Acidolophilus. It's what is in some yogurts. Good bacteria that helps your tummy issues when you take antibiotics which kill all the bacterias in your intestines.

Sorry Suzy. Do you use tissues with Lotion? I have to when I have a cold or else my poor nose.

I don't think I told you that my boss and I exchanged gifts yesterday. I got a nice GC from Macy's. WOO HOO! Some good shopping after I get home.

Not sure if I mentioned the tea shop that I went to the other day for him. He likes tea and especially green tea. I bought him a canister of a green tea blend called Orchid. It smelled really good. Also got him a really nice spoon diffuser. He really liked it. I'm glad cause it was pretty pricey. Since he was in mediation all day yesterday, he didn't really have a chance to try it out.

Good morning Quackers.

I put a load of clothes in the washer last night and then the dryer first thing this morning. It's about done.

Good morning, Maggie.

Don't ask me what I've been doing up since 6 a.m. LOL I just popped awake and started moving. Bob will be home sometime today - probably around noon or so depending on what time he gets around this morning.

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend the holidays, although it does sound like an awful lot of work for you. But if your anything like me, you get enjoyment from the cooking and seeing everyone enjoy it. Just remember to let yourself breathe a little here and there and don't over due.

It's an artificial hehe It's survived 25 years... it should hold up for a couple more weeks. But then we're retiring it. It loses a couple more branches every year. I think next year, it will become the tree for the front deck.

We have a 9' I bought our 3rd to last Christmas in the IL house not realizing it was going to be too tall for this house LOL. Bob needs to cut off the bottom row of branches at least - maybe 2 for it to fit in here and accomodate my natural mother's angel.

I've pretty much hit a stand-still until Bob gets the tabletop cut and into place. I don't want to put the stuff in the file drawers until they're exactly where we need them. And I can't finish clearing off the office book case until those hanging file tub contents are moved to the file drawers because I want to store that stuff into them. Once the table top is in place, everything else should move pretty quickly. ::: crossing fingers ::::

Shell, I hope today finds you and Jonah both doing much better. It sounds like a couple days at home are just what you need. I know you want (need) to get things done, but sometimes just taking things a little slower is best in the long run. Easier said then done, I know.

We are warmer this morning already than we were all day yesterday!

I have a load in the dryer, a load put away, dishes soaking, more stuff taken down stairs, the oven preheating and on my second cup of coffee. With the temps above freezing, I shouldn't have to carry water out to the dogs this morning, just go give them food. Lady is waiting patiently to go out. I told her we weren't going out until it got daylight. We're almost there hehe She's asleep over here beside me. I don't think she's in a big hurry.

Time I got a serious start. I'll check back in later when everyone's had a chance to wake up.

Maggie, are you working a short day today so you can finish getting ready for your trip? What time is your flight tomorrow?

Not a lot Maggie, he gets one day at Christmas and one day at New Years... I think he took the "eves" off his choice of that or the following Mondays
His job is year round...not seasonal like the teachers

we are at 21... I am not sure how much snow we got, but Wally did not do any thing to Daisy's path or areas, so probably not much maybe and inch or two...I will check on that when I go out...that will not be for a while...

I plan on sorting laundry and getting that started, washing my hair...then cookies, and candy...when I have had enough of that I will wrap...

I'm moving slow. I heard the dryer buzz so that means I have towels to fold. I've finished my second cup of coffee. Went downstairs to look for something and decided to cut up that pad of watercolor paper into the ATC cards. That's what I bought it for.... instead of trying to make the pad fit where it wasn't going to. hehe So that's done. I have 108 precut watercolor ATCs for when I'm ready to play.

Need to go wash up the dab of dishes and start clearing off my baking counter. I'm making Bob a Banana cream pie to go with his Meat Loaf and party potatoes for supper. Then while the oven's up to temperature, maybe get some drop cookies done while I work on other stuff.

He's always home 3 weeks and gone 3 weeks. He'll leave back out on Jan. 4th. We'll watch the weather and if he needs to head out a day ahead of a storm, then that is always a possibility this time of year.

We have a 9' I bought our 3rd to last Christmas in the IL house not realizing it was going to be too tall for this house LOL. Bob needs to cut off the bottom row of branches at least - maybe 2 for it to fit in here and accomodate my natural mother's angel.
Oh, that's good. A real one wouldn't make it that long. It would become a fire harzard.

That would be nice to be able to your your mother's angel on your tree. My mom crocheted some angels years ago and I have 2 of them and I use one of them for the tree topper. I noticed in a photo my sis took of her tree this year that she has one also that she uses.

I told her we weren't going out until it got daylight. We're almost there hehe She's asleep over here beside me. I don't think she's in a big hurry.
I moved a load of laundry from washer to dryer this morning and got them all done and hung up and put a load in the washer. I'll dry them when I get home. I bought a new pullover with some pretty beading on it, and I want to throw it in the dryer with these clothes to take the wrinkles out of it. Then the laundry will be all done and I can finish packing.

Maggie, are you working a short day today so you can finish getting ready for your trip? What time is your flight tomorrow?
Nope, full day today and then a short day tomorrow. Flight leaves at 6:35, but I'm only going to work until 2. Time to get home, check on everything, feed the kitties outside and get stuff loaded in the car. I want to be at the airport early so I don't have any problems going through the new security.

Too bad. I was hoping he'd have a few days off to rest and maybe get well.

Guess I'll go get started on something. Quiet here without my boss which is very okay with me.

It is. Thanks.

Actually, the antibiotic won't help that, either. It just has to run it's course. That could be a week..... or more.

I am just praying that it goes away sooner rather than later.

Be interested in hearing your take on the security at the airport. I know it's changed since you flew earlier this year.

Bob just called. He's getting up and around. He should be home around 3. Plenty of time for me to get some stuff done here... if I can keep moving. It's one of those female days and I just don't feel up to doing much of anything.
