Now I just have to wrap. Then I can relax and enjoy the holidays. I've got my menus planned for the three holiday dinners that I'm in charge of. Did that at work yesterday when I had free time.
Now tonight I'm just coloring images, don't know if they'll be Christmas cards this year or maybe next. But the coloring does help to relax me too.
I purchased a video on coloring with Copics. It should be here this week. Figured I'd start with watching a video before I invest in the actual markers. Might be cheaper for me.

Soni & Maggie, thanks for the lovely Christmas cards! They both came today.
Maggie thanks for for the link to find you here....I was going to PM both of you.
Sorry to hear of everyone being sick. I was down & out myself last week but am feeling much better. On the plus side, that gave me a chance to finish the Christmas quilt (finally!) that I made from the panel that Debby send last Christmas QSS. Now I'm working on quilting Libby's~ can you believe she will be 7 in a few months?

I've been home sick from work today. Wasn't feeling the best yesterday at work, then during the night my stomach pain got worse. Today was dealing with the big D. So just stayed home. Sorted out the gifts and have them grouped for wrapping. Might start that tomorrow night. Each person is getting one box, but with more than one gift inside. Saves on wrapping that way. I used to love to wrap presents, but now it seems like such a chore. Gift bags will be used nexted year.
Anyone got a suggestions on how to wrap a tricycle??

what a great idea... If I did not have the SU markers I would like to try some but I cannot justify it now...I may try a few, in knowing I cannot and will not buy a lot !
If you enjoy the video, please let know... maybe I can borrow it??

Dody so glad you stopped in, you are welcome... glad it arrived !..
Wow, Libby seven, that means my Dustin will be 7 in the spring !...
how about can you believe my Ali girl just turned 13... where are the years going!
oh I forgot...and I wanted to make a few more cards tonight
but I finished up my Christmas cards getting addressed... oopps
But that's progress, Soni!
I need to run downstairs real quick and print these last 3 tags. Then I'll have a total of 9 left to put together and I THINK everything on the stamp side will be labeled and in it's place - except for what I can't do until the worksurface is put into place.
Would you believe I filled all 8 of those drawers in those 2 storage units I bought last month? LOL Yeah, it was easy.
I used to have all of my deckle scissors in a carousel bucket I'd made (with pockets) but I didn't like where it had to sit and it was looking shabby so I rearranged some things that were in the cubby holder Bob built me, moving some of it to drawers and put my scissors in 2 of the cubby's.
Aside from the organization, I think I'm looking most forward to a clear work surface with everything at my finger tips... I don't have to pull it out and let it clutter where I'm trying to work.

Yes it is and it really needed done !...
I think I am going to get ready for bed, and get Wally's vaporizer ready too...I am tired so sitting in my chair and reading is what I am ready for I think !...
Plus I need to go to Washington tomorrow, and make 3 stops... so an early night is a good thing...
I think we are expecting snow, I need to check on that...

Goodness, I hope not. I don't know how far North of St. Louis Bob will have gotten by tomorrow - not to mention driving to Chicago in it and turning around to come home. We're suppose to have sleet but that may have changed since the weather report last night hehe
Rest up Soni. Be careful out there tomorrow - but at least it's only to Washington and not all the way into Peoria.
I only have 4 tags left to put together then I'm calling it a night as well. Watch a couple Dr. Quinn's while I wait for Bob to call. Sweet Dreams!

40 % chance of snow starting in the afternoon increasing to 60 % tomorrow night and 40 % on thursday...
highs in the high teens to low 20's and some winds...
It's been warming up some....it was 65* today. Tomorrow is to be 75* or so.
My head is still stuffed up! I'm still having a little cough. No, I haven't gone to the doctor. It's about what I had earlier this year....which was viral. So, I'm doing what I did then. Musinex D during the day....except when you run out! So, we were at Walmart today...picking up all kinds of stuff. I'm not the only one sick around here!

Hello Suzy, It sure seems that these viruses of this season are long lasting too !... Hope you can and do get over all of it soon... Are you getting plenty of rest too ?
We won't be having duck for supper this weekend. Whatever got Quackers came back for Milk last night
On a brighter note...
Sue is not looking forward to bed sharing with Adrian. Adrian is a bed hog -as are most toddlers hehe. I can sleep with her no problem but Kassie trained me years ago and I adore that snuggle time with Adrian. Nothing like opening your eyes in the morning to either seeing a sleeping child or to see her awake, wide brown eyes watching you and see the smile spread across her face when she knows you've caught her. And then there's that softly whispered ' hi grandma'.
So I'm going to text Sue this morning and see if she wants the air mattress downstairs in the office (which means the filing cabinets don't get put into place just yet) and I'll sleep up here with A.
Since I might be putting the air mattress downstairs I'm pretty much done in the office until the weekend. I can work on it while Bob's out hunting.
Today I'm going to focus on cleaning the upstairs. I do want to hem the table skirts for the work surface and the book case before I put the sewing machine away so that will be first.
Thanks. My strep test was negative, but the doctor is convinced I have strep (as am I). She grossed out when she saw my throat. If the test had been positive, I could have gotten a shot, but because it was negative, I had to get the pills. And the pills are HUGE. For a sore throat?! What's up with that?
Anyway, I should be better in 24 hours. I sure better be.
I did get some chloreseptic at the store. I used it before I ate lunch, but it isn't helping much. I think I need some advil or tylenol.
Hope that those horse pills have helped and that you're feeling better. Chloreseptic might work, but it's nasty tasting.
Hahahaha...no. Jonah was with me, of course. But he was in the waiting area. He's a lot better. He had a nose bleed last night, though. I think the air is just so dry right now, and he's still stuffy.
I get like that in the winter also. My skin dries out so bad as well as my nose membranes. I try not to have the house too warm and dry.
Oh no! It's not fair that you are heading somewhere cold! I know you hate that. I hope you don't need the coat.
It's frigid here today. It was 20 when I was at the doctor's office. With the wind .... wow.
I know. You hear California and you think it's all sunny, hot, and beautiful. Not so. Their weather is about the same as it is here. It's only getting up to 59 deg. here on Friday so I'll probably be wearing my coat anyway.
We're almost 70 now and it's supposed to get close to 80 by the end of the day.
only 17 right now right at 0 this morning...but it was not bad out at the times I was out in it... Glad to be home, I helped our friend Randy do some shopping too, so I will wrap his gifts for him as a thank you...he bought his 2 yr old grand daughter a doggie that lays on the floor that is bigger than her... she can lay on it or sit on it ! so cute...
That was nice of you to help Randy out. Those Pillow Pets are so cute.
Tell Grandpa Randy to be watching Sam's Club around February. I've had it on the absolute best authority they are releasing a new stuffed animal - bigger than the pillow pets but the same price.
We bought Adrian the pillow pet bumble bee for her birthday. She picked it out but didn't know she got it till the end of the week. She was running just ahead of us and plucked it out of the cage bin... "This one's going home with me!" and took off on the run LOL Needless to say, it took Grandpa all of about 2 min to realize what he was getting her for her birthday. We let her ride around in the cart with it til we were ready to check out. She sat on it and held the antanne like she was riding it.
That sounds cute. I think all kids need a pillow pet (and some adults too)
Shell, I hope the meds work quickly. Test my foot... you've been in agony that should have been enough to want to offer you QUICK relief. But what do we know, huh?
Resting sounds good. I came home with a horrid headache. I think it's from the cold. I still need to walk out to the pond and check on Milk. He's the timid one of the two - go figure that's the one I'd be left with.
Thank you. I think it has to do with the 'company' regulations on it. She was a nurse practioner and probably couldn't step outside of her bounds, ya know.?
I rested for a bit. Jaydin was watching the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
I got up and showed her a video that I saw last night on FB. It's' a YouTube video of an iBand. If you've not seen it, go watch. TOO cool. ALL ipods, ipads, and iphones used for the music.
That's pretty cool. I'll have to watch the whole thing later. Some people have such creativeness.
I watched the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe the other night. Can't wait to see Legend of the Dawn Trader. Hopefully we'll see it in CA.
I'm eating the leftover ravs and enjoying a glass of iced tea.
Day #2 without a soda and Day #2 without my sinuses driving me nuts or needing medication. I'd heard the sodium and caffeine aggravate them so we'll see. Just decaf iced tea and iced water for me today - except for 2 fluffy coffees
I've never heard of that. I rarely drink soda anyway and no caffeine for me except whatever is in chocolate. No way could I give that up.
I made leftovers for supper tonight. Took some leftover turkey, leftover gravy and about 1-1/2 cups frozen mixed veggies. Put them together in a baking dish. Warmed it in the oven until hot & bubbly. Then mixed up some Bisquick dough, dropped it onto the turkey mixture. Popped back in the oven for about 15-20 minutes. That was supper.

So sorry you were feeling poorly yesterday. I have that has passed and you're doing better.
I've heard on the news that many people are using gift bags these days. So much easier.
Your dinner sounds pretty yummy - quick and easy.
Hmmmmm. . . Will it fit in an extra large trash bag?
I've missed chatting with you all. I've got all my Christmas shopping done tho. I did 100% of it online this year. But it seems to take forever when I can't find what I'm looking for.

I try to do my shopping online also. I hate fighting the crowds at the malls - and that's even before you get in the stores. Parking is a nightmare.
Wow! You're doing 3 holiday dinners! That's a lot. I think I'd do one and the others would be leftovers.
You will LOVE Copic markers. I've been using them for some time now and have invested in quite a few. I even went in November and took the Certification class. I can't wait for next year to take the advanced class.
Soni & Maggie, thanks for the lovely Christmas cards! They both came today.
Maggie thanks for for the link to find you here....I was going to PM both of you.

You are so welcome. Glad you found us.
Sorry you've been under the weather also, but glad that you are feeling better. Are you going to share pictures of the quilt that you did?
Soni, I got your pretty card yesterday also, and thank you for the extra images you sent.
oh I forgot...and I wanted to make a few more cards tonight
but I finished up my Christmas cards getting addressed... oopps
I didn't get to play last night at all. I had a visit to make with a friend from church and after that had Tithing Settlement with the Bishop up at church. Of course he was late, but I expected that.
On the way home I remembered that we were having our Christmas lunch here at work today and I was going to bring Sweet potato cassarole and had not gotten the potatoes, so I had to quickly go up to Kroger and get that. While I was in the area, stopped next door and got a Cranberry Limeade at Sonic. Yummy.
By the time I got home, I really didn't have time for much.
