Meet here guys! LOL Found us a chat thread!

Okay since we can't all get together on blogs or Facebook I started a thread for us to gab on! I'll be inviting you over! LOL

PMR 09-28-2010 10:35 AM

Hooray, a place to chat and we don't have to find everyone! Thanks ducki! I will not sign up for any more swaps til after the New Year, but I don't want to miss my swapping buddies!

NancyLuvsMickey 09-28-2010 04:55 PM

I found you!!!

nhagen 09-28-2010 05:37 PM

I'm here!

ducki 09-28-2010 07:32 PM

Cool Beans! I'm not signing up for any more swaps either right now. I have enough committed to that will probably lay around and Charli will end up stealing them. That's okay it will keep her busy with them and I can have Kaylee! LOL

nhagen 09-29-2010 01:57 AM

Ya, she can't scrap and hold Kaylee at the same time. So you will have to help her out! Definitely!!

Don't worry I'll help her out! LOL

PMR 09-29-2010 05:24 AM

Too funny. I have a huge shopping bag overflowing with border swaps and such. I sorted into 4 2.5 gallon hefty bags. Then I have 1 very overflowing 2.5 gal bag of Disney stuff. I have one of those 12x12 cases you get at michaels full of 12x12 pages, again not including Disney, and it is bulging!

I have to organize my pictures so I can actually scrap. I am having friends over on the 16th so I want the pictures organized so I can scrap then. A few of us stamp and a few scrap. We were going to crops but were never thrilled so we decided to try it at home. It works great for me, I do not have to move my stuff. And it forces me to get the house clean. I cook dinner and they bring the rest. We have a lot of gun and laughs and it doesn't cost too much.

I am home today. My youngest is sick. I was off anyway. I have to call the dr but they usually don't answer the phone til 9:30. Dh is on the home phone with a phone interview. So I wait.

Nancy P-which school are you at? I placed a library request for a book and Iowa state was one of my choices, I thought of you

ducki 09-29-2010 05:30 AM

We have one of those 3 drawer plastic rolling cabinets - not the little ones the one that's the size of a small dresser. We have the one top drawer full of Disney she didn't use yet but wanted to keep, and a drawer full of general girl and baby girl stuff. Of course, one of these days I will finish my DD's scrapbooks from when they were babies! LOL

NancyLuvsMickey 09-29-2010 06:08 AM

I'm at the University of Iowa - go Hawks!!!

I have three laundry baskets full of border sets... 1 is nothing but Disney and the other 2 are everything else... I've put a nice dent in the Disney stuff but haven't touched the rest yet...

And add me to the list of taking a break from swapping... Between never being home at night and having way to much swap stuff that needs to be used, it's time for me to take a swap break and get some scrapping done...

I should take a picutre of my scrap area, just so you can see how much stuff I have... Geesh!!! I wonder if my camera takes panoramic view pictures???

ducki 09-29-2010 06:18 AM

I would have been embarrased to post a pic of mine! It looked like a bunch of Elmo's escaped and took over the place! LOL Since everything is ready for the shower now and I'm moved back into my regular scrap place it's much neater now! However, since we are moving the kids home I will probably put their diningroom table in there too so we don't have to find a home for it and we have more room to scrap! LOL I folded the 8ft banquet table down last night to give me room for the set we got them. I also have a regular wooden kitchen type table with 1 leaf in it and a countertop built in to work on. The countertop is stacked full of supplies right now though! I didn't organize completely when I moved stuff back to the craft room when my nephew moved out because Charli will be bringing all her stuff home too so we might as well only organize once!

My little one has strep, great! We have to meet with the ENT Specialist in a few weeks. He had ear tubes put in a long time ago, and now we have to consider getting his tonsils out.

I battled strep, asthma, tonsilitis, and ear infections like crazy with my oldest and when they finally took her tonsils out....tada....no more trouble! Even though none of us want to see our kids have to have a surgery I was so glad we did that! Too bad they waited until she was about 7 to do it! All those years of feeling crappy could have been avoided! If he's having trouble I highly recommend removal! In DD's case she also didn't sleep well at night and snored waking herself up. The adenoids were removed at the same time and her breathing all around was much better and no more snoring either!

PMR 09-29-2010 05:28 PM

My niece just went through adenoids and tonsils out, ear tubes in. She was fine! He is not a snorer, but he has had some many infections that I am thinking surgery. We will see what the specialist says. He put his ear tubes in years ago. He had strep in May, June and July. In fact we had just arrived at the Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland when my husband's phone rang saying his strep test was positive. We found a walgreens and then had to deal with lugging a cooler with his antibiotic around all week.

Have a great night. I have had a very good day other than the sickie! More tomorrow.

nhagen 09-29-2010 05:51 PM

I didn't get strep until I was 41 and it was awful! I hope your little one is feeling better, Pia.

I have a lot of unused swaps but not nearly as much as you, NP! 3 laundry baskets! I try to take only a few spots not try to ged one of everything LOL

I do have two sets of ABC Disney recipe cards in a bag, one bag of tags-in-a- bag, a box of borders and a box of card candy (with another on the way). oh and I have two sets of Disney Calendars.

My problem is I forget I have the stuff. Lately I haven't had any time to scrap anyway.

I am cutting back on swaps because they lost there excitement. The rush is gone!

I had back to school night tonight and I am pooped!

PMR 09-30-2010 04:31 AM

Oh I have 2 sets of the Disney recipes too, forgot about those!

ducki 09-30-2010 04:45 AM

That's one thing you guys got on me! I don't have any recipe swaps. It's not that my friends haven't tried to convince me it's that I never have time to cook and when I do DH is a meat and tators guy so why bother with fancy recipes right? LOL

PMR 09-30-2010 05:06 AM

I can send you a set!

NancyLuvsMickey 09-30-2010 05:27 AM

Pia ~ both my older sisters had their adenoids and tonsils removed 35 years ago... Back then, it was the thing to do...

And I'll take a picture of my scrap area this weekend and post it... You might want to sit down before you view the picture!!! I don't want you to fall over from shock and hurt yourself!!!

NancyH ~ my swapping logic was, I'm gonna sign up for as many spots as I can to get my money's worth out of the postage!!!

Ducki ~ I have like 6 different sets of Disney ABC recipe books... And haven't used any of them... They just sit on my shelf looking pretty...

Oh, and I forget about the two zip lock bags full of Disney 6x6 pages... And the two complete Disney calendar sets that are just sitting there, looking all sad, because they aren't being used... And I still have a box of Disney 12x12 pages that I haven't used yet... Oh and lets not forget about all the Disney autograph pages...

Goodness, I do have a lot of swap stuff, don't I??? Geesh!!!

PMR 09-30-2010 06:16 AM

I used lots of the autograph pages on 12x12 pages and then sent a bunch to Natalie. I agree about the postage, I would take more spots to get my money worth. Now to use the stuff.

ducki 09-30-2010 07:32 AM

I am sitting at my desk kicked back rocking a sleeping 2 month old little fella! Ah this is the life! I love it when someone needs a baby watched during a meeting! It's a rough job but I'm willing to take one for the team! LOL

PMR 09-30-2010 10:50 AM

It is always good to be a team player!

ducki 09-30-2010 11:45 AM

It didn't last near long enough! I only had the little fella for about an hour...I'm going to complain that there needs to be longer meetings when small babies need a sitter! LOL

nhagen 09-30-2010 11:58 AM

I gave one set of the recipe cards as a Christmas gift. Eventually another will go as a Christmas gift. I forget, I also have a huge set of cookie recipe cards and side dishes from a swap!

I'm sure they are in bags somewhere! LOL

It has been pouring rain all day today.

I will take some pix of my scrap crap... uh I mean room! I'll try to post this weekend too.

Aw, how sweet. Yep, definitely need longer meetings when babies need holding!

Ok ladies, here ya go... Better sit down before you look at 'em!!!

I took pictures from 3 different views... What you don't see in the picture is what's in the back storage room... See that metal storage shelf in the back against the wall??? I have another one that size full of my rubber stamps in the back room.... And I have one that size, but twice as tall that holds all my extra paper, scrapbooks, and other stuff... And I also have an over the door shoe holder that holds all my punches...

And add Disney LOTW's to my list of swap stuff... I've been using alot of LOTW's but I still have lots yet to use!!!

nhagen 09-30-2010 03:07 PM

OMG! You have a lot of stuff. You win! LOL

Luckily, I did not get suckered into buying large amounts of rubber stamps. Rubber stamps are okay to play with but I do not have a passion for buying large amounts of them.

NancyLuvsMickey 09-30-2010 03:39 PM

I got into stamping about 6 years ago... And that's what got me into scrapbooking... It's all EVIL!!!

It is all evil!!

I started scrap booking over ten yrs ago but for a while I just didn't have very much time and my stuff was all packed up because we tried to buy new office furniture (long story) and I moved everything out of the way. So I finally got it all out again (then the real buying began) and started scrapping again.

PMR 09-30-2010 05:24 PM

Okay, here goes, I could not get the thumbnails to work so here are the links

nope can't get those to work either. THey are in my gallery hopefully I can link later.

ducki 10-01-2010 09:22 AM

I started out as a Stampin Up addict making cards and went from that to scrapbooking. However, I did get rid of a lot of my stamp sets when I bought my cricut. I lent them to my brother's girlfriend when they were home from Colorado on vacation one time....then they broke up...good thing I didn't want any of them to use again! LOL

ducki 10-01-2010 09:28 AM

If I posted pics right now it would be completely unfair since I just relocated to my original craft room! It's nice and neat - well sort of - everything is stacked neatly to the side til we get the trailer unloaded and add all Charli's stuff back in to the room. I should have taken a pic before I moved back to my original craft room. However, it would look a whole lot like you guy's except with Elmo's everywhere! I thought that Elmo was invading! Everywhere you looked he was there! Now he's all stuffed into boxes for the baby shower! LOL

PMR 10-01-2010 11:06 AM

I can't get into the gallery, I will try later. I had a nice day so far. My bff took me to breakfast and coffee. Then I got my hair cut and colored, it needed it. I am hoping to run to Kohls when DH get homes. I need to buy him some new pants.

nhagen 10-01-2010 12:30 PM

Wow, Pia you have a lot of stuff too! I don't know how has more, you or Nancy!! LOL

I will get pix taken tonight. I won't clean up or anything either!

PMR 10-01-2010 04:27 PM

I still can't get in the gallery to edit. This is a corner of the living room. I am committed to cleaning the house top to bottom so I need to get rid of my stuff too. I need to alter stuff I bought to alter or get rid of it! Use it or lose it!

nhagen 10-01-2010 08:31 PM

Ok, who am I kidding! I will take pix this weekend. Tonight, I went to the groceries for the first time in two weeks. I haven't done laundry for almost as long, or cleaned anything!

PMR 10-02-2010 03:27 AM

My laundry is done, we need to put it all away now. We need to paint, get a new dishwasher, and really clean. My husband cleans by moving his piles of crap from one spot to another. My kitchen floor was clean, but it has been raining and is a mess again. I am going to draft a huge list and then start working away. I am hoping to clean my desk tomorrow.

I know we are all cutting back on swaps, but I am in a 4x4 calendar swap. I am using my phone so I can't post the link easily. These go together quickly and make cute gifts
