I know - so frightening! Another item for my prayer list today :(

And if you Chickies could - I have a "silent request" - can't give you details because it is not public knowledge at this point - but please just say a prayer for a friend that received some tough news today.

Will do.

Darice, you asked on the other thread about the kids. Sara is fine, and keeping me sane. She has been texting with friends to find out about their dads. Sam has been xboxing, as soon as he knew his dad was okay. He is like his dad, keeps it all in. Cody is working and called to check on Bill!

Glad the kids are OK as far as you can tell. This has to be so hard for all those living around you.

SellsBskts 11-05-2009 03:47 PM

Big need for blood in our area and I can't give.

IT is just crazy. He is a soldier, and from what we are hearing now...worked in the mental health department....WOW!

They don't know anything about the other suspects...haven't released it yet.

I heard the request for blood. Hope lots of people in the area get out and give if they can.

It is crazy.

Be back in a bit. Going to head down to the hen pit. Maybe I can figure out what to take to Beckys. At least my hands will be busy while watching the news.

Totally understandable! Saying prayers for those affected. Hang in there chickie! Hopefully Bill will be home soon, so you can wrap your arms around him. Give him an extra hug from me.

CindyL 11-05-2009 03:57 PM

Good evening chickies!

dandygrove 11-05-2009 03:58 PM

Me too. Will mail tomorrow.

whew...We had a couple kids ineligible to play ball at our school and I had to make the difficult calls to the parents. Surprisingly it went better than I expected and no one yelled or hung up on me.

Barb will be happy that her bed is cleaned off (and no I did not shove it all over the side  )

SellsBskts 11-05-2009 05:49 PM

He is on his way home. They are searching every car as it leaves. IT could be hours before he gets home. But he is coming home.

Ha Ha Ha ! Thanks! I will probably head home Monday morning, I might stop at Ann's since she took the day off, or just come home to spend time with Mac. Need to practice for the Target league that starts on Tuesday too.

SellsBskts 11-05-2009 06:34 PM

He is home!

I'm surprised, and disappointed in some ways, maybe we will find out some day why he did it.

scrappylilstamper 11-05-2009 07:10 PM

Hello! Chickin in from my mom's! Had to come over here to do a few things on her computer. Whew! Glad I logged in, just in the nick of time! Going back to catch up on the old thread!

scrappylilstamper 11-05-2009 07:19 PM

Crystal, glad Bill and is okay and the kids handled it for now. OMG. Crazy! I happened to have a news channel on when it all started, and got so wrapped up in the breaking news, I left my hair dye on WAY too long! WHOOPS!

Just.......unbelievable!

scrappylilstamper 11-05-2009 07:21 PM

Barb, I will get a card together when I get home for the little boy. I have a super cutesie kid-ish Christmas card I think he'll love! So sad.

That was SO sweet of Mac to call and check on Bill!!! I see why you love him. ;)

Oh, well bummer they were ineligible (grades?) but glad the dreaded phone call went better than usual!

I haven't talked to her at all yet! Her stinkin cell phone battery isn't holding a charge. But dad talked to her this evening, the bus pulled out about 6. She'll get back to Dayton about 2 or 3 in the morning. She's just going home with the lady from church who invited her to go, and dad will pick her up after his radiation in the morning.

scrappylilstamper 11-05-2009 07:31 PM

Well, I better head home! Not sure if I'll make it back on when I get home, if not, sweet dreams! Big {{{HUGS}}} to all the chicks!
