Or maybe that's something you'd want to do with Wrose or her BFF or your mom so that way y'all could actually get together for delivery instead of shipping across the country.
I'm like E, I have every color, if I get down to under ten sheets, I order a new pack.

Hello....checking in. I do actually have lounge pants on...they are lime green.
Poor Mom isn't doing so well today. Her O2 is down to 78..not good. She is on the highest amount of oxygen possible.
She's very pale today. Sleeping a lot. I talked to her briefly...showed her the spaghetti bowl I bought for 90% off at Hobby Lobby. She liked it. Tried to tempt her with an orange fruit slice...she said..hmmmm...maybe. Tried to tempt her with a green Sno-ball...she looked interested. Bridget(CNA friend) went home for the weekend. I have night shift either tonight or tomorrow night. It's all good...I can snooze on the couch with my chihuahuas.
Yeah, the nurse comes 3 days a week and the nurses aid comes on the other two days. On the weekends we're on our own but if there's a problem, you can call and they'll talk you through anything or a nurse will come over.
Her vitals were all lower today but the O2 was much lower. Sometimes when she sleeps she breathes through her mouth and she has nasal cannula in so I want to tape her mouth shut! LOL.
She's got some longer pauses between her breathing right now...she's asleep but she's breathing very deep and even.
My sister wants to analyze everything and wants to know how long she has. I don't worry about it. I just hang out here next to her as long as she's here.
I really will miss her. I was a good girl and paid all her bills tonight! Yay me!!
My sister asked Bridget how I was handling it because she said she knows Bridget and I talk. She told Bridget she didn't think I would be okay with all this.
I told Bridget who is EVER okay with this? I'll be fine. I know I will. I'll be a mess for a while but I'll be fine. It's my sister who isn't handling it at all. I know we have our own ways of coping but I truly am worried about Sister. She is going to be in bad shape.
I don't want to hold everybody up while I'm dealing with my own grief...so I hope they all can handle it okay. I need my time to do my thing.

Awww......
Nice to try to tempt her.
I've got my sweat pants on, my usual at-home lounge pants.

I bought an 8 pound ham for $6 today. We haven't bought pop in a while and my store had it 3 24-packs for $12. whoo hoo diet pepsi!! Sometimes I miss pop so I had one for supper!
Chicken breasts were .98/lb and I got a 3 1/2 pound bag of chicken wings already split into those 2 pieces for $3.99. Got stuff for lunches, laundry soap, fabric softener, and toilet paper for pretty cheap too. And deli meat...Krakus ham for $3.98/lb...we eat lots of ham sandwiches here...well the kids do!
Yeah, feet show how well the heart is working. If it isn't working well, they'll be purple and you won't feel a pulse. She has dark feet, but there is a pulse, though it's faint. From the waist up, she's darker too and her lips tend to turn blue if she's laying flat. We try to keep her around 45 degree angle to get as much oxygen as possible as long as she tolerates it.

i have to say as horrible as the japan situation is right now, the one thing that stands out the most to me....
the survivor reports i'm hearing are mostly positive and upbeat - people helping people... haven't heard any looting and killing and stealing - i'm sure there is some, but haven't heard the reports saying it...
and the only thing i can think of is the difference between that and katrina...

Nope. If it was my fault you'd be humming 'little red Fiat Spyder.'

Join the club. I caved and mine went on yesterday then again for an hour tonight. I'm lounging in snazzy checked pj bottoms. Getting things together for the camping trip tomorrow. Had a meltdown today about that, the vinegar from an entire jar of pickles leaking out in the fridge courtesy of DS2 and the stress of not knowing what's happening with DHs job and all that brings.

Different outlook of the people, I think. Different lifestyle and expectations that when something is wrong they will all pull together. I read an article somewhere a couple of days ago talking about the fact there was no looting etc.

YOu make my heart happy Carol. I know you'll be fine. And some days you'll be great. And some days you'll be a soppy American. But I hope that you enjoy the moments you have for what they are now.

Oh Carol. I hope they give you that time. I hope you can make yourself a space for that.
The way you take care of your Mom just sounds so loving and accepting without giving up on her. I think you're giving her such a generous gift by doing that. I think that also gives her the chance to give back to you.
I think it's really tough when people don't handle things well. When my Dad died my sister took a lot out on me. I understood it but it was really hard to handle that at the same time that she pretty much counted on me to handle all the practical things she seemed almost furious at me for not falling apart.
I had that same feeling of just sort of instinctively detaching just enough to get through doing what needed to be done. But I also felt that on some level she really judged me for being unfeeling when I didn't fall apart. That was really hard. When she blew up and quit speaking to me it was hard but also on one level a big relief. We're back in touch now and doing better but it was a really difficult thing for both of us to handle.

Yikes ERK.
I hope the camping trip is a good break.

It just amazed me that they had no looting. That was incredible. It does seem like a culture where people have a much stronger sense of respect and honor.
