Hey ladies! Thanks for the advice. I still have not made up my mind, and thinking I will do as Melody is doing and wait another week for the retired list. In the mean time I did order the word set that I wanted And...SU said picking would be 3-4 days....but somehow my stuff picked and shipped in one day.

Dawn - if you see this...please let me know you are OK. I know there are so bad storms in your area today. I talked to your neighbor today who let me know she is OK and to let anyone who happens to ask that she is OK.

It is 3pm and I am still in my jammies! I did not even get out from bed until 10am, oh so lovely.

I have some cards to upload later once I get my chores and shopping done. I doubt I will be able to stamp today but still holding out hope.

Jeanne-can't wait to see what you have coming next!

Hope that everyone has had a great day!

Welllll.....I did something different this afternoon....

Stamp??? (I hear some of you say!!) NOPE!!
DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! After cleaning up from our ride (which both boys did REALLY well on....very proud of oldest ds....this ride stretched his comfort level and abilities a lot, but he did it!) I just grabbed a junky book and read all afternoon. How wonderful was that!!!
Hope you all had just as an enjoyable afternoon!

I did get a card made tonight for my secret sister with Jeanne's new stamps by inking with markers and stamping on soft sky dp, and it came out really purdy. Well, I was happy with it.

I was thinking I should start to get concerned that it wasn't here, but I gave it one more day and it showed up. Usually I can figure about a week max from anywhere in the country, since I'm in the middle.

Woo Hoo Melody! Can't wait to see what you do with them. I am resisting the temptation to buy anything else yet...but I just know once I start seeing you guys buy them I am going to want them.

Has anyone heard from Dawn in the last 2 days? They had some very bad storms and tornado's in her area and I can't reach her. I have her home # but not her cell. Does anyone happen to have that?

Nothing much going on here. Hope to stamp soon but who knows when that will really happen!

I had some stamp time today. Did 2 cards for the rubbernecker bloggers challenge. That felt really good, since I have been so lacking in motivation to stamp lately.

We had an absolutely gorgeous day weather wise. After a number of days of very violet storms (including golf ball size hail one day), today was dry, sunny, breezy - mid 70's. I love it when I can open the windows instead of turning on the ac.

I thought summer vacation meant more "open" time for me (and to try and achieve my goal of stamping 2-3 x week). Sigh.....so far we are still running around to this and that....I have new toys to play with....whaaaaaa!!!!

Nooooo, Starla, you've got it backwards. Summer vacation means mom has no time for squat. Going back to school is mom's vacation to try and get some me time. At least that's what I try to tell myself every summer.

I finally have my power back!!!! I went 4 days without it!

They're not calling it a tornado... but it was. Many people spotted funnels. I drove right into one as it was forming. It was done like in 10 seconds. I turned the corner and OMG... it really was a tornado. I live in one of the subs that they kept showing on the news. I know they surveyed the damage from the air, but they should look at the damage from the ground and stop putting 100% faith in technology (radar). I'm a volunteer weather spotter and I saw no evidence of straight line winds/microburst/Deracho windstorm. Photos will be on my new blog soon.

I have gained 2 pounds during the power outage. Ouch! Too much out to eat and take out! But I'm still down 14 pounds!!!!

I'm slowly PMing people to let you know who I am so a big discussion is not held in the forums.

Chat later.

Hey gals! Glad to see you Miss Boo and you are finally back in the land of internet.

SOOOO much going on here. Last full week of school, gearing up to be on vacation next week (staying home tho), DS's 4th BD today, party this weekend, Father's Day....ugh, what else! Oh I have to clean the basement since we will have visitors next week. At least then I will have some stamp time. I do have a few new stamps to play with so there is some incentive.

hope that everyone has a great Friday!

Yep - Father's Day...already! I managed to get cards out to my DH's dad and psudo-dad. I am wishing I had a place to at least go talk to my dad this year. My step-sister just sent me a journal he wrote down some memories in his last year that I never knew about. Unfortunatly his ashes and the graves they were scattered on are over 6 hours away.

Somehow I need to figure out something for DH. I've been trying to find a cool shirt template to use for him but everything is too fancy. DH is just a good ole redneck construction worker and I need something very simple. It does not help his birthday was just a couple of weeks ago so trying to be creative.

Boo - great to see you So glad you and Dawn survived OK.

Sherry - I was thrilled to see who you are designing for now. I love Our Daily Bread and look forward to the day I can actually get some of the great sets they offer.

Jeanne and Sherry... Where are your inspiration cards? It's perfect for Jeanne's new stamps!

I made a card using Flora & Flairs. I think it's been a week since I've last made a card. I have to take a short break again from cards. With Father's Day tomorrow, I have to update my son's scrapbook for my parents.

I'm not sure if Jeanne has a keyword yet. I used JSC for Jeanne Streiff Collection.

I'm not sure. They came straight across Michigan from the lake I think. We're not used to storms that severe, but they do happen occasionally.

The photos are on my blog now.

OK, a few pages back someone said this isn't an "exclusive" group, so I thought maybe I'd say hi?! Seems like most of the girls I've always chatted with are too busy lately even for a quick hello, and I miss having someone to check in with every now and then (or just to chat with when I should be working!) LOL I never "stuck" with stalking for very long but was known to from time to time. I recognize a lot of faces here!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! No more storms and power outages, ya' hear???

Hi Tammy. Welcome. Most of the 'chatting' here is pretty spaced out (maybe that's because we are) lol. It's rare that there are even two or three on here at the same time.

Hi ladies. I finally stamped a father's day for DH today. I didn't upload on here, just my blog. The front is sorta boring, but the inside is fun. I still don't have a gift, though. Just plain don't know what to get. I'll think of something - late!

Going to bed now. Nite!

Hi Tammy. Welcome.

I finally got DH's Father's Day card stamped tonight too, but the ice stickles haven't finished drying yet. He hasn't seen it yet either thank goodness. Also no gift since I've been too sick to shop this week, so he'll just have to take a rain check.

I'm heading to bed too. Nite folks.

Glad you found us Tammy!!

Ok...mommy brag time here!!
For father's day we decided to ride our bikes to the beach.....now here is the brag part: the oldest (age 11) rode the tandem with dh (I've been booted to my single bike now!!) and the youngest(age 7) rode his tagalong beind my IL's tandem.....for 52 miles!!!!! We did 26 miles down, ate lunch and then rode back!! They did AWESOME!! No complaining for the 3 hours/20 min ride time AND the oldest had enough spunk in him that for the last 10 miles he/dh avg 20 mph and then the last mile kicked it into high gear so that "he could drop mommy and make her hurt"!!! (and hurt I did!! I couldn't hang on their wheel....had to drop back and finish it in by myself!!). The youngest came in with the others just a few mins later.
If you could realize how our lives revolve around riding you would understand the proud parents/grandparents yesterday!!

OCC - That's what I've been using today. I've been editing photos anyways because they weren't showing up in the new company galleries.

I love the company galleries! I can't wait until we can upload right to them. The main gallery page will take some getting used to... The pictures are soooo big! I like to see more choices at one time. But I'll get used to it.

Starla... congrats on the awesome ride... that should be worth a few extra calories today! Yah... that's how I think. That's why losing weight is so hard for me.

uhhhh......that's why it is so hard for me too!!! When I was in my 20's, I would ride everyday and eat what ever I wanted....now....I MAYBE ride once/twice a week and still think that I can eat what I want (and the answer is NO I CANT!!!)
