My SIL's mother died last Thursday and we had to drive to Del Rio for a funeral, Then Sunday I went to a baby shower for a cousin(by marriage). Never rested this weekend. Thursday is our annual lake weekend with the family. Busy busy!
Sounds like you guys are getting ready for the last one to go to college. I will be doing that this next year with Blake. We are trying to figure out if we have enough money saved yet for Blake. We want to quit contributing to the college funds so brian can get a new truck LOL
You know and interesting fact I found out in the College 101 thing.
Not that I think anyone is doing this that I know but I thought it was an interesting fact.
If someone who has student loans files for bankruptcy they cannot include the student loans in the bankruptcy. They are still responsible to the government to repay the loans. The government will not allow them to be included in it.
I didn't know that and thought that was interesting. Honestly they shouldn't be included but I didn't think the government was smart enough to do that.
the thought of all those unpaid student loans overwhelms me. Most kids get a college degree of some kind these days. They are as common as a high school diplomas. The cost of tuition keeps going up up up. It's too bad we can't figure out how to get our kids jobs after they graduate in order to pay those loans. It's a catch 22. I really wish my daughter had considered a technology degree of some kind. It seems to be where a lot of jobs are now days. I have no idea what she will do with her Bachelor of Arts and sciences degree.
Taking my dog to meet my mom today. We are meeting half way between Here and San Antonio. Its cheaper than boarding her for the weekend and much less stressful on her. Lake weekend awaits me. My poor hubby is really too busy to take off for a long weekend. Working late every night. He is very far behind at work from the last trip we took.
Well, today I have to pack , finish laundry, pick up a cake to take to the lake, get ice, then drive to the lake. I can do this! DH is working until noon then coming home to help me load the car. It is a lot of work to go someplace for 4 days LOL
