Okay... snort. I can't stop laughing. My husband and son are looking at me like I've lost it.

We have a silly thing we do here. Some kid will say, "That's gonna drive me crazy!" and I'll say, "I'll drive you crazy." Or they'll say, "My leg hurts" and I'll say "I'll hurt your leg." Sometimes it works out in their favor. They'll say, "I'll never get my homework done," and they'll say, "I'll do your homework!"

Some come off all wrong. The other day Ethan quoted a movie and said, "I can't feel my butt" and I started to say, "I'll feel..." and quit.

So I read your "artsy fartsy" and I started to say, "I'll fart your art!"

And I still can't stop laughing.

the last time I was in New Orleans, I hauled home an apron that reads... ( its totally black with just these words in white)

dont make me poison your food...

this stamp looks like it would suit that sentiment if I ever find it in a stamp...

Hee hee.

You know, fall back is when I slowly get back on an almost semi-normalish sleep cycle (usually am asleep by 2 a.m. during winter months and am up sometimes even before 10.

But then the stupid DST comes along, and I'm back ina sleeping mess.

For some people, it isn't about the forward or back. It is about the disturbance to their circadian rhythm. Some people take longer to adjust to changes than others.

Linda have you ever looked at the craft fair best sellers thread? ( those gals are all about altering things to sell them, so the things have to be affordable and such...) it hides here:

2013 Craft Sale Best Sellers - Ideas and Discussion

and there are also some older threads that may contain links to things they have made in the past...

Or the whisk with kisses? Whisking you a Merry Kiss-Mas!! by stephinekleinpeter - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers I bought whisks at the dollar store one year, a roll of basket wrap and a huge bag of kisses. I gave one to everyone in the office for Christmas. They were very popular and it wasn't all that expensive.

I know... I need more of the transparent paste, I think I will not bother to replace any of the colored ones... the see through where you ink it first then paste then glitter is my favorite.

Well as one who can't use glitter without sparkling for days, just call yourself a vampire and roll with it.

Morning. I'm hoping to get out of work at a reasonable hour too. Ds1 broke his glasses yesterday, so besides being exhausted I need to take him in to get an eye exam for a current rx before they will order new glasses. And it's orchestra and dance night so lots of running today.

This morning I finished the 25 Christmas/thank you notes that I need for my moms group tomorrow. Nothing like waiting till the day before you need them.

I had a friend that moved the second week in December 2 or 3 years ago and I know they had a lot simpler Christmas that year than normal. Maybe you'll find that you prefer the simplified Christmas. Is your oldest son still in college? Is he going to be able to join you right away or does he need to finish out the semester?

I'll be here until the 15th. I'm going to get hubby to get a PO box to forward our mail to after that. So any time should be fine. I have my box with my markers in it here so I can find images to color if possible.

It wouldn't surprise me since we seem to be liking simple way more as we get older.

No he isn't in college right now. So he will be going with us. I'm hoping he will go back to school after we get moved and settled in.

I did move into this house in November... ( but, it was only across town not out of state) so it was stressful mostly about moving plants ( I pretty much dug up my whole garden and moved it ) ( so those plants stayed in pots all winter until I could make beds for them at this house.

Hey, Suzanne. Do I have anything you want to color? I've got lots of stuff here. I'd be happy to send you whatever you want. I could stamp 'em today and send 'em right out!

A part of me just wants to at this. Seriously? With all the crime going on out there in the world, the thing that you toss people in jail for is overdue library books? Ok, ok, I get that the police don't waste time actively pursuing them, but the fact that this is even possible is just ridiculous. Call up the patron (or email them or text them or whatever!) and have them pay to replace the book. End of story.

I've always wondered why SCREENED volunteers didn't meet on a Saturday every month, take a list of overdue books and go ask for them. "Hi, I'm Jane with the Ridgecrest library, and I am here about your overdue book, 'How to Manage Time, Money, and Possessions in Ten Easy Steps.' Would it be possible to get that from you today? We're trying to save busy patrons the hassle of driving the six blocks to the library to return it. I'll just wait here while you get that. Thank you." Then, once the book is in hand. "I would be happy to provide you with a paid receipt if you'd like to cover the thirty-nine dollar fine while I'm here. Otherwise, we'll be happy to let the fines accrue until tax time when they're added to your property taxes." Once ready to go, you could then wave said book at them and say, "See! It worked. Today you managed to save yourself a trip to the library--time. Money (you paid your fine instead of letting it accrue until the end of the year), and possessions--you get to keep it since you paid for replacing it with your excessive fines. Have a good day!"
