oops, just realised time, can't catch up any more... but to the person who asked about textured cardstock (PH?), the only textured available now is Core-dinations in certain colours. All other cs is smooth, even in the Simply Scrappin' kits.

Trust me I have a pretty sick sense of humor but if it were me, I'd be calling someone with either the police and/or CPS for suggestions on how to handle this in a manner that let her know exactly how serious an issue this is--how much money it can waste for taxpayers, and how much it can tear families apart when false reports are made.

E I'm really sorry about that. I'd be furious. And doubly furious at DH for acting as thought it's some sort of hilarious sitcom joke.
E, I hope everything has calmed down and smoothed out as best as possible since all this went down. I like Jane's suggestion about trying to impress upon DD2 the seriousness of what she did.

And I think your husband deserves a pianogram from each of the Pondies for thinking this was amusing.

I have to pay for gas, and next year (this year I won't likely make enough), my own taxes as a sub. We'll have to see how that part works out - it may not be worth it. A few hundred bucks for xmas and Jan/Feb kids' b'days, though - that will be worth it
Sounds like it can be interesting work. I hope you enjoy it!

Just sayin'.

We'll be visiting the in-laws for Thanksgiving.

The good thing about it is that I don't have to cook. Get three people in their kitchen at one time, and it's crowded. (I am, however, trying to figure out if I can squeeze in time to make a batch of crack peanuts before we leave, and take them with us.)

All I know for Thanksgiving dinner is that there will be 14 people there. Seven are family - the four of us, MIL, FIL and BIL. DH doesn't know who the other seven will be. (This is not an uncommon thing for MIL to do. DH and his brother like to refer to such people as MIL's "strays".)

Never mind the fact that their table is meant to seat only 8 people, because they'll figure out a way to squish 10 people up to it. I've seen that done before.

And because they'll be cooking for a crowd, there's a good chance that their gagtastic pasta salad will be made at some point when we're there. Ick.

Envious yet? LOL

I feel like I'm finally on the down side of Mount Washmore today. Laundry load #6 is in the dryer and #7 will be going in the washing machine in a few minutes.

Well, it's done. DS's girlfriend wanted to come out and visit and it be a surprise to DS. She arrived this morning, I picked her up, made an excuse to be able to pick up DS from class, with her in the car.

Wow. His face. Well worth it. He said he didn't think I was capable of such deception! ha ha ha

So...
another busy weekend of work and sleep and a few errands.
I forgot how utterly miserable some people behave during the holidays. One lady actually almost ripped me a new one because we only had Christmas gravy boats.

Uh no we have metal and white gravy boats. They happen to be in an area with Christmas items but I'm pretty farkin sure your house won't combust if you put turkey gravy in them.

Stupid biznatch.

I told her where we carry the boats. She looked at me like I set a bag of flaming dog poo on her porch and barked "Those are Christmas gravy boats" To which I replied, Oh uh well were you looking for a certain color? To which she replied, Yes, color.

At this point I think I just stared at her. I was drawn in to her *****y stupidity like a moth to a flame.

Luckily a freind of hers walked by so she screeched a hello and I considered myself dismissed.

V, you know what works great for gravy? Put it in a creamer. So much easier to pour without dribbles.

not from me...

i'm not really talking to her right now. dh is in charge of her - and goat knows he doesn't do anything to "punish" her. in fact - he gave up his man cave so she can watch tv - she's been up there just hanging out for the past 2 days and he's been on top of me... he thinks she needs "veg time".

we have an appointment to see a child psychologist - but they couldn't see us until wednesday and dh said no - he wanted to go ahead and leave for his mom's house so he and i don't see the psychologist until NEXT thursday and then after she interviews us THEN she'll schedule dd2...
