So one thing I really miss about my wireless frying is no longer being able to keep up with you all while watching NCIS reruns on the couch, LOL. Not that any are on tonight. I wonder how much the cable lizards would charge to hook up teeny old 1990s TV I have in the office. Maybe I should just get one of those adaptors I never used the government-issued credit for so I can watch the local news in the morning when I wfh. And a network show now and then when I'm e-ing you all.

Although having to plug in has made me start turning the office into a habitable space again and throw lots of stuff out. Maybe I should make telly activation my reward for finishing. If I keep paying things off at current rate, I should be able to take that on by the time the office gets truly cleaned out and everything pitched (March? April?).

I hope they help at least a little to make up for the customers you want to punch in the throat. That's pretty funny there with that guy.

Sister just got a call / message from Delta. Her flight tomorrow is canceled, presumably due to storms pout east.

I was looking forward to Sunday being a "down" day before I go back to work Monday. Looks like her visit will be extended....She needs to call them and see when she can rebook.

I am not surprised. I can't believe DS hit this right between storm systems.

Do you not have Cable at all now? That's expensive, not so much the TV, I mean the TV can be but doesn't have to be. But yeah cleaning things out is nice.

There have been a few NCIS marathons, one was the Dinozzo knows best one.

It was 35 when we went to the airport this morning. Very dark all day. Supposed to be some rain coming, low snow elevations.

Can't tempt you with a ham and mushroom omelet for breakfast tomorrow? LOL...

I did make another pot of cranberry sauce at lunch time yesterday. Debbie and John really like it so I sent the rest of the sauce I made for Christmas home with them. Target marked their cranberries down so I loaded up and I'll freeze a few bags so I can stretch out cranberry season.

Holy cow spaghetti sounds SO good right now. Unless you made it with ham sauce...

Yikes Marge. Rebooking this time of year can get hairy. Although I guess it's always better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than in the air wishing desperately that you were safely on the ground. When I spoke to parents today they said it's pretty hairy in western MA. Lots of snow coming down and very slick and icy.

I know what you mean about looking forward to that down day, though. Do you all get New Year's Day off at least?

I know you'll miss him. The two of you seem to have a very similar calm and kind, quietly but wickedly funny, easy temperament. DD and DH seem very much alike, both super smart, super determined, very funny with that lovely irreverent edge to it and both very intense. But maybe a bit more stubborn about things in both good and bad ways.

I have the rock-bottom cable package for both downstairs telly and the one in my room. I didn't get the DVR since that's another $15/month and the basic package has on-demand free for the networks. So if I sleep through Hawaii Five-O or miss NCIS, I can watch them later. Satellite is about $10-15/month less but doesn't have on demand or several of the channels I like (BBC America, nature channels) that come with cable's cheap-o package. It also doesn't work in storms, and given the number of major thunderstorms we get here in the summer, that's a fair amount of down time. I've been thinking about dropping cable altogether and just getting one of those boxes where you can get Hulu or something over the internet, but I've got the cheap DSL through the phone company rather than the turbo-fast super intense stuff through the cable folks.

I never had cable at all until I got married. I just got the network channels and rented videos (it's been a while...). Of course now I'd need that adaptor thingy I never bought to pick up the signal on vintage small television. I guess even if I dropped $40 on an adaptor it would still be cheaper than hooking extra telly up to cable for a year.

Yeah it's been bad, I know Wed. over 1000 flights were cancelled. I was really concerned about DS's trip. And this next storm is heading up the east coast, I had the weather channel on earlier.

Yes, as PH said, 2 copies of the New York Times... just in case anyone has trouble sleeping, or needs to line a bird cage.

Marge, please tell your sister that your imaginary friends say hello and that we hope she makes it home safely. All these storms suck socks that smell.

Well, good night y'all. I'm going upstairs with John McPhee, the dogs and cat... Hoping I dream about Alaska and not about being followed by pounds of uneaten Christmas ham.

I did write a letter last year, thinking I'd just mail that when the cards didn't happen but the letters never went out either. So I had this whole pile of them and when I weighed the cards, it was no more postage to send both... Plus you know what they say: nothing succeeds like excess...

Yeah I didn't bother sending the letters to Pondies and other stampers, so that I could get them out. Jane's got a letter cos she was in it - although the trip was a short mention.

And of course you all got yours before Christmas, whereas Jane, cos I waited for the letter, just got hers. lol
