Went shopping this morning - Dress Barn, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, JoAnns, and post office.

All at request of sister. The post office was so she could mail her Xmas cards, LOL

i am soooo proud of myself - my craft room looks amazing!!! i'm really getting organized and decluttered...

all that's left is sorting through all my old card kits and getting them all together so that i can actually finish some of those cards and/or putting the pieces back with the cardstock colours.

and then going through several boxes of "memories" - girls' school work and such that i'm planning on scrapping.

this last one will take many hours i'm sure - but i'm hopefully to get through at least 2 boxes this week. dh is home tomorrow so we're going to go do somethign after our hair cuts so tomorrow is shot. and then friday i have a doc appointment to get stitches out and then dd2 has an appointment as well... maybe i'll get a couple of hours in between... we'll see.

and then some time i need to go up to school and make copies for next semester. joys.. i'll probably take a good day at school getting everything together.

nope. just cookies and a little milk. Zach was so funny, he looks at his stuffed stocking, is thrilled by the Legos then looks at the cookie plate and sees bites missing and exclaims "he was here!" those cookie crumbs were what have it away lol

Well yesterday he goes, y'all come pick me up from work tomorrow and let's head to Austin overnight.... Um. We have haircuts scheduled for Thursday... Do you want me to try and change them??? He didn't say anything so I didn't fool with it. And like I'm calling m hair dresser on Christmas to reschedule a haircut.... So this morning ad he's leaving I ask do I need to reschedule the haircuts??? He gives me an eat poop and die look and walks out...

On other news. Dd2 and I are getting along. Which I think is one of the things ticking him off... Lol.
E that's so sad. How hard would it have been to say 'sure, let's reschedule and go!'? It sounds like he takes the least obstacle as some sort of personal attack. And what a horribly sad thing that you and DD2 getting along would make him pissy, not happy. Although I guess you'll have that.

Sounds like you all are having a fun visit! THE HOBBIT!!!! Haven't seen it yet... can't wait to go!

We have a little contract PO across state line--I missed the mailman again on Monday so I drove over there with my box of the last cards to go out and they were CLOSED EARLY!!! Fortunately there were still people inside and proprietor came to the door. They hadn't picked up the mail yet, and all the cards had stamps so he took them and said he'd get them out. I was pathetically grateful!

I think I can relate to your sister, LOL! At least a little!

My little sister in NE PA got out of work early, they let them go at 2:30. Normally it's a 30 minute drive home, the last five or so minutes on streets, the rest on highway. She got to the exit ramp, and it was a hill and backed up and red lights, so she went the other direction and parked at a large post office lot there. Took her an hour to get that far, and she knew the streets were bad by then. So she parked, told the PO people (they said fine) and walked home. It was 2 and a half miles, snowing, then sleeting, and took her an hour and 15 minutes. Holy cow, she was cold and wet and dehydrated... how scary. What a day.

You all be careful out there!!!

Morning! Have bean soup simmering on the stove. I make it once a year, to use the ham bone. Well, twice if I have ham for Easter. Smells good. That'll be lunch today.

We all enjoyed the Hobbit. I didn't realize it was part of a new trilogy, I thought it was a standalone movie. The free tickets from boss worked great -- they were "gold" so any movie, any time.

Thought you'd like that! A crib sheet, foam bath numbers/letter set and an adorable penguin towel/wrap.

Oh fun! My niece has seen it 3 times already, including in IMAX!

That's so nice that he gave you the gold tickets!

I gave my Christmas guests the ham bone--they said they'd make bean soup and give me some back.

LULZ! I'm off to Target in moment too.

I'm always disappointed that they don't have you in the store when I go there, although I imagine the commute would probably wear you out. I keep expecting one day I'll see you around the frozen foods...

Probably too late now, but when you do find V in the store, be sure to ask her where the coconut water is. I understand she LOVES when customers ask her that.

I got a lobstergram in yesterday's mail, along with a couple copies of the New York Times.

Or maybe those were just Jane's annual holiday letter.

Have you heard from her today? I hope conditions have improved a lot since yesterday.

We ended up with about 3" of accumulated mix here - mostly snow, but some sleet, too. This afternoon it warmed up and helped clear off the roads. We didn't bother to shovel the driveway - it ended up clearing itself.

ODS and I went out to Walmart and Martin's after supper. Except for the road we live on, we were on main non-interstate roads, and they were all in really good condition.

ODS and I went out to Walmart and Martin's after supper. Except for the road we live on, we were on main non-interstate roads, and they were all in really good condition.
Yes it stopped snowing by noon and five hours later she was really upset that plows hadn't been down the street yet. Wondered why her taxes went up....

Saw Anna Karenina last night. Sister really wanted to go.

I had read the book (Tolstoy) about 30 years ago, so thought a Russian love story/drama would be OK.

OMG, the director ruined it with his weird staging. Don't waste your money.

Heading off to late breakfast in a few minutes with a lady who used to be a roommate of Sister's in New York, she now lives in the area. Meeting half-way, so a 30 minute drive to go to breakfast

After lunch work friend Judy is coming over to stamp.

Yeah I'm hoping DS doesn't get stuck at Midway.

My baby is gone.
