Lime scented nose balm?

I love your brother!

Oh no Bo. I'm glad she's ok but that doesn't sound like much fun.
Pretty amazing that DD caught the flyer though. That must have taken some serious concentration and fearlessness.

Omigoat. I remember when our tv schedule was:
Monday: Hawaii Five-O
Tuesday: NCIS
Wednesday: Kill terrorist ****ers on the Xbox
Thursday: Kill terrorist ****ers on the Xbox
Friday: Kill terrorist ****ers on the Xbox
Saturday: Kill terrorist ****ers on the Xbox
Sunday: Kill terrorist ****ers on the Xbox
Now I just read if Hawaii Five-O or NCIS aren't on, LOL! No loud BOOMS from the ginormous telly hooked up to sound system with big subwoofer thingies.

OK you know I believe and say prayers. I think prayer can be, for people who believe, a profound and beautiful part of life. But I also think that prayer means the most when it's private. Not everyone believes. I don't see a thing wrong with laws that keep the state or state institutions (you know, like schools?) from sanctioning or promoting a religion.
So AS a believer I have a problem with this. It matters a lot to me to say prayers. But it also matters a lot to me that it always remain voluntary and never compelled. For me it's that freedom from any compulsion that gives prayer its profound meaning and makes it all the more of a gift.

False. I don't understand, but I'm always interested.
Well then...
I learned that at JMU, music and music education majors are required to be in the Marching Royal Dukes. Music majors have a two-year participation minimum; I'm not sure about music ed.
So all ODS needs to do to achieve his goal of being a MRD is to get accepted into JMU, and then into the music program.
Sure. DD gets one of those just about everyday. From everyone. *sigh*
Seriously, for someone so intelligent she can be really dumb. Remind me to share the most recent story about her. Everyone at school calls it a " DD's name moment" when they do something dumb. Its a running joke and I have to admit, I find it hilarious.
Did she ever get it straight about the football special teams?
So what's the most recent story?
And how is she doing after the other cheerleader fell on her?

Crossing my fingers.
I have a feeling that I'm going to enjoy the college hunt process for ODS.
To be honest, I'm not sure who will be more disappointed if ODS doesn't make it into JMU - him or me.
He's made JMU his first choice on his own decision, though. Not mine. And I'm glad of that because of the colleges in Virginia, JMU is known for its excellent programs for both music and education.
Turkey breast
Mashed potatoes and gravy (I add sour cream & cream cheese to mine for extra flavor)
Praline sweet potato casserole
Broccoli and carrots (just steamed so I can eat as much as I want)
Cranberry sauce (jellied, from can, because you have to have it even if no one eats it)
Rolls
Deviled eggs
Jello salad with graham cracker crust
Leona is bringing mango pudding for dessert (it is yummy and a ton of work), and her Dad is making red bean paste pastries from scratch (like a dessert cookie thing - he knows I love them). Debating if I should also have a pie. Steve doesn't like pumpkin so would need to be something else.

Sweet potato pie, since Steve doesn't like pumpkin.
That's something my sister hasn't been able to live down. Years ago, when we were all kids, she was over at my grandparents' house. I'm not sure where the rest of us were. Anyway, my sister liked pumpkin pie, but the idea of sweet potato pie put her off. Grandma had made a sweet potato pie. She knew that my sister wasn't keen on the idea of it, so she told my sister it was pumpkin pie. My sister ate it... then at home, she told Mom, "Grandma's pumpkin pie is better than yours." LOL

Hmmmm....no....he won't eat sweet potatoes. I'm doing the sweet potato casserole mostly for me, Leona and her Dad -- we all love them.

Busy afternoon. First Costco, with DH and DS (DS drove). We had lunch then did some shopping. It was fairly quiet there.
Chatted briefly with another guy looking at the pile of Jack Reacher books.
Then dropped a few things at the local thrift shop, then a quick stop at the library. Then to Target.
Ther'es new ones out there I havent' read! but I'm too cheap to care LOL
Good morning. Kids stayed up til almost eleven so slept in and I got some decent sleep. I work 12-3 and 6-10:30 today. I've already showered and will slowly get ready I suppose.
I'd rather curl on the couch and read.

Yeah I hit the library for the ones you didn't give me!

I need some sort of pre-dinner nibbles.
They did a thanksgiving meal at WW and had some of these things on it. The total was 83 points.
Mine will be turkey (I'll have white meat), mashed potatoes, skip the butter, add cooked carrots at the mashing stage, stuffing, maybe a baked sweet potato (nothing added), jellied cranberry sauce, lol, yes I eat it, not a lot, but I do like a little on my turkey! It's actually pretty light in calories and I've been doing it this way for years.
For pre-dinner nibbles, how about a nice vegetable tray? Or shrimp and cocktail sauce? Both are pretty light.
I got a pumpkin cheesecake at Costco but will only have a silver of it.
