Oh yeah. Last night it crashed. But we were able to get it back this morning.

And now the kids and I are at Mom and Dad's.

YDS just may have inherited my smarse gene. We had a conversation earlier that went like this:

YDS: So back in the olden days when you were a kid, did you have "Rock, Paper, Scissors"?
Me: No. We had "Rock, Rock, Rock".

ha ha ha, PH, we used to tease my mom about how hard it must have been to get around before the wheel was invented. Man we made so many really bad jokes!

Well I hope the Eagles are able to make a comeback and win the game. They got off to such an awesome start. But it's late here and I'm too tired to want to watch the rest of the game.
And I have to say I was disappointed when I realized the announcers were saying "Eagles" and not "Seagulls". Wouldn't the latter seem much more appropriate for a school on the Gulf Coast? LOL

Yeah I'd love to see the Eagles win, but the Gators seem to be holding a pretty steady 10 point lead.

Duke did manage to win, that was close at times. They're the only ACC team left in the NCAA tournament, and Maryland is the only ACC team left in the NIT - they made it to the Final Four in the NIT. I notice OSU is also still in the NCAA, only checked because some day I might have a kid there. lol

But then they'd have "Bay Gulls" for any team on a bay.

One of my stamping friends recommended Game of Thrones. I'm on the second one now and can't stop reading. Washington Post had a great review of season 3 yesterday that made me want to buy the DVDs--since I don't pay for HBO I don't mind splurging for something like that now and then, especially since friends and I wind up passing movies and stuff around.

It's been such a great week that last night at Target I bought about 12 bags of those Cadbury mini-eggs. Didn't even wait for them to get marked down Sunday. I'm up 2 lbs. I haven't checked my blood sugar all week. I think I'm just a little stressed out, LOL...

For the record 8 or 9 of the bags were those little 69-cent ones.

I was young enough then that I remember the paint-by-number picture more than decorating the eggs, LOL. (It was a tiger.) I couldn't have been more than 5 years old.

But my mom saved those egg shells, packed them up carefully, and put them out for Easter each year as my sisters and I were growing up. I honestly think she still has some of them. They'd be about 40 years old.
She has them out for display again this year.

Aside from a few days ago buying the stuff the EB will bring I haven't bought any Easter candy. In previous years I easily would have bought and consumed 8 bags of stuff or so. I LOVE the chicks and bunnies that are like circus peanuts. Five bags easily right there. Love jelly beans. Love Robins eggs. Therefore I didn't buy a single thing.

Cruise Trena is going to a few of these cool "Create" classes in August. Location is less than 10 minutes from my house.

Trying to decide if I want to take some. Not cheap (either the class fee or the supplies). But I might learn something...

My parents' kitchen faucet is dripping, so DH was trying to figure out a fix. He asked Dad if he had any plumbers' tape.
YDS asked, "Is that what they use to fix plumbers' crack?"

I don't think we've decided yet between the small piece of ham I got, and going for pizza, our favorite place has a special on Easter. I'm surprised so many places are open!

I used to buy stuff ahead of time and then have to buy it again. As it was, I did get some stuff but not too much, and very limited. No chocolate!

I had fun last night--took dinner up to our friend with ruptured appendix and his best friend stopped by to eat supper with us. First season of Game of Thrones was pretty reasonable at Target and I loved the book so I took the series up and we watched the first one after dinner. Friend is diabetic on top of being on restricted diet to prep for surgery so I took my PC pizza stone up and made oven baked fried chicken, whole wheat penne and stir fry broccoli for him. His BFF refused to eat the broccoli but otherwise BFF was VERY glad to see friend wolfing down seconds after losing so much weight in the hospital. I have to admit I was gratified too. I cooked double portion so friend has lots of homemade leftovers at least.

Game of Thrones is definitely NOT a feminist series at all: that whole medieval approach of women as wenches and objects. Pretty degrading. It made me VERY glad to live in 21st century US. I know we need to keep fighting but still seeing how women were regarded as objects for most of history made me very much appreciate the modern world. Beautifully, beautifully filmed though and definitely a mile-a-minute story. My paddling buddy Charlie read all the books and his nutshell review was 'Lord of the Rings without the spirituality.'
