Not that I'm trying to answer your question to Amber, just thought I'd toss in my own experience! lol

The restrooms are down the hall, on the right.
(ha ha - can you tell I've had to give directions to them?)
I'd say it's at least a 50 foot walk from the auditorium doors to the restrooms.

IMO our auditorium is really small, especially for a high school. We hosted the All-County Bands this year. The middle school band had about 105 students, and they had a hard time fitting them all on the stage. Audience members were lining the walls because there weren't enough seats.

The auditorium was renovated a few years ago... I guess when ODS was in 8th grade. The biggest extent of the renovations were painting the walls and replacing the wooden seats with cushioned ones. Seriously.

I guess it could be a device vs. a PC. I don't know for sure. I hadn't thought about that. I just know it's easier for me to post things, comment on blogs, etc. from my PC than from the iPad or iPhone.

Ha ha ha - I just tested it out by deliberately misspelling "definitely" and here's the autocorrect progression on my iPhone (it starts giving suggestions before you finish typing the word):

defina -> Regina
definat -> defiant
definate -> detonate
definatel -> definitely
definately -> definitely

Or are you concerned that she could get injured again?

I'm just trying to understand why you're reluctant to have her play soccer again.
She has played on the high school team for the last two years(7th and 8th grade) on the JV team. I expect her to play both JV and Varsity next year, though as a freshman she would only get a short amount of Varsity play time.

It does overlap with cheerleading as she will be cheering for football during the soccer season. It is incredibly difficult to participate in both, though both coaches say they will work with the girls who do both(currently four, which is totally unheard of it. Its usually 0 or 1). Soccer is basically six days per week. Two hour practice on days that don't have games. Away games put her home around 11-12 and home games she can get in around 9 or so. Cheer practice would be two days per week(in evenings, while soccer is directly after school-so she attends both) with gymnastics one additional day and football games on Friday nights.

I do worry about injury but it isn't my primary concern.

My primary concern is time and money. Its expensive to do one sport, let alone two. And I really don't think a person can give two sports 100% simulateously. I just don't. She also needs to keep her grades at a 4.0, which has never been a problem before, but I anticipate high school requiring a little more outside of class work. She also needs to be a part of clubs in order to be well rounded and those have attendance requirements and responsibilities too. Basically...she just can't do it all and do it all well. I think its time to make some priorities rather than doing everything.

Yesterday when I was typing a text I used the word "deceit" but I had spelled it incorrectly while typing and it autocorrected to "sexual". Coicidence? I think not. LOL

Last night my brother was looking at old pics and found a beautiful pic of our mom, I assume from the 60's. She's got that really tall hair looking hair do and is wear a white dress, sleeveless with a fitted top and a poofy bottom and white pumps. Anyway, he just happened to turn the pic over and you can see that she kissed the back of it. Its got a lipstick print on it. How awesome is that?

I pulled out some old pics today too that I don't think I've looked at for years. There were several in there from my wedding. There's a picture of my mom and I looking into a mirror and shes talking to me and the person who took the photo took it from behind so neither of us knew it was happening. I can remember exactly what he was saying to me when we were standing there. So crazy.

Definiately not.

Didn't marry dad until 1980.

Well we do have cushy seats but it's small - especially when you consider there are 2800 kids.

My kids told me that when they do registration, and they assign kids with last name letters to certain areas, there are a few Asian last names that are so common, they get sent to the auditorium!

I went to WW today, hadn't been in a couple weeks. I was down 2.8 and surprised. I thought I'd just been maintaining. I still have some to lose, so this is motivating.

That black glass building in the photo is where I work, on the 4th floor.

They will be looking for synergies and to cut cost. But first they need FTC approval on the deal. I think my department is pretty secure, we are the growth area.
Wow Marge! Exciting and somewhat intimidating at the same time I guess.

Does this mean you'll get a bigger rubber band ball in front of your office? I'm very infatuated with the one you've got out there already!

That sounds really fair, Bo.

It's got to be hard to balance wanting one of your children to enjoy those opportunities but still need to balance finite resources--not just expenses but time. On the other hand asking her to participate in making a realistic decision is probably about the best preparation for adulthood anyone could have.

Every time I try to type 'autocorrect' on my phone, the phone changes it to 'autocrat.' Which come to think of it...
