i have a pair of them and thermalo (i think that's what theyr'e called).

i fought it at first because i hate socks... but i've gotten to where i can't wear shoes without them now. so i'm always in my running shoes.... i'll have nice dress pants on and tennis shoes...

i probably could wear dress shoes - but i suffer too much the next day - im on my feet way tooooo much at work. it's just easier to wear my runners.

so dd1 is trying out for the high school dance team in 2 weeks. we went to a clinic tonight to help her on her leaps and turns since she hasn't danced in a year with cheer.

watching that girl dance just gives me chills.

she started off like a little seedling... hunkered down and slouchy....

then as she started feeling the beat again - she straighted up, sprouted her wings and just started glowing. you could just feel the music in her soul.

she said when she got out of class taht - wow mom, i've really missed dance. why did you let me take a year off....

(no i didn't kill her).

but i tell you - i'll never let her quit dance again. i love watching her dance. there is just so much joy and happiness that comes from her spirit.

she's not the best dancer i've ever seen - she's good don't get me wrong - but she just makes you feel it. and i love watching her.

kind of like when dd2 plays piano. she's amazing how she feels the music too...

V, I emailed DD to expect a friend request from you - in case she didn't recognize the name.

So tomorrow I think I'll apply at AT&T. They have a sort of hub position in the stores. Like part key holder part receptionist part sales. Keeps the store flowing. We'll see if it works out.

By the way, SHARKS WON!

Seven wins to start the season, followed by seven losses. Sheesh. We'll lose Friday as the refs have already declared the Blackhawks the Cup winners.

When I have episodes of that nature I like to take the dogs out late at night and release them facing dog-hating neighbors' house in order to fulfill the Word of Monty Python. I'm very quiet about it but it's just really cheers me up.

I'm sooooo not in the mood to go into work right now. Oh well. I made so much progress on my few days off and got taxes done. I really want to stay here for another couple of weeks, finish up, paint the living room... I guess all things in time and I kind of ran out of it by succumbing to the lure of the evil nap a couple of days.

Sometimes being a grownup kind of sucks, LOL.

We are in the process of pushing for DD to not play soccer next year in high school. I don't want to make the decision for her, but I'm really pushing her to make it for herself. I know its best, but I also know this is the beginning of the end of her childhood years and there is no going back to do things you wish you had done. KWIM?

That's more snow that we got yesterday morning. I'm a tad bit jealous!

Rhetorical question:
Why do people mix up the words "definitely" and "defiantly"?

In the past month, I've seen at least 4 different people, posting on Facebook or elsewhere online, write "defiantly" when context clues suggest they mean "definitely". (For example: "The sweatshirt I ordered online came in today's mail. I'm SO happy! I defiantly LOVE it SO MUCH!")

One of my FB friends does this frequently... in fact, I don't think I've ever seen her correctly use the word "definitely". (She's a local person, nobody y'all know.)
