The mental picture of Pete escaping made me laugh. I am so glad he is doing well.
It was hilarious Laura!!! He is a dairy breed, so he has to have a choke chain on. Well we put it on by just slipping it over his head. WELL he slipped it and was going through the goats that were on deck to go in for the next class.

Carp, this almost trumps late movers. Ppb has been dumped yet again by bf and is now staying here. Yep, supposedly this happened last week but that "was just a fight" according to her. Dad talked to her about the rules. She is already being a b-word so I don't expect things to improve once I start having expectations of her. She is not a houseguest and will be fully expected to participate in chores. Any bets on how that will play out? Sucker bet, really. Come on October. I hate to wish my life away but I just want to know she's going to stop with this pinball routine so we can clean that room out and have a guest room that is painted and purty. Not to mention, a home that doesn't cause me to have stressed out feelings just being here.
This makes the 3rd time he's broken up with her if you don't count the first time when she broke up with him. So perhaps she doesn't need to be so stinking defensive when I say they've been going back and forth for a while now. Too bad, I like him way more than I like her at this point. I truly hope the military a) keeps her regardless of her attitude and apparent work ethic, and b) helps her change into a person of substance and character instead of the Kim Kardashian wannabe that she is.

Laura, I am VERY familiar with your mover, or at least some of his inbred relatives. Honestly, I have bite marks on my tongue from NOT saying what I really think when some of these folks get rambling on and over sharing. Did I mention the guy that is on disability for sleep apnea and went on and on about how great he is at online gambling? Am I REALLY supporting this man and a million others like him with my hard earned taxes? Oops, step OFF the soapbox, missy.

Emma, she convinces them all that living here is beastly. I truly hope they figure out she's full of carp and is using them. Don't know if you remember when she told 2nd bf's family that we kicked her out and they took pity on her and gave her a room? He finally found out that was a lie when he brought it up to DH, who was fairly shocked that she would outright lie at that time. She just doesn't like having rules and responsibilities here, and particularly dislikes that we don't treat her like the princess she is. As far as I know the first one she moved in with was too much a gentleman to take advantage of her proximity and the second one was just a bff for quite a while. I don't pretend to understand her or her manipulations. I do know that it makes ME crazy to be around someone like that. I am sooooo getting that sewing machine. I think I'll get it in October to celebrate since we are broke as can be this month and next unless work picks up.

We(okay, not me) are painting the house GREEN. Mid range between Avocado and Certainly Celery which doesn't sound as lovely as it is. Barely off white trim with plans to do the front door darker green. I'm excited. It should be nice and is certainly more interesting than beige again. We have done green on a house before and really liked it so hopefully we will like this one.
I'm dusting blinds which is not helping the cough. Back at my chores for a bit, then off to see the lawyer.
It's pretty hot out there, hope the movers are moving and shaking along.
