I've got to pick up Morgan in an hour and a half. I should go make some sugar scrubs before then and put together the fruit kabobs for Carter's party this afternoon.

Fruit Kabobs done. Please note that mandarin oranges are not a good choice for fruit kabobs. They aren't sturdy enough.

Oh, I finished designing Jay's book this morning. I'll print and bind it today.
I went with you for Y and zipped for Z. Zipped because my Dh is very good about keeping secrets and keeping our private life private! You because he's everything I could ask for in a husband.
Now I just hope he likes it and doesn't thing it's hokey or I'll have to make myself a widow before the new year!

And an update on Jacob... he's going home tomorrow! He will have to be isolated for six weeks but he gets to go home! Plus, two of the Red Wings, Kris Draper and Jimmy Howard, stopped by Mott's to visit kids (all on their own) and they gave him some different things and a signed mini-hockey stick. Pretty cool guys.

Lorien, how did you do the fruit kabobs? Are they dipped in anything? Sounds like an idea I may use for my breakfast club Christmas dinner tonight.
By the way, I totally forgot to do the cards for my club girls last night. Sigh... I may be able to pound them out tonight before the dinner!
No dip for these, but I did see dip recipes online. I just layered watermelon, grapes, pineapple, a mandarin orange, green melon, and a marichino cherry on a plastic drink stirrer. I thought those might be safer than the wooden squewers (sp?).

I finished the mint sugar scrub. That was easy. I wish I would've printed out notes to go with them explaining what it was before I was done at work. Brown sugar vanilla scrub is next.
Gotta go pick up Morgan.

I was just looking at the recipe for these melting moments cookies I am going to make. They call for 2 CUPS of butter. That is 4 sticks. Is that like a heart attack in a cookie or what?

I did it! I painted the entire living room in one day. All done, just finished! But whew! I'm tired.

It's true. I know people who got sick just from using tap water to brush their teeth. It's because our bodies are not used to the microbes. I took pepto bismol chewables every day for a few days before I left and every day I was in Mexico and I didn't drink any water that didn't come in a sealed bottle. I still got a little sick just from swallowing some of the spray from our jet-ski expedition on the inland waterway. Thankfully, it was literally just a little upset tummy and a couple of loose stools. Not the full monty!

Job update: That company decided to retain the temp contractor they had hired. I'm not surprised by it. It's exactly what I had anticipated once I found out they had hired a temp person. Oh well. Onto the next thing.
