Wow, it is the "Q" word today. I'm thinking nobody wants to put up with the slowness. Dianna, long story. We changed threads to avoid the word games so the folks at work that were blocked could chat. Then some in the every day chit chat thread didn't like that we were chit chatting every day. Call me crazy but it seemed a good spot to me. A lovely moderator (not Lorien) made a separate area for us "chit chatters" that were annoying them (or possiblly just her.) So it took a loooooong time to get to the end of thread 40.
I do have a Scor Pal, want the travel version and have not seen the MS version but I'm sure it's great and that's a steal. Whatever works for you is a winner.
Why would they care? I mean if we're in our own thread? Whateve, some people always gotta have something to gripe about. Not me, I love it when there are NO gripes, that means life is GOOD!!! Today, life is GOOOUUUUDDD!! Heeheeheee.......I am HOME and all ALONE!!! People say, what are you going to do with your time off and I say WHATEVER IIIIIII WANT!
I'm not too familiar with them.........I used Debras at camp/class and one at the Mingle I think. Eh, for $15 I'll play with it, if I find something diff/btr along the way, well, I'll collect another, HA! Justification of buying/collecting stamping gear is SOOOO easy!
I just finished an hour nap, lovely. All the windows are open, and life is good. Lots of boats on the water and I'm toasting up some corn dog nuggets for lunch. Who could ask for anything more?
DM, sorry you couldn't sleep. DH and I say "well, we'll sleep when we die" but we don't get migraines. Hang in there. Is there something going on that you can't relax about? I know that's when I get sleepless. Sometimes I write everything down that I want to do the next day, before bed, so I don't worry about forgetting something the next day. I even keep a tablet and pen next to the bed to jot things down if I think of it and want to let it go so I can relax enough to go back to sleep.
This can't be said delicately but the hormones released during, um.... cuddling, are good for sleep (and everything else) and I suspect most husbands wouldn't object to be awakened for that.
Warm bath in the evening, fan for white noise, make sure you room is cool and dark enough? All that stuff they recommend in the can't sleep articles can't hurt.
Nuggets just dinged, mmmm. I'll be back.

Lisa- I have tried EVERYTHING! I always have to have noise to sleep so some things always going! And nothing more then everyday normal crap going through my head!
Doesnt help that hubby hates his job and gripes everyday about it! I hate seeing him so unhappy but at this point I am glad he has a job!
Hang in there DM, maybe it's a side effect of the shots. They use steroids? That can upset sleep. Have a nice nap, hope it refreshes you. REALLY leaving now.

I have a the scor-pal and the scor bubby! LOVE THEM both! I had them before Martha came out with hers!
What is a scor bubby? Do you use yours to make envelopes at all? Not that I'll ever have the time but I'd like to make some that are decorative, kinda you know for those hand over, not mailed gifted ones. That is why I thought I'd grab it, it was cheap, for MS for sure!

You just can't catch a break can you? Poor thing. I can't imagine what it's like to not sleep, though I've been there for a day or two, never nights on end. How long has this been going on?

Scor buddy is the small version of the scor pal! For cards mostly! And it has smaller increments then the pal!
I dont make my own envies! My scor pal I use as my work station!

Thanks lisa- yes they use cortisone and some lidocaine I believe!

Shari, good luck, I hope you love the pediatrician.
Leslie, I'm sorry you're feeling down. I think you should get out your scrapbooking stuff if it will make you feel better.
I know it will. It's my stress-relief. I figure it's best to not rush anything and get my stuff out. The Fall/ cold weather is approaching and I'm not taking any classes this semester, so what else am I going to do? I want to dive more into charitible work, too.

Leslie ~ YES, get some of it out of storage! I'd be going crazy by now! I hated it when all my stuff was packed away and I couldn't do anything. I kept wanting to buy just to get my fix!
Lisa ~ So sorry work is stressing you out. Surprisingly I haven't pulled my hair out lately.
I forgot what else I was going to say. I'm really a bit brain dead this morning...and now it's lunchtime.
I sat for another hour with that chick that was driving me bonkers, causing me to change my Mingler name. I think she gets it now. She actually took notes this time and I think she listened to what I was trying to tell her (like the process and policy). Contrast with the last time I sat with her where she seemed very focused on what she wanted to tell me (about the details of the program)....even though I kept repeating that I'm not a meeting planner.
It's funny, but I haven't been to ANY store that sells scrapbooking supplies. It's like I'm on punishment. I need the stress relief. I miss it.
The cutting paper, indecisiveness on what colors to go where, buying new papers- even though I already have 10 tons, learning new stuff, etc. It's driving me insane!!!!
It's so nice to be alone. I did get the "If you get a burst of energy while we are gone you could shake out the rugs and sweep the floor." Ugh! May as well do that so I won't have to hear about it later.

When is the next Mingler?!?!
We really want you to plan for your glue useage ahead of time, hahaha!!
I guess things haven't been moving so fast with the house? I haven't been around much and you're probably gone......just trying to catch up!
Nah, not so fast. I have to admit that I'm a little discouraged because of what happened and I really don't want to deal with a mortgage broker. If things aren't going smoothly, am I going to encounter another rude broker? Or, if things DO go smoothly, am I going to have a broker who's only nice because they're going to get their cut? Ugh!
I'm just going to take a little more time. Still have money saving up, but not so much in a rush or denying myself certain things again......like scrapbooking supplies!!!!!!

SO.......Chris said to me one morning while we were getting ready for work and I appeared to be done......."it'd really help me out if you could.........." this is what I do every morning. At first, I was like, yeah, sure. It consisted of adjusting the thermostat, making sure my cat was out of his "magic" room so he can shut the door to set the alarm, shutting windows if opened, and I think that was it. The other day I said, "it'd really help me out if you'd do......."!!! And I love it when they say that to you too.......if you get a burt of energy, bored, etc. UM, NOPE, pretty sure I won't but thanks for the options.........certainly I couldn't come up with something of my own mind to do if I were to in fact get a burst of energy or bored! Men, hehehe!!!
As for the glue? I'm thinking of investing in an ATG. At the Mingle, the ladies were ooh-ing and aah-ing over them, so I'm thinking of seriously getting one to celebrate my stuff getting out of storage!

Yeah, it's never an easy process. Are you sticking with the original house or have you been looking again? My friend found a house, loved it, made an offer and they just did the inspection...............came back HORRIBLE!! He is so devastated. Appears the sellers weren't exactly "honest" about the ages of items like furnance/AC and updates to the house, the chimeny needed repairing or tore out and a whole new one put in!! They decided AGAINST that home. Before that he'd gotten the draft settlement statement and had to ask his broker about the fees, silly, the guy works for a bank and actually CAME from our mortgage area. When he found out what the fees were and how illegit they were, he was furious with that broker!! So, I guess it worked out for the best for him.

You can go for me then. I am done burned out on school!
YES, and ATG is AWESOME, cheaper, and you won't run outta glue, hehehe!! At least not any time soon, that is for sure! You can bling it up too, some here have and I'd really like to do that to mine......someday! I'll have to put Chris on that task, he is good at the spray paint!
