Morning all! Just waiting for the Birthday Girl to wake up
Are you exhausted after all the fun over the w/end, Lorien? Nice to have you back. I don't think you missed much. Shari got her 2 loft beds from CL and the youngest actually slept in hers! Joyce worked an auction in Clio. Jill wasn't in Clio she was at her niece's shower near Portage but didn't see Debra who went to Hali's family's church and out for lunch to celebrate Dave's birthday, they've set a month and year for their wedding, June 2012. Micki's car broke down and Lex has a fever, Maria's inlaws are in town, Laura cleaned her kitchen, Dianna's getting a puppy, Lisa H worked, Dawn marie's in a lot of pain from her back and is suffering from insomnia, Cathy ran on the sweatiest day of the year so far and beat Kim to 9,000 posts, Moe had friends round for a bbq, Patty was bored and I think that might just be your lot!

Well, you did ask!!!
Whew! Great recap, Emma! I don't know if Lorien appreciated it but I do!
Emma, that's a good recap in a nutshell. I don't think you missed a thing. Did you read back or remember everything? If that was from memory, I'm impressed and going to get my brain checked. Reminds me, need to schedule my mammogram. How's Elaine?

I sorted pictures this morning. I hate that, when you order them, they don't come in order. Snapfish actually puts the picture number (like from your camera) on the back and I love that. Everyone else just prints them and shoves them in an envelope! What a job to go back through and put them in order! Yikes!
Back when I was waiting tables we would get groups of teens with a birthday girl they had kidnapped from bed. Poor things came in for breadfast in their jammies, unbrushed teeth and hair and a pillowcase over their heads. Hope that fad died out. I'm sure they thought it was fun but if someone did that to me now, I'd be on trial for homocide.

All from memory, Lisa I must eat a lot of fish!
Elaine is positive 95% of the time, but gets a bit 'wobbly' sometimes. Sue and I are taking her to the Surgeon tomorrow afternoon and she says she'll be better when she knows what the plan is after her appt. She really doesn't know if it will be a lumpectomy, mastectomy, chemo, radiation, how aggressive the tumour is, whether it's mastecised. You get the drill.
Time for dessert. It's going to be one of THOSE days. I am having a salad for lunch. I prefer to get the bulk of my calories early, DH skips breadfast and wants a big dinner. Hope we can be more on the same schedule when we are older geezers.

I can hear the birthday girl moving around up there. I wonder if I should throw a pillowcae over her head and take her to breakfast ... bwahahahaha! Oh my. she'd kill me!
Emma, I hope things go well for Elaine. That she is 95% positive is amazing! I mean, that's a scary thing and I'd expect to be shaky about the whole thing! Praying she gets a good report and that things go smoothly!

Thanks Cathy- its REALLY getting old! I dont know how Roy lives like this! I know he doesnt get the migraines, but the insomnia is enough to want to sleep or die!LOL
I hate it! Yesterday I was up until 4:30 and the day before it was 5:30!
My whole family, except for Jay, suffers from insomnia. Not all the time but it's not unusual for any one of us to just not be able to sleep. But we don't have the migraine issues with it (well, Eric might but he doesn't eat well either-just generally doesn't take good care of himself) and we manage. I'm so sorry that yours causes the additional problems and that you have the other issues with it!{{{hugs}}}

Can ya'll tell I'm not a baker...hmpf. I'm trying...
LOL! Yes, I'm sure they told you that mace is a spice! And 'dry milk' is powdered milk. Hope you got your recipes all figured out!

OH MY GOODNESS! What a stinkin' awesome night! The big secret was, Ilo Ferreira was playing at a private party at a restaurant just down the road from me. Yesterday, when I found out about it, I called the restaurant and they had no idea what I was talking about, so I called Ilo's booking manager! Yes, I actually looked up the manager's info. He told me he was playing for a private party, so it wasn't open to the public. After I hung up with him, I called the restaurant, and made a dinner reservation! There was NO way I was going to let Ilo be 2 miles from me, and not see him! Tonight, when we arrived, the parking lot was JAMMED and we had to park in the McDonald's lot and walk. When we got to our seats, we could hear some live music, so I went to check it out, and the "greeters" said I had to have an invite, or my name had to be on the list. Well, I still didn't know if Ilo was in there. I went back to my seat & as a woman from the party walked by, I asked if Ilo was in there. She couldn't believe I knew who he was, because nobody else did. She took off her name tag and gave it to me, so I marched my butt into the room like I was suppose to be there! To make a long story short, I met Ilo! He even wanted to hug me, because he was so grateful for my being there. I got a few pictures, he signed my cd cover, and I went back to my table to eat. As the party was breaking up, we went back to the party so I could say good bye. Took a few more pictures, that turned out like crap. Then Ilo grabbed both my hands and said, "Thank you so much, Michele," in his awesome Portuguese accent! He remembered my name! He is such a delight! My hands smell like Ilo, and let me tell you, it's pretty darn nice smellin'!
i am such a happy girl!
Awww.... I'm so happy for you, Sis! I've heard you talk about him before. Very, very cool!

What a sweet lady!

The Baseball Field all flood lit, the Fisher Building. Wow, it is truly a beautiful City at night ... boats on the river all lit up too ... wow. What a great evening!
Sounds lovely, Emma!

Buttermilk is great in pancakes! And, search online for buttermilk bread recipes. And any kind of powdered milk will work.

Banana splits ~ yay! Pony DID get to see her famous person (Ilo something or other). Turns out he's only really famous if you're a Buffet super-fan!!!!

And rightfully so. She could use the classic Texas defense. "Your honor, she just needed killin" Maybe Karen can confirm if that defense still flies there!

I thought I recognized the name! We had an article in our local paper - a two-parter - about Ryan and his mission in Costa Rica. His brother is a local police chief here. We are one of their supporting churches.
