Maddie had her first day of pom pon tryouts today. It went well. There were 31 girls there. Last year there were 14 on the team. They didn't say how many will be on the team this year. Could be more or less. They score them and where the biggest break point is in scores that is how they figure it. The higher scores make the team and the lower ones do not.
They were impressed with Maddie's toe touch. She got a high-five from the coach.
Part of me wants her to make it and the other part doesn't. If she does this, she won't be able to do soccer and I know she is good at that and enjoys it. IF she makes the pom pon team they start practices right away so she will miss all of her soccer practices this spring.

Patty-Great cards!!! Love the one with the bottle cap!!! I will be saving it to favorites! Hope work goes well tomorrow.
DM-very cute, are all of the animals "punch art"???And you have to make 65???? Whoa!
Cathy-scary stuff! Hope all of your friends are safe and sound. I have a friend not far from Boston. She said people are having a hard time getting out of the area what with streets being shut down. And some cars are stuck in hotel parking that is closed off. Their news is stating 3 dead and at least 130 hurt. What a mess and so tragic.
Extra prayers tonight.
Off to watch Castle. Good night....
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
Yes its punch art and I have to make 65! I know I am crazy! But for all they do for so many kids! They put a ton of hours into my kids education (which I couldnt do) so its just a little thing in the grand scheme of things!
Appt went well. U of M is a beautiful medical campus.
The doctor has a great personality... Tactful but truthful... Funny but able to communicate well. We knew 2 of 4 heart Valves are not functioning.
Found out today it's 3 of 4. 2 to be repaired, 1 to be replaced
Surgery set for Friday, June 21st...
So many details, not sure what ya wanna know
He will have to come stay at our house after release from hospital... SO that's a little stressful, but he can't be alone (obviously) and can't drive, so I'll need to take him to Dialysis 3 days a week.
Say a prayer that my work will be cool with me taking 6 weeks off
Moe, huge hugs to you and your Dad. I hope your work cooperates. You are a good woman for putting family first. Any chance your Dad could go to rehab from the hospital if they aren't okay with it? They could arrange for dialysis, you could visit before or after work? Just a thought. I'm sure he'd rather have you care for him.
Great cards but it does look like a lot of work. Good thing DM has 3 helpers to punch things out.
I hear rain, guess I won't dawdle here. I open today and tomorrow but I do like getting off in the early afternoon. Safe travels to all.
In honor of my friend Patty's Mom and mine. "Be good and have fun. If it comes to a choice... BE GOOD.
Busy day yesterday. Podiatrist was nice. X-rayed my foot and found a massive heel spur. He kept saying, "those are really painful!". Yeah, I know! . He gave me some inserts for my shoes and some prescription anti-inflammatories. We'll see in 30 days. If not resolved, might need surgery. Glad I have some answers now and hopefully can start healing.
Moe, glad things went well with your Dad. Scary that he has so much blockage! Hope your work will be terrific about your time off.
Patty, beautiful jobs on the cards! Wow!
I can't imagine those that were injured...losing limbs. Wow.
