You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
Do you guys remember me telling you awhile back that Jack's job was not in a good position because of his boss? And then he got another boss and things didn't really improve because the 1st boss wasn't really out of the picture? Well, now he has even another boss. Finally someone that gets what is going on. Jack had his performance review and got the 'above and beyond' rating. The highest one can possibly go. He (we) are so relieved.
I took the boys to school and then went shopping with my mom. I was determined to find jeans and I couldn't find anything. Just as I was about to give up, my mom suggested trying a different brand and low and behold, I found jeans! Then, I got caught up in my excitement and bought a dress, three belts and some new jewelry. The jewelry was on SUPER clearance. I don't mind buying costume jewelry that's marked down 70-80%!
Congrats on the bargains Pony. I can't find any jeans that fit me right. Perhaps if I spent a little more money on them, I could maybe find something. But I'm too cheap!
I'll admit, I'm pretty darn cheap when it comes to buying clothes. I don't know why. I know darn well, the better quality clothes are worth paying for. Today, I couldn't find any Lee jeans in my size and I was rather ticked off. My mom suggested trying a brand I hadn't tried yet. I found a lonely rack of Chaps jeans and decided to give them a whirl. They are normally $58, so this isn't something I would consider. (I like my $24.99 Lee jeans.) Well, after I tried them on, I fell in love! They fit and they weren't too long. I decided I was going to act like a big girl and just buy them. When I got to the register, they were on sale, plus I had a 20% off coupon. (The rack didn't have a sale sign.) So, I got a good deal and I have nice good fitting jeans.
Also, I picked up some really cool jewelry. A necklace & earrings at 70% off and a pair of sterling silver earrings at 80% off! Plus, I earned Kohl's cash!
Caught up, guess I'll go stare at the Mister and find some dinner. I cooked lots of stuff yesterday.
Half day tomorrow. Maybe I'll go pick out new glasses after work.
My jeans haven't fit since the first Mingle and I refuse to buy bigger ones so I haven't worn jeans in a very long time. Ridiculous, I need to get back into them. Congrats on being giddy about new jeans, new phones, etc.
Whoever sent that package to Emma, you rock!
In honor of my friend Patty's Mom and mine. "Be good and have fun. If it comes to a choice... BE GOOD.
We're having breakfast for dinner. I had already decided I wanted to make pancakes. Then, we went to Sam's Club and they had samples of sausage links. E walked up to the person stocking the 'fridge and told her we needed a container. So, I bought an economy size container of turkey sausage!

Woohoooo for the smart phone, Barb! I am still learning how to use mine.
And thanks everyone about Jack. He can finally relax some. The past few years have been tense about his job. Always watching what he says, does, how he says or does what he does. Truly is a huge relief.
