I've been blessed with great roomies, too! I'll sure miss Laura this year. She is the one I laid awake talking to. Now I'll have to talk to myself since Moe and Kim both have much more endurance than I do!

One of my coworker's daughters is a nurse. A few months ago she had blood squirt in her eye from a patient. The patient's chart said they were HIV positive and had Hepatitis C. They said the HIV was not active, whatever that means, and so far her tests for Hep C are negative. How scary. Maybe nurses need to start wearing goggles.
They wear full face sheilds at dialysis
looks funny the first few times i saw them
but with your story, i can see why it's necessary

I have a card in my head. I just can't get it to develop into a real card. I really wish I could step out of the symmetrical and square box that my crafty mind lives in!
I do have some super cute matchy-matchy luggage! Too bad I only need a weekend's worth of clothes.
We just have to kidnap you and take you on a longer trip. Ha!

That is one of the reasons I wear glasses even though I only need them a small part of the time. I have been squirted and splashed, but luckily not like that. Yep, it's a scary profession. Add the potential violence and in the ER the extra opportunity for WMD exposure, it's a wonder we do it.
I was right, there was a nap in my future. Now it's in my past.

Our sump pump just blew up! I have my own personal geyser! I called J and he's coming home early. I unplugged the darn thing for now, but now I have to keep an eye on the water level in the sump pump, according to J. Now what! If the water rises tot he top, plugging the pump in isn't going to do any good. And I'm sorry, but I am NOT going to reach into that deep, dark pit and start taking buckets of water out.

Oh, no! That is NOT cool!

I went to pick up E and when I got home, my dad was here to check on the pump. It appears the pipe shook itself out of the gasket. The guys are at the hardware store.
Had my procedure today. Dr said I have colitis. So I have to continue the bland diet. I also have a script but I don't remember what it is. It's supposed to reduce the inflammation.

Went and had my physical/annual exam today. Did you know that they are now recommending every three years for female exams (if you have had all normal exams, with the same partner, etc.). Anyone think this is a bad trend? My doc said insurances are leaning this way in the future. Makes me nervous. She said I do have plantar fascitis in my left foot. I was looking at these on QVC...
Micki, sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Does that mean you have inflammation of the intestines or the stomach? Sounds rather painful, either way! Hope the diet and medication does the trick!

Sorry about that nasty diagnosis... i hope the drugs help. The diet will for sure (i had a co-worker at the gym that had it bad)
Hi Shari-
Funny you mentioned doctor and female exam so i thought you went to that kind of Dr, but then you threw your foot problem in there and confused me... I thought "Wow her Ob/Gyn checks her feet too?" LOL!!!!
I have Plantar Fac. too.
Good shoes do the WORLD of good. When mine was at it's worst I had inserts in my tennis shoes and was told to wear them all my waking hours, no slippers, no bare feet, no sandles. Glad it's not flared up now. Luckily I worked at the gym during that time - It'd be hard to have an office job and have to wear tennis shoes.

Micki,my DH has colitis sounds like your on the right track with it, the meds helped Jeff out a LOT!
Shari, the only "good" shoe for Plantar's is a solid sturdy lace up per my foot/ankle specialist, I actually have rigid custom made inserts for my shoes and I wear them faithfully! My doc was firm that I wasn't to wear clogs or sandals of any kind and when I do it's only for short periods of time. He also recommended THIS to sleep in, it's weird but it did help. He also recommended THESE stretches, and they still help to this day!
Now for my good news, my dad is doing so well that the plan is to release him back to the facility tomorrow afternoon or Saturday morning!!!
Girl Scouts today! Our troop sold over 1800 boxes of cookies! WOW! We will have a huge check coming! We are trying to figure out some extra field trips to take the girls on!
Didnt make it to the dr! And tomorrow is school store! I will try and call to make one for Monday! Unless my hip gets worse then it will be a trip to Urgent Care over the weekend!
