Too far away Mingler!
Good morning. Thinking of the usual folks that need prayers and adding Roy. Hope he's better soon. Not like him to agree to a doctor so that tells me how icky he's feeling.
Nikki, I'd love to share my few gals that are coming to stamp next week but I doubt they would make the drive. They actually don't order either, just visit. Guess that's not much help. They do help me get through some paper and we have fun, plus I actually got a great start on my Christmas cards the last time they were over.
I believe I am only working 2 days this week, and that's almost as good as going to California. I started a Mingle project and made a dent in a sewing project I've started, plus helped get the old furniture ready for travel to Indy. Hubby is making an overnight trip since my schedule isn't as free as his. The kids are scoring some very sturdy, very nice furniture. It's better than selling it for pennies on the dollar at a garage sale, I suppose.
Off to pin a bit and get ready. I'm opening today, but it's a later schedule. See y'all tonight. Have a good day.

This is what tells you what a score the kids made. PFC had pretty much trashed the tops of the dresser and desk. He was sanding and refinishing most of yesterday afternoon and got up a few minutes ago to put yet another coat on them to protect the surface. Since they are going to the most destructive of the grands, it seems a bit wasted. Hopefully the little guy has outgrown his tendency to deliberately ruin what is in his path, but it didn't seem that way at Christmas. They are practically new looking again. Score.

What a night! I was cooking supper and A was trying to make me coffee. Well, before I knew it, the tumbler fell over and got her in the chest! Holy carp! She was screaming, I was screaming for L's help...called trusty nurse Lisa. After the cold compresses, it seemed to be a bit better. She conked out relatively early, so I'll see how she is today.
Oh Em, I hope Roy is skippy soon!

Our power went out sometime last night. I woke up and the clock was flashing. Went to see what time it was, and it was the time I had my alarm set for. That was lucky! I still managed to end up running late though because I was messing with my hair.

Do my chapsticks count as a liquid, gel, whatever? I don't know if they need to be contained in my quart-size baggie or if they are ok in my purse.

She seems okay this morning. I am already frazzled! Driving onto M-59 this morning, some jerk of a truck driver literally sped up, not letting me in. I had to almost slam on my breaks, avoid the guardrail, and not get rear-ended by the other truck behind me. I made sure to get the company name and just wrote them a scathing letter. What a numb nut! He could have easily eased up, but instead chose to parallel me instead. Why don't people move the hell over in this state? I just don't get it. Nah, I'd rather ram you and your two children into the guardrail instead, cuz I'm rude, idiotic, and more important than you.
Phew, rant over!

I've noticed that ALL the time (blocking people in heavy traffic). I don't get it, but then I've been a passenger in a car with the driver DOING IT! Speechless.
Those of you who are traveling with me should probably be forewarned that I'm a terrible driver. And I will be driving since I'm the one who reserved the rental car. I apologize in advance. Probably best to keep your eyes closed.

When I drove the truck, I used to block people that would wait until the last minute to merge when you know the lane is going to end 3 miles back. My Malibu is not very effective for that.

Emily is still fighting the cough/sinus crud, but no fever.
My husband is fighting his skin disease and has been losing lots of blood lately. I wish he would go to the dermatologist, but really there is nothing they can do for him. He probably should go in for a blood transfusion, but that would require him to go to the doctor to get blood work.......
