Um, was it actually cold enough for the pipes to freeze?
And I wouldn't complain, either, Laura. I LOVE the heat!
The houses aren't very insulated here, but the temps were not that low either. The ground stays pretty dang warm. We all have water softeners/tanks brought in. Hers is on the outside of the house and may have gotten a tiny bit sloshy. Five minutes at 27 and then 23.5 hours of 40+ is probably not going to equal frozen pipes. Southerners?!

Howdy all! Coming to you from the shrinks office!
Thanks Michelle for the new thread!
I was about to pounce on someone in the waiting room if I would have had to listen to her phone making that annoying loud clicking noise while she text someone for a whole hour! Ugh
My back is hurting today! Must be doing too much!
Hugs Pony!
Laura you having a cold spell?
Debra glad you had a fun class!
Ben went off call this morning. Thankfully. He has one building that is boiler operated, and it lost heat last night. So they ran to the store and got space heaters for the residents. Huge problem. He had so much overtime in the last 7 days they were thinking of sending him home today. I wonder if they did, I haven't heard from him, so maybe not.
Hi Joycie!
Home from the shrink! I never go to talk to her! Hope my mom is telling the truth and answering her questions. I tried to tell my mom theres no wrong answers! But she doesnt listen to me! Lol
Ella is home with a fever! Lucky hubby wasnt working today because I would have had to wake Ella to take her with me!
Dawn Marie, my FIL has that same problem with the therapist. He tells him what he thinks he WANTS to hear. I just keep praying that the therapist is wise enough to see through Dad's answers.

I need a new phone! My cell phone isn't holding a charge. It's a bummer when you make a call and the phone dies before the other party answers! I just do not want a techie phone. I like my phone. It's just a phone. It's not too small, not too big. It's very much like a Baby Bear phone. I bet Goldilocks would LOVE it!

Pony, Jack just ordered a new battery for the phone Jaclyn is using for the same reason. Not the cute pink phone. That company went out of business. My old, old, ancient cell phone that used to be Jack's that used to be Will's. HA! ANYway, he ordered the battery online. I don't know where.

Michelle-thanks for the new thread!!!
Hugs all around from me too!
My neighbor that has been ill and has several health issues (besides having cancer) is not doing well. Her dh got a call Friday and rushed down to Ann Arbor because she now has pneumonia. The neighbor on the other side of them called to update me-and then called me again Monday to say that she has been taken off life support. It's just been one thing after another for them!!! SO sad.
Happy that Kim, Lisa, and Jocye got to Mingle!!!
I will be glad when it warms up!!!!

I have purchased one new battery, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I barely use my phone, but I rarely turn it off. When it was new, I charged it once every three weeks or so. Now, I'm charging it almost every day and I keep it plugged in when I'm in the car. I don't need anything fancy. I also don't want a tiny phone. Maybe I'll buy another battery. It's cheaper than a new phone!
My new intern started today but it was a short day because she had to meet with HR and had a job fair to go to. Unfortunately she will only be in the office two days a week. My mgr (who is friends with the interns Mom) agreed to let her work from home the other 4-8 hrs. I would love to work from home one day a week.
Glad I have another intern. I would prefer a more permanent solution though.
Ok. Done whining. I really am glad to have the help.

So the intern gets a better deal than you, Micki? That doesn't seem fair. Whine all you want {{hugs}}.
Susie, how sad for your neighbour Life can be very hard.
I am about to make supper. Been out all day chasing my tail. Poor Roy just got home, he's exhausted but has a conference call at 10.30 tonight with Russia and then a 7.00am meeting in Pontiac with the Chief Executive (can't really miss that one!) in the morning.
I have my Club starting this Friday/Saturday and I still haven't confirmed numbers or thought of projects.
PANIC!
I wonder if Joyce saw WC yet. Duh, I'm sure she has. Mine did record. I shall watch it later while I figure out some projects.
Pony, you can get some very inexpensive, small pay-as-you-go phones, that's what I'd have if I wasn't tied to a plan.
I need to shoot off ... safe travels to Michelle and the family, hope all goes well for Jay's dad and you get home safely avoiding the snow!
My Malibu rolled over 200,000 miles on the way home.

Hi there Nikki!
I also saw on FB that Michelle and family turned around and came home because of the yucky weather and will have to go next week instead.
Glad they are home and safe.
