I don't think it was blasting, I think it was telling it like it is.
There's no harm in stating opinions or saying one doesn't like some performer or thing. Where it gets old is when pretty much every time some topic gets brought up, the negative opinion gets reiterated even if it's not really germane. Any time Lorien says something like "I downloaded the new Taylor Swift song today" it's probably not necessary to state a negative opinion of Taylor Swift.
To give a comparison, it's like if I said "ewww, meat is gross" any time someone mentioned what they had for dinner that night. I'm a vegetarian, most people know that, I don't need to state my dislike for meat every time someone mentions meat in passing.
Crawling back into my corner now.

Big news here in Saginaw-Cabela's opened a store here!!!! Guess it's been crazy there-with 20-30 people in line waiting to check out. Customers are being offered water and snacks while they wait. I'll wait til the "hoopla" dies down and then go see what "they're" all about. I know it's outdoor type stuff but still interested in seeing it.
Patty-glad Jeff is through with his cath. Hope he recovers fast! I tried the Cashew Chicken recipe you posted on Facebook-it was good! (I would probably use a little less soy sauce next time though.) Dh liked it too!

So, we're having a falling out over Taylor Swift? Seriously. A). I heard you mention in the past you liked her music. I had 'no idea' that she was all that and a bag of chips to you. B). I thought we were supposed to air our opinions openly, as we all do from time to time. C). I don't appreciate being called passive-aggressive or any other derogatory label. I will certainly tell you like it is. D.). Have you ever mentioned that saying negative things about anything or anybody you like offends you? Not that I've seen. E.). How can it be a personal attack against you, saying I don't like Taylor Swift? Mindboggling. As far as I'm concerned, I have always been kind and respectful to all on this board, whether I have agreed with an opinion or not. To be blasted like you blasted me today (and have others agree with your actions) is hurtful. Personal attacks are NOT okay.
I never said we were having a falling out. I just wanted to point out the hypocrisy in your rant this morning and state that I don't feel the need to make critical remarks about people I don't even know, especially when other people on this thread have said they like the person. I am not blasting you. Just giving my opinion, as you have. I thought that as adults, we could both handle the discussion. Sorry that you took it as an attack.

Corey was telling me how the Gander Mountain there has turned itself into sort of outlet store and cut most of it's inventory because they knew they couldn't compete.
Have you ever been to the one in Dundee? It is worth checking out for sure.

Marshmallow vodka and hugs all around. Unless we stop chatting altogether, toes are going to get stepped on. Human nature. We can be friends and disagree respectfully. I know I've stepped on a few before and will again. As I said earlier, I like that we can point out our differences, hold each other accountable, and learn from what we've said that bothers people. I base a lot of my behavior on things I've seen that I don't care for, or on gentle nudges from others.
Wow, am I VERY glad I'm not on that cruise from H E double toothpicks. The compensation offers are a joke. Those poor people.

I think I'm done organizing for the evening, despite the fact I haven't finished. Lost my motivation after my nap and making dinner. It was good. K&D steak, mashed cauliflower, and a bleu cheese wedge salad. Better than a steak house.

Last I heard, they were offering the passengers a free cruise in the future. I can't imagine any of them will want to go again! I certainly hope they're getting a full refund.

I think that is what they were offering the people on the Concordia too. I'm sure they jumped at the offer.

A cruise is not on my wish list, though under some circumstances I'd consider one. It just seems when you cram the population equivalent of a small town on a ship in the middle of the ocean, potential for problems is high. Achille Lauro? Mass illness? Total lack of services? I'll take my quiet spot here, thanks.

I have it on good authority (Laura) that marshmallow vodka + limeade tastes like a Key lime pie. We couldn't find limeade, but we did marshmallow vodka and lemonade, and that was good, too.

I heard some pretty disgusting things on our local news from the sister of a cruiser. About the bathroom situation.
I've never had any desire to go on a cruise. It sounds like a nightmare to me, on a good day.
Um, how does one go potty in a baggie? Just the thought of that just wigs me out! Said they were using the deck chairs as beds. Can't be too warm up top this time of year!

I respectfully request that cruise potty talk continue for no longer than another half hour. Because then I'll be home and eating dinner and catching up on the thread.

Well, if I can't go camping in the most beautiful place on Earth due to the lack of potties, I can't imagine going on a ship wherever. That's just wrong on so many levels! Due to the cruise industry's problem with illness of late, cruises haven't appealed to me either.

I'm going to bed early tonight. I caught a little head cold. I'm blaming the woman behind me on the plane that was sneezing. She was in front of Lorien.
And I've never been to Cabela's. Do we need a field trip?
I haven't watched Dallas, but how are they handling Larry Hagman's death? Larry and his outrageous eyebrows will be sorely missed. J.R. Ewing was such a fun character.
