DH is now home. He was gone a week. He went and had dinner with an old colleague...his daughter is a year older than L and they have been pen pals. Both men want to do an exchange, where DH and L fly over together, and L would stay on for a week or two living with this family. Both girls would then fly over together and their girl would stay with us. DH is super gung ho....hello, L is only 11!!!!

I'm off work tomorrow. CW wanted to know if I would switch since she wasn't subbing on Monday and had a chance to sub on Friday. I was glad to do it. She's been a real treasure. I don't know what I'll do if she finds another job over the summer!
I plan to sleep in and then get my crafting room in order. I want to get back to stamping and/or scrapping every day. I also need to try to get my SU business going. If I don't, this will be my last quarter. Being able to clear a flat space is a prereq to doing either of those things!
If the roads aren't too bad, I need to take the car in for an oil change. Jay says he doesn't even want to attempt it. The car has some kind of "shield" under the engine and Jay can't even tell where the oil filter is without taking it off. Because it's still so new, he feels it's better to pay the $25 and not risk messing something up.
Hi ladies! I was going to check in earlier but got called out. I had a busy afternoon. Club, then ran to town with Jake. Then baked over 300 treats for Harley and went to a snowmobile accident. Either I am getting old or I was abused on that callout! lol. Got kicked in the knee, fell down in the snow with all the bags on my arms, so I couldn't get up and had to have help up (that's what the cute firemen are there for. wink wink), I got back in the rig with three fingers still attached to my rubber glove (haha), my shoulders, legs and knee are all sore (probably from hauling all that stuff through knee deep snow in the woods!). The snowmobile was on the trail about 1/4 mile off the road and we walked to it. It probably sounds like I am whining, but I am actually laughing while I relay all that. I love it!

I woke up lots but went back to sleep. A gal at work watched the whole season of DA online. I may get the website from her.
I'm with Micki and am intimidated by my out of control hobbies. Simple is better.
DH was on the phone last night giving a lot of our furniture to the kids. Guess we are going furniture shopping. He wants 2 rocking recliners. Seriously, a bedroom set, the dining set, AND the family room furniture. I made a tray of bar cookies to send to "pfc". New name inserted. Still in shock he gave away most of our furniture.
He said we will bring it to them in a few weeks!? Slow down, Sparky.
3 day work week but no time at home, we leave for the UP Thursday.
Off to pin a bit. Happy Monday.
Shari, sounds like a wonderful trip for L, later. Cool idea. Did she like the idea? We did that with pfc but only to Cali and they were 15. Big difference.
